another post-D&C check up today (3 weeks post). I don't have my beta hCG number yet, but the u/s didn't look good. Even though my spotting stopped over the weekend -there is still stuff in my uterus. While last week they called it 'clotted blood that would pass on it's own", now they are calling it "retained tissue" (even though my immediate post-D&C u/s was clear).

They want me to stop my BCP and get a period. Hopefully that will clear out the leftover stuff in there. I was hoping to start an FET when I stopped the BCP but it's not looking likely. Hopefully though.... I go for an u/s at the end of the period to check that my uterus emptied. Hopefully they will let me start my FET then, instead of waiting anther month.

My 25th birthday is July 31, 2011....I would really really like to have a baby by then....

Hi Ladies, I think I just got caught up and everyone is looking good, which is great news!! I start my Lupron tomorrow and just one more week on BCP. I haven't read or watched videos to remind myself how to give the Lupron injections but that's me anymore, waiting till the last minute. I'm excited and scared to get started again. Just so much stress on one IVF cycle to work. :|

I hope every one else is a lot less stressed them me.

Hi girls
how is everyone doing? We are getting very close!!!

Bichon mom good luck with the Lupron shots :) You are right it seems like there is such a long preparation period and then it all comes down to 1 blood test. I think November will be a great month for all of us and yay for moving forward.

Leorira I can't believe you are having to go through another setback... it is just unfair! Please try to stay positive even though I know it is easier said than done and things just keep not working out. I am sure it will be ok after this AF and we will be doing this together. You will be preggo soon :)

Babydreamz I am so sorry that your Urologist was such a jerk. I agree with you...he should have called when he got the results.
I was told by an RE at one of the clinics we went to BEFORE we started going to our wonderful RE now and after spending 5 minutes with me and not even doing my ultrasound himself he proceeded to tell me that I supposedly had "ovaries of a forty year old woman" now, no offense to those who are forty and over and when I am 40 I will be fine with that but he said this to me and I am 28!!!! and then when I started to cry after he said my periods would stop in a year or two he says " oh stop pouting" Grrrr  I later found out it wasn't true at all and that he made a mistake but no one cared that I spent a few days crying my eyes out that I would never have a child of my own again. I wish they could understand what their mistakes do to us.

Dodo good luck with this cycle :) I am in the same place. Had trial transfer and salt water ultrasound yesterday and now we are ready to start.

Kerenthescorpio how are you?

Jenmink we are also transferring 3 frosties that week!!! Can't wait for our bfp's

SDTrying I am so excited we are almost there!! So what kind of a doctor are you?

AFM
Had the salt water ultrasound and the trial transfer and it looks good! (Thank God :D ) My doctor really suggested trying a natural cycle FET and after much deliberation DH and I decided to go with a natural cycle FET. All it really means is that since I ovulate on my own every month like clockwork and my lining is great I will not do lupron or estrogen replacement. (Also I do not do well with Lupron- it literally shuts me down completely) So I am ovulating now> I have to wait till my Day 3 and do a baseline and then I will be monitored without meds until ovulation. I will still do a trigger because I have to know the exact date of ovulation, then antibiotic and steroid and then we will transfer the 3 embies ( I can do 3 because of my bionic cervix...lol but hoping for 2 or at least 1) on day 6 or 7 after ovulation and do either PIO or crinone to help progesterone.
I am so excited but a bit nervous too. I really need this to work. DH and I are so emotionally drained and with all of our family and friends beign pregnant or having babies we have literally become estranged and I just feel that we need this for our mental well being. I hope and pray that we get a BFP and it sticks!!!!

Hello everyone-
This seems like a very busy post already so I was trying to read over everything. Is there any way someone could post a list with everyone and their stage in the cycle?

As for me- After a 2nd failed IVF we had all the tests done, and I found out I was homozygous for MTHFR. The NP wanted to make sure we addressed everything this cycle so I am on extended BCP, and will start Lupron on 10/11. I stop the BCP on 10/18 and then start the estrogen pill and IM shot regimen with the Lupron. My next MD appointment isnt until 11/4 and we have a tentative transfer date of 11/8. Im anxious to start the Lupron, but a little nervous about the additions of Estrogen IM shots and Lovenox after the transfer. If we get a BFP -2 shots a day for the next few months ... I am also trying accupunture this cycle, which I was told increases the chance of pregnancy with IVF. We will see.

Hope November ends up being a great month for all of us.

Hi everyone - I haven't posted in a little while. I started my Lupron shots on the 6th, am scheduled for a baseline u/s and bloodwork on 10/21 and start stimms on 10/23. I have been extremely moody and have had a crazy appetite! I want a milkshake so bad right now I can hardly stand it! Can't wait to be done with the BCPs in a few days - hopefully that will ease the bloating and mood swings a little. I still have to go back and catch up on everyone's posts but wanted to say Hi and I am wishing everyone the best. We are getting closer!!

seems like everyone is moving ahead!

I stopped my BCP on Tuesday, and started to bleed today. A bit early (and too light) to be my period. I passed (TMI) some HUGE clots, which I'm hoping was the 'remaining' tissue from my D&C.

If (big big *if*) my uterus is empty and my hCG gets to zero, we can do the FET this month. If not, we have to wait another month. Hopefully I'll get a really heavy period over the weekend, go for u/s & b/w on Sunday and get the all clear.

DH says not to get my hopes up too high.... but what else can I do?

I recently realized that we are coming up on the 2 year anniversary of our diagnosis. Yes. That means that for almost two years, I have lived, breathed and thought about IVF everyday. EVERYDAY! People really don't understand what that means.

We lost our twins almost a year ago. They were born (and died) on a Saturday morning. I was released from the hospital on Sunday morning. As soon as I got home, the first thing I did was call my IVF clinic for an appt to meet with a doctor. Their birthday (angel day) is coming up at the end of December, and with 3 more cycles, I'm not even pregnant for that day.... Hopefully I will be!

Hi all,

I'm just popping in to say that my saline ultrasound was a three ring circus!! (thank goodness at least the trial transfer went okay!) I was literally poked and prodded for close to an hour. Turns out I have a "long vagina" which made things tricky I think that doctors should avoid telling women that there is anything usual about their genitals- I think there should be a common sense 101 in medical school :) ...My RE is very nice but young, and I'm a little nervous that she might be too inexperienced.

BTW- annashope, sounds like we have a lot in common with our experience with infertility. And to answer your question about what kind of field I'm in. I practice 2 days/week in psychiatry and 3 days/week in general medicine (adults only for both).

Sorry gang, I'm super sleepy and will have to touch base later!

Hi ladies. So I had my saline sonogram this past Wednesday. All looked great and I'm cleared to start Lupron once I've ovulated and my sonogram confirms it. So probably next weekend I'll start Lupron. It looks like my retrieval will be the first week of November. Woo whoo! But I don't have my official dates of my procedures yet. Need to start Lupron to know that for sure! I will then put them on the calendar. I just know this is going to be great month for us all! So excited to be cycling with you ladies!

well, I didn't get my period - only light spotting.

My clinic told me to come in today for u/s and b/w. I don't have the b/w results yet, but the u/s did NOT look good. There is still retained tissue in my uterus. I'm waiting for the doctor to call me to tell me whether he thinks it's best to continue to wait, or 'intervene'...

Either way, I'll be lucky to have my transfer in November.... but maybe December? :(

Leoria- I'm sorry to hear about the residual tissue and possible delay. I had a D&E last month bc after two periods post-baby loss I still had tissue in my uterus. I was having surgery in that "area" anyway so it was not a big deal to do. Know that your time WILL come! Hang in there!

Leoria- So Sorry to hear that things may be more delayed than originally expected. The MD kept pushing back dates for my transfer this time so I know how frustrating it can be. I just kept telling myself that the timing had to be perfect in order for things to work out the way they should. I was still pissed to think that I had over a month of waiting though. Just hang in there and try to keep your head up.

AFM- Start lupron today. I dont think ive ever been this excited to stab myself with a needle. Just glad to get things started for this cycle. Still a long wait before tentative transfer, but progress I guess.
