Oh, for the love of! I just this really long post and added a link, I went to make sure the link worked and my post disappeared! That bam, bam, bam sound? that would be the sound of me banging my head on the desk! Arghhh!
Ok, lets try this again and this time my lazy ass will remember to copy & paste!

So at my Ob appt everything is normal - but he said I'm 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced. I got all excited when he said "I'll see you next week IF you havent delivered by then!" And then I got nervous! It was the way he said it that got me all nervous, he put a big emphasis on that IF. Then I read Babyluv's post so now I'm not sure what to think? I know its a big difference between twins & a singleton, but he did give me my "when to go to the hospital" instructions also
When contrax are 45-60 seconds long, coming every 5-7 minutes and have been continuous for 1 hr.Or if your water breaks. I called Chris from the parking lot and he tried to panic! i was telling him all this means is to get the rest of everything done ASAP. Like perhaps installing the car seat base would be a good idea? Its funny that yesterday I was all about - "I'm ready, lets go already" and when the OB said that - I was like thinking all these crazy thoughts, like "wait, I have a hair appt tom" "I need to wash the floors again" "I need a pedicure" I wonder what goes through your head when its actually time to go to the hospital? lol. Umm, well, ok I THOUGHT I was ready... guess not just yet haha

Steph - How are you holding up honey? I know that BH dont affect your dilation, but whatever happened to "the patients right to pain relief"? I mean its not you havent been at this for awhile now. How many days of feeling like you're in labor without any babies to show for it are you supposed to endure? I'm sending you all sorts of 'vaginal labor" vibes, but so far nada? at least you can see the light at the end of 8 more days, right? Jeez - I hope that Ethan & Angelina are soon to be on the move! haha - I'd love it we delivered the same day, but how will we get all 3 babies to agree to this? lol. Grrrr! Why is it that Andrew's command seem to have their heads up their behinds all the time? They seem to fit that old Army acronym SNAFU? ( situation normal- all fucked up)
What fun they must be to have to listen to! Dont you worry about Alex, you've done an awesome job with her! I think that she'll be the one to straighten her frriends out! And besides, doens she still think that the baby monitor will catch her if she were to try to sneak out at night? lol. I'm sending you loads of patience dust to deal with your in laws! I hope it goes well, and doesnt stress Alex out too much, maybe she'll be amused instead and end up keeping busy with them? Try to hang in there honey, theres light at the end of 8 more days - ooh, stubborn babies! much love - xoxoxo

Babyluv - OK, so you beat me by 20% haha. Yeah for getting a c section date soon too! Its good to have a countdown date, isnt it? Ummm, so your OB thought 1 cm dilation was no big deal? I wonder what mine didnt tell me then? hmmm.... well we'll see if he was right about my appt next week, even though I sure think Steph will be next - thankfully. I think to have 3 girls in HS at the same time will be ok, they'll lean on each other more since they'll be so close in age to Scarlett. Theres more support that way, dont you think? How are you feeling?

Angela - Glad that your spotting is disappating. Who needs more stress at this time? Yes, no news from OBs office is good news. They always call with bad news, but seem to forget to inform us of good news, as long as its WNL, no phone calls. Ummm, yeah, I hate to say this but the exhaustion? for me it went into overdrive at the end of the 8th month, and by now? I fall alseep whenever I sit down on the couch - and I'm not a napping type - I think that Savannah is in charge already - haha. Oh, yes, your DH can hopefully put the crib together this weekend, its hard to focus on setting up the rest of the baby things without the main attraction, isnt it? please try to get some extra rest mama- xoxo

PA - Yippeee for being done with flying! whew! that was some schedule you had to get through! I dont see how you did it for that long with a kickboxer champion inside you either! as for the hospital bag? you'll need=

take home outfit for baby + hat
swaddle blankets/ burp cloths/ infant carrier + cover or warm blanket
take home outfit for you
larger bra/ warm socks/ robe/ slippers/ extra panties ( hear they get messy after vag birth)
thick maxi pads
breast pads
camera / video recorder / extra batteries
lip balm/ gum / mints ( heard it on another forum and sounded good)
Any paperwork that you're supposed to bring ( ins card/ birth certificate forms / name of peds dr)
make up / toiletries + ponytail holder in case your hair is long and irritates you when in your eyes!

hey, I just remembered this, has anyone decided to use a sleep positioner? We bought one and now I'm not sure if it was wasted money

Gi - HA, don't feel bad! Until a few months ago I thought effaced meant that the baby was turning face down :D It just means that my cervix is thinning out, preparing for birth. I guess my OB was right because I read about another mom with twins who was 2cm and 100% effaced for five weeks before delivering. That would be great if I could go that long!

Angela - I know, right?? He's not restricting me anymore than I already have been which is good. I will now see my OB every week and still go for my NSTs twice a week. My u/s is next Friday. I was going to go to a basketball game with DH and the kids next week (their first NBA game) but I think I will skip it now. Want to try to do as little as possible between now and 36 weeks at least. I'm sure your labs look great if you haven't heard anything!

Steph - YAYAYAYAYAYAY for being home!!!! Is Andrew allowed off now?? So what's the plan for the 13th if you don't go before then? Induction or c/s? At the moment who cares?! You broke out of jail! I'm super excited for you and the crazy big babies you have in there! I'm floored that they aren't causing you cervical changes with how much they weigh.

AFM - Forgot to mention that I peeked in my chart and saw the results from my last glucose test. My number was 137 which I am pretty sure is the max my office uses! Some doctors use 130, 134, 137 or 140. Whatever it was, I must have passed in their minds because he didn't say I needed to do the 3 hour. WHEW!! Talk about cutting it close! Claudia, I made sure to not eat anything sugary the night before, just in case. You scared me with that one!

While I'm sure I won't get to pick my actual c/s date, I think it would be awesome if it's November 11 and I made it that far. That was they would turn 1 on 11/11/11.

Steph - Wheee! it must be good to be home! Thankfully that nurse could see how miserable you were! Finally someone paid attention! You just resist the urge to take care of the house or guests please! Let Andrew handle it! I hope that you can sleep without Ambien, and with a full house - promise me no playing hostess!!! much love - xoxoxoxo

Gi - I know! my ticker is scaring me too! Now I'm all about - ummm, soon? really? but i'm not ready yet - yikes! oh. well the babies are in charge of us all and they dont care about due dates, doctors or calendars! Effaced refers to how soft your cervix is. Ooooh I love Slumber Bear! and the Simpsons too! Jason is so sweet! its a good man who can make you laugh at little things - much love to you & your mam - xoxoxo

Babyluv - Umm, now you've got me wondering why my OB acted like I'd be any day now? This was the OB that tells jokes all the time - but if he was just trying to freak me out by saying "IF' I see you next week" ooohh, i'll beat him with his own stethoscope! Cant wait to hear what Juliette & Amelia's birthday will be! xoxoxo

Katie - we were posting at the same time. The reason I don't think 1cm is a big deal is because pretty much all of my friends were at 1 or 2cm for weeks. Your OB most likely said that because you are so far along already...so you very well may have that baby girl in the next week! You are also walking around a lot and doing stuff, so that will only help you to dilate more...stuff I'm trying to avoid. I really want to keep the girls out of the NICU as much as possible, though I feel confident that they will be just fine if born any time soon...I just want to take them home with me! I'm feeling OK...sort of yucky today, but better now that I've eaten. My mom is going home for several days next week and I REALLY hope the babies stay in! I also have a hair appt and really want to get it in :D I think I'll get a pedi tomorrow! HAHA, the things that go through our minds. The good news is that I have my next OB appt on Tues and she doesn't leave until Wed. If something drastic changes, she'll stay. We have friends who will take the kids if I go into labor and she's not here, and of course she can be up in three hours, but hopefully they make it to November!

GI- I was thinking the same thing. LOL So babyluv thanks for explaining it. :) Yeah I got really crampy from the walk which is probably why I slept for 7 hrs, awake for 3 and then slept for 9. I'm happy to be home but I'm really going to miss flying. Funny slumber bear. I'd laugh if baby's first words were a Simpson's quote! We have a beer bottle opener that has Homer's voice saying..."MMMMM Beer".

Katie- IF you make it to next week? OMG EEEKKKKKK it's like a race between you and Stephanie. ARGH I am so excited!
Thanks for the packing list. I have no idea what to buy for baby girl to wear home. Poor little thing will probably be born during a blizzard. LOL I also read on a list that you should pack your own shampoo/conditioner and soap because hospital stuff is yucky.

Stephanie- EEEKK you are home???? The Army better let Andrew off. And you better stay in that bed even though I'm sure you can probably think of a million things you would rather be doing. Oh wait...isn't Andrew's family on their way there? Maybe you should go back to the hospital ASAP. ;)

Angela- I'm glad the spotting is better but I'm sorry you are so tired. :( It's tough finding a place for a loved one. I'm sure I will be faced with that some day with my mom since she has MS and COPD. I agree that no news is good news as far as tests go.

Babyluv- I will need a Dr note to take me off flying now. Normally there is some paperwork to fill out at 27w. We are not allowed to fly beyond that. If you go out early it's no biggie. My Dr's don't like me flying international anyhow. They want me to do only domestic but that would mean a transfer and I'd much rather be intl. Better money too. :) DH is still flying. So when he goes somewhere I love I have him bring me treats. Chocolate from the UK, potato chips from Spain, etc. LOL

AFM- I hardly felt baby girl all day so it has been freaking me out. OK and here comes some TMI (sorry). I haven't been able to go to the bathroom in 2 days. Coffee isn't working and neither is lots of water. SO any cures for constipation? I made chili tonight for dinner. Now just looking for something wonderful to watch on tv so I can feed my face. I read that this week baby can start to taste whatever we eat in her amniotic fluid. Spicy chili for me!!! I can not have a picky eater like my DH. OOOHHH he is just horrible! LOL
Have a great night everyone!

Gi – Yes, I am still on meds … baby ASA daily, Heparin BID, Progesterone IM shot weekly, etc. and I will most likely be on all of them until I give birth except for the Progesterone. I will stop that at 36 weeks. Effaced means that her cervix is thinning out, especially once it reaches 100% effaced. Don’t worry these are new terms for several people.

Stephanie – I know you are happy to be home finally. So you have about 8 days not unless they decide to make an early grand entrance. I hope that it goes quickly for you!

Katie – So you are dilated 1 cm and 60% effaced … that is great news!!! I am sure I will feel the same way that you do regarding my delivery debating if I am ready. It makes me think about a physician that I know who told me that when she was pregnant with her first baby when she was a resident and she felt completely overwhelmed. So she said that she put everything on hold, as far as preparing for the baby. But, guess what … the baby arrived at 34 weeks and she didn’t even have a crib, clothes, diapers, etc. She said that she thought that she had plenty of time to prepare. So, you should feel at ease that you have all of the major things already purchased and ready for your bundle of joy. All of the other things will come into place, so try not to worry. You know I am telling you this now so when it is my turn you can tell me the same thing … lol!

Babyluv – Yeah it might be wise to skip that NBA game at this point. I am thinking about the same thing. My DH talked me into purchasing NFL tickets for the Bengals vs. Miami Dolphins (he is a huge Dolphins fan) for Oct. 31 and I will be turning 33 weeks that week. So, I might not be able to make that game after all.

PA_FA – I know the constipation can be very uncomfortable. Try some Colace (stool softeners). They normally help me out a lot. I agree with you, it sounds great to have DH bring all of those nice treats home for you. It sounds yummy!

PA - I agree with Franca and have a funny story about prune juice. When Alex was maybe 2 years old he was really constipated, so I gave him a sippy cup of prune juice. No one told me to just use a little and dilute the rest for him, so he got a full 8oz straight up. The boy pooped through FOUR diapers (and two pair of pants) in ONE HOUR!!! I will NOT do that again! I will also not give my son THREE CANS of apple juice again in a 12 hour time period (the flight from Moscow to Atlanta). He got off the plane in snow pants because his jeans were a total mess. Ah, the things we have to learn the hard way. Hope you feel better! And just so you know, I went through the same thing with the girls not moving much, even just a few weeks ago. I think sometimes they hit growth spurts and spend more time sleeping. It seemed to come in three day cycles. Get checked out if you are worried for sure, but I'm betting she'll be moving around again soon.

Angela - So DH is a Dolphins fan, huh? Is he from South Florida? I grew up in West Palm so most of my friends from down there love the Dolphins. For some reason I don't...and I don't know why! Sometimes you just have to pick a nemesis I guess :D I love the Bucks, but we are now Kansas City fans because of Darren. I would just wait to see how you are doing at that time. If things are going well, I don't see why you couldn't go to the game, but if you are not feeling great or are worried, definitely better to stay home. Darren is taking the kids next week (hope he can get a friend to go with him) and will probably just stay for the first half. It's a preseason game and the tickets were given to him, so no pressure. I've always joked that I can't go to any Magic games until after the babies are here or else I'll go into labor...I get waaaaay to into it.

AFM - Last night I had a hard time sleeping because my hip bones were hurting. This time it wasn't the side of my hips, but the bones in front. I went to massage them and they were GONE!! My stomach has enveloped them! HA, I never noticed before. When I lay on my side I can feel them a little, but they are in a totally different place now. I guess my hips and pelvic area really are just opening up and getting ready for these babies to come out.

Whoo hoo, just got the call!! Unless they come sooner, the girls are scheduled to arrive on 11/11!! I was so excited...apparently the coordinator who called was not as enthused, but oh well. They aren't her babies :D So five weeks from tomorrow is the plan. I hope I make it that far because I know it will be good for the babies, but I also think it's a way cool birthday.

Franca- Thanks for the advice. I may have to make a trek to the store.

Babyluv- Your poop story made me laugh out loud. EW! OK note to self..no prune juice or apple juice for baby girl. Especially on a plane. I can't imagine how much that would smell. I hate it when a parent puts a poopy diaper in the bathroom without tying it into a baggie first. The smell makes me gag every time I go in there. So I have registered for biodegradable bags to put diapers in when I travel. :)
Congrats on getting a date! 11/11 is very cool!

AFM- I feel a "little bit" better this morning. (Read...coffee did it's trick...a little bit) UGH. I did feel her kick me a lot after half a cup and some cheerios. :) The sun is finally out here so I think it's time to go to the store. It's been raining for days!!!!!!!!!!!! Later gators!

Steph - I hope you were happy to sleep in your own bed - its been awhile, right? Now I'm just hoping that you'll stay in it! please let Andrew take care of all the running around, you just stay put twin mama, ok? And i'm still sending you patience dust to try to relax at home. Get back in bed, or on the couch
much love - xoxoxo

Babyluv - Oooh, 11/11 will be a fantastic birthday for Juliette & Amelia! Now just 5 more weeks, ok? You can do it! Eeek! for your belly taking over your hip bones, I still have mine, but alot less of them lol. Actually my belly seems like its wrapping around my sides too, which looks really weird. You are so lucky and blessed to have a Mom that can be there for you and tkae care of Alex & Scarlett so you can keep those babies in there longer. She sounds like a very special lady. Any more word on whether your parents will move closer to you? They'll be a lot of Grandkids to spoil very soon. xcoxo

PA - Umm, yeah, on the subject of pg & constipation, first it was because of all the progesterone and iron in the prenatals, then in the 2nd tri? it was gone - it seems like it comes back late in the 3rd tri again :( but listen to Angela & Babyluv, Colace is now available over the counter and its a great thing to have on hand while pg. And 1/2 cup of warmed (yes, yuk!) prune juice will set you stright pretty darn quick. It tastes gross, but just suck it down anyway. So baby didnt get excited for spicy chili? (great now I'm drooling for spicy chili yum! ) Savannah has the most movement when I start eating, but the biggest reaction from her comes from pizza ( oh, great now I want that too  )

Angela - How are you holding up mama? you would have been proud of me today - I actually had energy and managed to get so much done! For a change.. Yes, it is sort of crazy to want this so badly and for so long, then as soon as the OB says soon... all of sudden to feel like a deer in the headlights  I think Babyluv is totally right about 1 cm dilated not being a big deal, I was walking & running errands all day and today I didnt even feel that nasty pelvic pressure that I've been feeling lately. We do have everything all ready for Savannah - its just the realization that we're going to have a baby in this house so soon - eek! And yes, I will still be here and be reminding you to not feel nervous when you're getting close too. Hope you had a good day and didnt run yourself abd Gabriella ragged - xoxo

Claudia - What are you up to mama? busy, busy as usual? Ooops, i'll fix the list as soon as I post this, can I blame pg brain? How did your registry go? Did you have fun? Is Flick still a practicing kickboxer? xoxo

Gi - Well, you were worried about it, and it happened to me today - I was in the store and sneezed out of nowhere with no time to cross my legs and well, lets just say that I was in a big hurry to get home and change my pants - ugh  yep, i think she was right on my bladder - sigh How is little Kayla doing? is she using your bladder as a trampoline? - xoxo

Hazel - How is life with little (not so little, lol) George? You must be head over heels in love! Thinking of you, Mum... xoxo

AFM - I couldnt believe how much I got done today! I havent had that much energy for weeks now. Today I, went for a haircut and let her take off like 3 inches, so it will be easier to blow dry, dropped off clothes at Goodwill, dealt with the grocery store, walked Gracie (which isnt fun at 37 weeks, and her weighing 125lbs) blew the driveway with the leafblower, then washed and vaccumed my car, and did 2 loads of laundry and vaccumed the house. Whew! Ok, now I'm tired though, and starving, but what else is new? It seems like my whole day revolves around what to eat next  And thats where I'm off to now - to feed my face again - much love to you all - xoxoxo

Franca – It is good to hear from you and know that you are doing well.

Babyluv – No, he is not from South Florida but he wishes that he was … lol. We have been there several times to go on cruises and vacations, etc and he is like a little kid when he gets there and sees the Dolphin stadium … lol. Yes, you are right, I will just wait and see how I feel for the game to decide if I will go or not.

Yeah, so you have a C-section scheduled for 11/11 … that is great news!

Katie – That is great news that you had just a little more energy to get some things done today, please just don’t overdo it! Ok, so I just read your last post and oh my gosh I am tired just reading what you did all day … lol.

I agree that some women can walk around for awhile 1cm dilated but everyone is different and will progress at different paces. I think this is such an exciting time for all of us. We are just beginning to meet our babies or it is coming very, very soon!

PA_FA – I am glad that you are feeling better today. I don’t like those constipation days at all. But, the further I get in my pregnancy; they don’t seem to come as often. So that is something to look forward to.

Claudia – Yes, you will be term around 11/11 I believe. So it might be a race between you and Babyluv to see which baby or babies that we get to meet first.

AFM – I had a little more energy today than yesterday, which is good. But, once again I had a long day and didn’t make it back home to get the nap that I so needed. But, I did have a productive day. And, no I still didn’t get to order my darn letters again today. I decided to call before I left for work today to ensure I was able to reach someone and the service rep at The Flower Factory said that they have plenty in the warehouse but for some reason it is not showing up on the web site. So, the web tech has to work on it. I thought great and I can’t just go order them at another store because I already bought the other half from them and I want them to match. Oh well, hopefully it will be fixed soon!
