Lauren- OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats a thousand times over!!!!!!!!

I have a question for you all about the trigger shot. I had mine on Sunday, 10/3. I decided that since I am a wacko, I wanted to watch the progression of the HcG shot leave and then watch my BFP show up (wishful thinking, I know  ). Here's the funky thing- there was no line at all. I'm only 6 days out from the trigger shot- is there something wrong with me that it dissipated so fast?
DH & I: 30 y.o.
male factor
Antag Protocol (Gonal F, Menopur, Ganarelix; trig on 10/3)
ER: Oct 5 (ICSI and AH)
10/6: 12 retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized
ET: Oct 8th transfer 2 grade A's, 2 made it to freeze

Hi Ladies...

Hope you dont mind me joining.... I am new to the whole IVF world.... Found this forum a few weeks ago to find support and there is plenty of it on here... :) I am 34yrs old and have been trying for 7yrs to get prego... Finally got the DH to go get tested with me to find out he had low sperm and we needed help... Started our Journey In June, had ER in Aug but got hyper stim and was put on hold till recently...They got to freeze 14 frosties but when we had our transfer this week they had to defrost 8 to get two for me, hoping the other 6 frosties do well if I need them :) Tuesday I had my ET so I am super excited and nervous all at the same time, this is the longest 2ww (oct 18th).... I got to read some of your stories and this seems like a great group for me to jump on with... :)

Lauren...Congratulations. I am so excited for you! I have been following all of you on this thread and your posts always make me smile.

AFM...I cycled with several of you during the summer thread. That was my first IVF and it ended in a BFN. I had my consultation with my RE at the end of September. He said everything was perfect until implantation which didn't happen of course. I had more blood tests done and just got the results of those. He is concerned about my folic acid levels so I will be starting a prescription prenatal vitamin (neevo - anyone familiar with that?). I guess anything I can do to increase my chances...right? He was also all ready for me to start BCP in October to cycle again in November, but I am not ready. This takes so much out of you. I have opted to wait a little while because school gets so busy and stressful during November (with the first report card and conferences along with many night commitments). Hopefully I will start BCP in December and cycle in January. Right now I keep getting all of the bills from that last failed cycle...how depressing to send away all this money for something I know did not work. Hopefully January will bring better results!

Thinking of all of you and wishing for lots of BFPs!
Rebecca

I swear I am like the bad luck magnet this year! I was at work last night. Me & my co-worker went into a patient's room to do a portable chest x-ray. He was pacing the room talking about cocaine being everywhere in the room. He is in his 50s and his mom was with him which I think is a little weird. Anyways, he was crazy as hell we couldn't get the x-ray so my co-worker backed the portable up out of the room. I was trying to get out of the room and he wouldn't let me by & he kept flipping the light on & off. I finally squeeze by him and I could feel him coming at me from behind. He took a swing at me and I ducked but he got me in the back. Full swing with his fist. He hit me so hard the nurses heard it at the desk and came running. WTF??
I was so pissed  I wanted to go back in there and have a one on one with him. I want to know why this man who is unstable was allowed to roam free around his room? If I hadn't been quick he would have got me in the back of the head. I guess I will end this story with OWW & WTF??

macfamily -- You are normal. The trigger shot could very well be completely gone after 6 days. No worries!

Krys - Great news!! Hopefully Tuesday's draw will keep on goin up, up, up!!

Andrea - thanks, we liked having a nice list like this on the Summer Group thread so we carried it on to the fall thread! Makes it nice and easy to see where everyone is at. And sorry, I had your ER date wrong on today's list so I corrected that to reflect tomorrow's date. Guess I wasn't quite awake yet when I did the list this morning. :)

Amanda - you really have had a string of bad luck lately! I'm so sorry you've had the crazy patient, the neuro findings with DH...I hope you can catch a break soon!

Rebeccajim - Glad you checked in with us! I don't blame you for taking some time until things quiet down. I believe amanda1979 is also shooting for January so I'm thinking a winter cycle group thread won't be too far away.

kynlee - Welcome and congrats on being PUPO after your FET!! Hopefully you can stay out of crazy town during your 2ww. Are you planning on POAS or holding out until your beta on the 18th?

Hi all

Lauren319 - EXCELLENT! Yaaaaaaaay! I'm so happy for you. Fantastic news. Can't wait to read the great stories as you're wee bean progresses. I'm sure you'll have us all in stitches (again).

Krys - I was really nervous about my 2nd beta as well. Fingers crossed for a great 3rd beta.

Kynlee, Rebecca and Andrea - welcome :)

Amanda - OMG! This surely must mean that some good luck in heading your way.

Klinger - great to hear your first night of stims went well. I wish that I'd given my DH the opportunity to inject me in my fresh cycle. I didn't even really think about...just turned into a bit of a robot and did it.

Lou - are you hanging in there?

Everybody else - I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.

AFM - not much! Waiting for my third beta on Wednesday and then a whole two week wait until the U/S. All going well, I'll then have to toddle off and find another Doc as the clinic only follows through to the 7 wk ultrasound. Am started to think about when to tell mine and DH's parents. Both sets of parents have no grandchildren and are unlikely to have them from both my own and DH's siblings. So we're it. DH's parents have already been through a miscarriage scenario with DH's sister. I'm reluctant to tell them too early but don't want to make them feel like they weren't 'in on it', if you know what I mean. I originally thought of telling them at 12 wks but have recently been thinking, as soon as we see a heartbeat. What do you guys reckon??

Tess-- I'm doing my best to hang in here. When I got a BFP I had very distinct implantation cramps on dpo 6-8. I'm 7 dpo right now and nothing. Nada. So I'm preparing myself. Did you have any symptoms like cramping in the 2ww? I'm gonna drive myself crazy! Your u/s will be here before you know it. We started telling family at 8 weeks and others at 10 weeks. I m/c at 12 weeks so next time I'm waiting until then. Tough call.
