450 Gonal-F Taken Once a Day - Lower Response

I've done a couple of IVF cycles using 20 Lupron AM and evening, 15 HCG evening, and 450 Gonal-F (split 225 in the AM and evening) and have usually made around 7 mature eggs. But this time around, I'm taking the 450 Gonal-F only in the evening and they are only seeing 2 eggs maturing with 4 others less than 10 - I've been stimming for 9 days. I'm wondering whether this cycle has been less effective because I've been taking all the Gonal-F at night instead of splitting it up between the morning and evening.

Have any of you had similar experiences?

i thought i was the only one this happened to..my previous cycles were successful and were done on 300 gonal and 300 menopur with split shots..unfortunately both were miscarriages..the third try was done with 150 menopur and 450 gonal all done at night in one single dose..i had a horrible response and canceled..my e2 was only at 296 at day 9, with only one egg in the race and 9 antrals just doing nothing..in all my other cycles i was well over 1000 by this time..my re says technically you should not respond any differently if the doses are split or not but i have never responded so badly before..i was always able to get 7 mature eggs on the first two cycles and on the first two i got twins on each cycle! the third cycle was by a different re who believes in higher doses of gonal but after looking at all my cycles put together we have decided to go back to split shot 300 gonal and 300 menopur which is my previous re's regimen..most re's don't believe in using that much menopur but for some reason i do respond to it..so we're going back to what has worked in the past..good luck and go with your instinct if you are doubting what your re is telling you! personally, for me i believe that i can't handle such a big dose all at one time..
