Jenice - I am so sorry for you loss. I am sure that it will be hard on you for a long time. Make sure in all of this to take time for yourself and to take good care of yourself and your baby!

mev - I am glad your trip and news went well. Boston is interesting, I liked visiting Boston a lot more than I liked living there. It has its own unique style that just didn't mesh well with my personality.

Kitty - horray! A Boy and a girl!!! I am sure you are thrilled. I had one bad little boy that didn't want to sit still for the ultrasound either. Luckily I had a very experienced tech who was able to get all the measurements he needed.

AFM - I am doing great. I had a moment this week where I just wanted to smack my husband. So our bed is about 10 years old and I had bugged him about 4-5 months ago about how we needed a new bed. He told me that it was just me and the bed was fine. Our room isn't huge and the co-sleeper can only go on his side, so last week we switched sides of the bed so we could get used to sleeping on the other side before the babies come and we are tired. So after about 5 days sleeping on the opposite side, he tells me my (old) side is really uncomfortable and we need a new bed. I was ready to ring his neck=) The good news is we picked out a new mattress and figured out how to rearrange the room a little and are getting a king instead of a king... woo-hoo! I can't wait! I hope you ladies are all having a great week!

Thanks everyone for your condolences. It has been such a shock to our family. I try not to get to stressed cause I have to take care of the baby. The next hearing we should see the evil murderers and I know that will make everyone upset. Plus, I have these raging hormones as it is. I'm dreading to go but out of respect for my family member I must go. I have been feeling the baby stir occasionly, which gives me something to look forward too.

I have been trying to get my old nursery cleaned out. When my DD got older we switched her to another room. So, the nursery is ready to go but we tended to dump old toys and outgrown clothes in there. It is amazing how much stuff we collect from having kids. I think this might be our last child. So, if we have a boy then all the girl clothes I space bagged and put in totes in the basement are going :( They are worth $$$$ though :) I must have 15 totes in my basement of my DD clothes. I went crazy on toys when my DD was little, I have tons of totes of toys also. I just have to sort through everything.

Just checking in to say Hi! I hope everyone is doing well. It's been pretty quiet out there, I'm guess that we're all enjoying being out of our 1st trimester and the resurgence of energy. We've been busy trying to put our registry together.
We started a bank account for the babies this week. And starting to get overwhelmed thinking about how we're going to finance my maternity leave, nanny/day care, and how early do we need to start thinking about if we live in the right school district!?! We're trying to tackle the things we can deal with at the present moment. :)

Hope to hear updates from everyone soon!

Jenice- I'm so sorry for your horrible loss. I hope they pay for what they did. I know there are no correct words when someone gets taken from you so suddenly but I truly am sorry.

Mev- Yup...sounds about right. Busy with the registry. UGH. Working my tail off. I go on maternity leave in one month so not much longer for me.

AFM- We found out today it's a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our sequential screenings looked perfect and everything is going well so far. I hope you are all doing well. :)

PA-FA - CONGRATS !!!!! It is sooo much fun having a girl. All those awesome dresses, they are sooo cute. I can't wait to find out in about 2 more weeks to go. I think I'm having a boy, even though when I was preggo with my DD I also thought I was having a boy then too. I never found out the first time. So, I'm very excited to find out. It feels like waiting for christmas morning I can't wait.

Thanks for your condolences . I would LOVE the death penalty for these horrible people  Some days are better than others. It just doesn't feel real. My family member shouldn't of died that way, I hope he didn't know it was going to happen but I think he did :cry:Hoping he is @ peace now.

Mev0630 - I wouldn't worry about school districts just yet. You have 5 years to move if you had too. I used my sick time for maternity plus had short term insurance. I also had saved a bunch of $$$$ for my maternity leave.

AFM - I'm almost 18 weeks starting my 5th month. My DD is getting excited, she tells everyone Mommy has a a baby in her tummy. It is so cute. 5 More months to go.My sequential screening came out great. I'm really showing now. Can't wait in 2 more weeks finding out the sex of the baby !!!!!

Hello everyone :)
PA_FA go team pink! Congrats.

Jenice-Good Luck with your gender scan!

Purple-yes my little boy is becoming quite the menace! My little girl LOVES to have ultrasounds its like she knows shes on film, she stays still when they need her too and if they need her to move she squirms the other way TOO CUTE! I have to go back again in 3 weeks to have another u/s since they still cant get all of his measurements. He has nessled right under my pubic bone and jammed his little head in there so they are having some difficulties! But that means I get to see them again :)

AFM-Nothing new really, past the halfway mark and I cant beleive it. It seems like my 2WW just ended yesterday! Still unpacking boxes, ugh! It is never ending. Doctor says everything seems right on track so far!
Hope all is well ladies !

Hi All! Glad to see updates from everyone!

purpleFish - Glad to hear you were able to get a new and bigger bed! With the discomfort I've been having with sleep, I'm sure my DH wishes we had a bigger bed so I don't disturb his so much! (I'm usually a back sleeper, so now that I'm not allowed to I toss and turn all right going from one side to the next :( )

PA_FA - Congrats on your girl! I actually saw your news on the Winter Board. Must be nice to say "she" instead of having to use a neutral nickname! So, have you started building the pink and purple wardrobe for her yet? :)

Jenice - I'm excited for your US and determining the sex!?! I know we have time before our kiddies go off to school, but this has been my DH's latest obsession :)

Kittymom - Isn't it great to be halfway! I've been enjoying it, this also means that my OB appts are every 2 weeks and US is once a month. Which I love! The more I can hear or see the babies the happier I am!

AFM - Had another US today! The babies are doing great, growing equally in size and both 13 oz. They move around alot and changed positions. Baby Boy is now on the bottom, Baby Girl is laying across (perpendicular to me) and on top of her brother. I'm going to try to attach the US pictures. If it works, Baby Girl is the left picture playing peek-a-boo and Baby Boy is the right picture showing off his deltoid. :)
So, so far so good! The only thing I wasn't expecting today was for the doctor to tell us to stop having penetration sex. (Sorry if this is TMI) I knew that would come eventually, but it seems early? I'm not having any bleeding or pains, but I guess he just wants us to be safe and avoid early contractions. Any else been given this advice? Overall, I'm just so happy that the babies are doing well and I'll do whatever I have to do to keep them safe and healthy!!!!

mev - what great pictures!!! I am sorry you are having discomfort sleeping, but if it makes you feel any better I am too. The annoying part is that it doesn't get any better... doh! Not to worry though after the babies are born you will be so tired the first few months you will sleep like a rock=) My doctor said no penetration sex after 25 weeks. I think it is just a precaution to avoid preterm labor and with twins you are high risk, even if you are having a healthy normal pregnancy. You get to go back every two weeks, that is great. I am still once a month until 30 weeks. Then I go to every two weeks.

kitty - what a boy! It is cute though and kind of nice that you get to see them again! I agree that the 2ww seemed forever and for me the last month has flown by, and my belly just keeps growing.

jenice - I can't wait for you to find out either. My little ones seem bored with the idea that I have babies in my belly. They were excited for about a week, but I think it is still too far away for them to get excited over.

PA - a girl!!! yay! That is great news!

AFM - wow 23 weeks! At 25 weeks my doctor asks that we pre-register at the hospital and have a bag packed just in case (and of course hope you don't use it). It doesn't seem like so much time now=) The good news is after 25 weeks the baby has a decent chance of surviving, so that is nice to know. I know my biggest fear is preterm labor (even though it didn't happen the first time around). I am glad to hear that everyone is doing so well. How is everyone's belly looking? Is anyone else feeling movement yet? My boy is one good kicker already. My girl I can only feel if I am really still.

Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Hi everybody

Thought I'd pop by to let you know that I got a BFP today after my FET. Beta was 150 - bang on the median for single pregnancies. I've got my fingers crossed for a nice big number at my next blood test on Weds.

Mev - I love the pics. They're great.

PA - yay for a baby girl!

To all you other ladies, lovely to hear your pregnancies are zooming along. I can't believe that some of you are half way there already.

Hello there
Mev-Your pictures are great. I love the peek-a-boo :) We had a 3D done also and the twins were so close they looked like they were hugging I loved it. Cant wait to see them again in 2 weeks. Im jealous you go every two weeks now my OB still said once a month for now (I have to go a week early this month since he will be away). I can relate to the sleeping (or lack there of!) I cannot get comfortable no matter what I do, then I end up getting super frustrated because I'm over tired turns into a vicious cycle! I cant imagine what it is going to be like the bigger i get!

Purple-My belly is growing out of control too! MY DH has been away for a week and I cant wait to see what he says about it when he gets home tomotrrow. I cant feel either one of them :( I know they move because I see them on the u/s and when they have th Doppler on you can hear the swishing around but nothing I can feel. The only thing I feel is little flutters but nothing inthe way of kicking. Her placenta is in the front so they say it may be hard for me to ever feel her and that hopefully I'll be feeling him soon. I think I'd be a bit more relaxed between appointments if I could feel them. Guess it was all the "extra padding" I had thanks to those lovely fertility meds!

JEnice-Cant wait to hear if you are having a boy or girl. Not long now ;)

PA-So have you bought every adorable little girl outfit you've seen? I'm gettting a bit out of control in the baby clothes department.

Hope everyone is well :D

Mev- Your 3d is way clearer than mine. Maybe it's because mine is in sepia color? They are so cute though! I love the peek-a-boo! I haven't really started buying clothes or anything yet. We did order the crib. It will take 8-12w to get here. EEK! At least that gives me plenty of time to clean out the nursery and paint it. Now I just have to get DH to move the boxes. I have been looking for non pink dresses and such. I found a really cute blue and white one at babies r us. :)

Tess- congrats sweetie! I am so happy for you!

Purplefish- I have been feeling her since 17w. Though after 18w is got stronger. After 19w there were some really uncomfortable kicks. At my 20w u/s the tech could feel her. 2 nights ago DH felt her for the first time. I swore she would be a boy she kicks soooooo hard. Maybe she is going to be a kickboxer?

jenice- I can't wait for you to find out either. Have you been having people tell you that you should not find out and that you are "ruining" the surprise? I had one girl practically yell at me!

AFM- I am on my last trip for work right now. I'm in Milan in my hotel room eating dinner by myself. :( Ah the "glamorous" life of a flight attendant. I can work until the end of October but I have vacation so this is really my last trip on schedule. I may do one more with my hubby on his birthday next week. Not sure yet. This trip has made me so tired. My back and feet are killing me. Anyhow..kind of annoyed that the crew did not want to do anything. That's just the luck of the draw though. Sometimes you get really good people to fly with and sometimes they have their own agenda. Oh and it is Sunday so most shops are closed. Double :(
I'm glad everyone is doing well. Big hugs!

AFM - I went for my 24 week checkup today. The listened to both heartbeats and sent me home. I get to have and ultrasound in about 3 weeks though!! Then I go back for my 28week checkup. How is everyone doing? getting excited? Has anyone thought about names? We have it narrowed down to three (each).

Hi everyone!
mev - yay for a good check 24-week check up, that's a nice milestone to hit! your u/s pics are adorable, they are so cute!! DH and i have have been talking about baby names since forever ago (i guess IVF gives you plenty of time to prep :D ). we had friends over on fri eve, and everyone (but me) drank a bit too much and started brainstorming baby names, what a sight. i am french (born & raised) and everyone was trying to find french names that people in our small North Carolina town could pronunce, that's definitely a challenge :) we had a lot of fun with it, I think we have narrowed it down to 3-4 for boys and have the girls names picked out already.
pafa - congrats on your last flight! that's great news! it sounds like that trip to milan was exhausting... but now you are home and have plenty of time to get ready for the arrival of your little girl.... i have 2 more trips scheduled for work before i stop travelling too - one in amsterdam in early nov, and one to las vegas for thanksgiving (to go see DH's 92-yr old grandfather). i am so dreading the amsterdam trip, last week i flew to baltimore, it was only a 1 hour flight, and i was only 17 weeks pregnant, but oh my did my legs swell up. i can't imagine a transatlantic flight. btw, i saw you posted on the winter cycler baby board about marriott beds... i am a huge marriott bed addict, and so is my husband :D we ended up buying a marriott bed (the entire kit - mattress, boxspring, comforter, pillows & linens) from shopmarriott.com. this is probably the best purchase we ever made, i don't know how they build these things but they are just heavenly. you should check it out. hope your shower goes well this weekend.
purple - wow isn't 25 weeks early to start packing a bag for the hospital? what all do you even need in it? i am behind you all but barely have a baby bump, my belly is not much at all, what about you??
kittymom - congrats for passing the halfway mark!
jenice - have you found out the gender yet? i know how much you & DD were looking forward to that. so sorry about your family member, this is just awful.

afm - we had our anatomy scan yesterday. it was amazing! i knew what to expect but it's still took my breath away to see those little tiny babies with all their body parts already in place, they look like babies already, what a change that was from the 11 week scan! they were moving like crazy, both are very active. they are on top of each other, and managed to move from toe-to-toe to head-to-head within the 45 minutes we were in the ultrasound room. everything checked out fine, they have all their fingers & toes, all the right parts in their heart, and all was good. they are approx 8 oz each. DH and i walked in the apt determined not to find out genders, but DH just had to know once he saw those little babies on the screen. i still want the surprise so he found out and promised to keep it a secret from me. we'll see how long he can keep that secret :) so from now on i have to go back to the OB every 2 weeks, i guess they want to monitor me frequently b/c it's twins - i hope that means i'll get more u/s that way! we also booked a 3-d scan for later in the winter when we are closer to 30 weeks. my friends are starting to plan my shower, we'll probably do it during the early part of Jan b/c Nov/ Dec are just too busy for everyone. all is good otherwise, hope you all continue to have a happy health pregnancy!
