Congratulations Hopefulat37, it was very great news that you have now incoming twins. Ultrasound awhile ago is very useful for everyone, like to be able to see the condition of your baby inside the womb. That now you're not worrying with the babies. Good luck and have a healthy pregnancy.
Hi everyone, I'm writing this through my tears. I'll be signing off from this forum. Went for our u/s this a.m. and the baby hadn't grown and there was no heartbeat. They called it a "missed abortion". I'm going for a d & c tomorrow. We had somewhat prepared ourselves for this after our last u/s showed a delay in the growth, however my pants had grown tighter and I had many other symptoms... I guess I am another heartbreak story... For those of you who are pregnant, I wish you all the best. I am lucky because we have our wonderful 5 yr old son to treasure. We have 2 frosties so we will try FET in a few months. Thanks for the support over the last few weeks. It really helped. Nicole
Hi everyone, I am coming from the Fall cycle group in which we finally got our BFP. We originally had twins but an ultrasound yesterday shows that we lost one to a subchorionic hemorriage that started last monday. Our other baby seems to be doing great. It measured at 6w6d yesterday and its hb was 122bpm. We were instructed to take 5 days of progestrone suppositories and were released to our OB. I was the NP at my OB's office and she ran bw, urine sample, pap smear, along with a breast and pelvic exam. She said my uterus seems to be measuring correctly and then she gave me a flu shot and told me to come back on the 26th to make sure the hemorriage is healing. As long as all goes well our EDD is 5/30/2011. I know its the end of May 2011 but if its ok I'd like to join this group. I need to read to catch up but I hope everyone is feeling well. Has anyone started having MS? I only am fatigued and have sore breasts but no other symptoms. The nurse said not to worry but that is hard right now.
Welcome Hopeforbabies!
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of one of your twins, that must be hard. Hopefully your other bubba continues to grow and thrive like it sounds he/she is!
In answer to your question about morning sickness - started and hopefully on it's way out! I've had enough and hope I never vomit again! Unlikely since I spent half an hour this morning with my head in the laundry basin after smelling burning toast in the kitchen!
Nothing much else to report. I'm weaning off the estrogen and progesterone this week and next, so hopefully that is all OK! Ultrasound on Monday
Kizmet- I think I remember you from one of the other threads I was on. Sorry your MS has been so bad but I read that those who have MS are less likely to miscarry so there is a silver lining to everything. Even if its hugging a toilet! When did the MS start? I know I shouldnt wish for it but it would make me feel more pregnate and tell me that everything is ok in there. I know I'm being crazy but I cant help it. How far along are you? What are they doing at the next u/s? Measurements?
Hopeforbabies - I'm coming up to 12 weeks. The morning sickness started around 6 or 7 weeks and has been pretty consistant since then. The few days I've had without it have sent me into panic but about now I'm ready to wave it goodbye! My next ultrasound is the nuchal translucency ultrasound which along with a blood test can help identify the chances of your baby having Down's Syndrome. Not that I'm high risk by any means but in Australia it is a pretty common screening test and if your chances are 1/300 or higher, they offer you an amnio. I really signed up for it just to get an extra ultrasound in!
IVF # 1 - Fresh cycle ended in OHSS with 2 frosties May 2010
FET # 1 - Transfer 13 Aug 2010, Beta 8/24 101, Beta 8/31 2021, Beta 9/7 17017
Kizmet- That's too funny about wanting to get the extra ultrasound. I told the nurse when she wanted me to come back in two weeks that she could order as many u/s as she'd like. I said they make me feel better that my baby is still inside me especially since I'm not expirencing many symptoms. In the US the nuchal translucency is also widely recommended and I will be having one done also. I'm waiting for the lab who does them to call me to set up my appointment. Sorry your MS has been so bad but you are almost out of your first tri. (YAY!) so hopefully that will get better for you very soon. Are you going to find out the sex? Are you hoping for a boy or a girl? Are you having any feelings about what it is?
I had my 12 week ultrasound today which was wonderfully reassuring to see that everything is going well. It's amazing how much moving around in there the little Bean is doing!
Hope everyone else is well!
Cheers
Kiz

Kizmet- I'm glad your little bean is looking great! So you can already feel it moving? When did you first start to feel that? I wish my weekend had been as quiet as the board had been. I had another heavy bleeding episode that lasted from Friday night till Sunday early evening. I had a u/s done this morning and my baby still looks great. Its hb is 161bpm now and the dr. said there isnt any threat to the baby right now. Still it is very scary to see that much blood and know there is nothing you can do to stop it. I hope this hemorriage resolves soon because I dont think I can take another 7 months of this random bleeding and freaking out. Oh and they have put me on progestrone suppositories for the next 5 weeks. I thought pregnancy was suppose to be fun and exciting.
Hopeforbabies - Pregnancy - fun and exciting? Oh don't we trully wish that were the case? Someone was asking me the other day why on earth we wouldn't want to find out the sex of our baby - my reply was that we hadn't had any suprises so far - we know which ovary the egg came from, which testicle the sperm came from, how many cells our baby was at 5 days old and the exact time and date of fertilisation, so a nice little suprise either way at birth would be nice! In answer to your question - I can't feel my baby move yet, but you can certainly see it on the ultrasound. He/she was bouncing around all over the place! Moving it's arms and legs and rolling over a couple of times.
Kizmet- I was going to ask if you wanted to know the sex because you could find out in a couple of weeks. I never really thought about it that way but you are right it would be nice to have at least one surprise in this whole ART adventure. I on the other hand am too inpatient and want to know. My NP said that sometimes they can tell you at the Nuchal Translucency scan so I'm hoping I can find out even sooner. Its cool that you cant feel the baby move yet but can see it! Although that wont be the case much longer for you. Soon you will feel it's little flutters and then it will move on to kicking you! I had to laugh at my friend who said it wasn't the kicks to the ribs that she hated so much as when her son would kick her in the colon! Oh the fun things to come.
Hi Ladies!!!! I am officially 12 weeks. OMG, I never thought I would make it this far.
We were able to see the babies on Monday. They look great and were moving all around, kicking and rolling. Hands, arms, legs, feet, bellies, hearts......what a HUGE relief!!!!
The doctor said my Progesterone level is high enough to quit taking the injections. FINALLY! But only for a month.
Beginning at 16 weeks I will start taking a weekly injection of Delalutin to prevent pre-term labor.
Anyone heard of it?
