karenthescorpio - Karen, your ticker about made me cry. I am really so sorry for what you went through, I cannot even imagine. I had an ectopic and it was terrible so I feel for you and know what you went through was so much bigger. All I can say is that you now have two little angels in heaven and hopefully they will come back to you in the form of your new BFP. My prayers are with you. You are such a strong woman. Huge hugs.

So good news from the Dr. My Estrogen level is 103, he said that is right where it should be! YEA!!!!!! We are right on track and are going to continue on the same drugs. I have an appointment for more labs on Wed, hopefully the good news will continue. Thanks for all of the support! You ladies are amazing! Good luck and lots of baby dust to everyone!

hey girls! quick post as we just got back from the re & i'm in the middle of making dinner. so i guess i have mixed feelings...re wasn't very optimistic about dh's sperm...i mean he was i guess more realistic, saying that my eggs aren't the issue & if we're not going to go w/ donor sperm, he's just not sure. anyways, he did change up my protocol, just to change some things up i guess....so instead of an antagonist protocol w/ the follistim & ganirelix, i'll be doing the other one (agonits?) w/ lupron & then follistim. i'm kind of scared as i heard it being referred to as the b*tch juice, lol! i warned dh. so if af is due around the 29th, he's going to have me start the lupron on the 22nd. i guess you come in 1 week before af is due & they check the progesterone level & then based on that, have you start the lupron. so i'm assuming i'll be on it for much longer than follistim. w/ follistim, i took it for about 12 days. so w/ lupron, i'll be on it for like, 19 days? does that sound right? in the meantime, dh has an appointment scheduled w/ the urologist who did his tesa, which we won't be doing this time since it didn't help at all. but it's not until december 2nd...wth! it's the earliest they could get us in. we may have dh go on clomid to see if that helps. obviously it won't affect this upcoming cycle, but if this doesn't work, we have another plan.

Lou- The 2ww is killing me, but I am staying busy so I dont think to much I believe they were all 3 day, the better ones didnt make the defrosting process, but the 2 they transferred they said were good (they said its not always the better ones that make a perfect baby, so it keeps me hoping) this is so new to me that some of the things they say confuse the hell out of me... I note everything so when I see with the Dr I can ask more questions... I don't know if they do vitrification, but something I will have to ask... It seems I am learning so much more from these forums then the Dr... It seems you are having alot of the preggo signs.. How many did you transfer?

Just to encourage you, the Lupron hasn't affected me at all. I've had zero side effects from it. So it doesn't cause everyone to be moody etc....

I'm so new to all of this but I can tell you that I started Lupron on 9/28 and was on 10 units every day. Once I started my stims on 10/9 my Lupron went down to 5 units a day but I am still on the Lupron.

Moorebaby-- Wanted to let you know I was also on the lupron and Follistim and it wasnt that bad... I didnt get moody at all I got headaches but they passed and a couple emotional days but that could have been from the process itself... Good luck

AFM: Waiting on AF...late of course...urgh... only because it knows we need it to start this show on the road...AF dance if anyone has it in them? I certainly have cramps so I know it is around the corner....wrist still sore, but on the mend for sure. Go to doc on Wed to get this nutty bandage removed. I was hoping to be stimming by now, but soon...patience is....virtue? incredibly difficult?

AFM-Wentt for my baseline today...RE said I had SIXTEEN!!! thats the most I EVER had. He said the plan is to take my estrogen tablets twice a day. Wait for AF to come within the next week or so...he says the estrogen acts as a priming to help those follies to be able to grow?? IDK. So he says I should still have those 16 when I go back over the next week to 10 ten days and the start my STIMS!!!!! Cant believe Im doing this again....I really would love to get more than 2 eggs this time so that our chances of getting to a day 5 transfer increase!


How much bedrest have you ladies done post ET?? trying to plan my schedule.

ANYONE watch Guiliana & Bill its on the style network? Ive heard of them. Never really watched it bc I am super busy and never see too much tv but there was an episode on today about there struggles and there IVF cycle. It took place in Chicago. Just wondering...I heard her BFP ended in a miscarriage...so sad.

Lauren- I had 7 eggs, 6 fertilized w/ ICSI, 5 made it to PGD, 1 was normal, but 2 were normal with a "contaminated" label due to DNA in the sample's surrounding liquid, 1 normal implanted on Day 5, 1 contaminated frozen on Day 6.

Lauren319 - looking forward to hearing that first lovely beta number. I usually walk for about an hour with the dog but will be doing about two hour walks as training for the Oxfam walk that I hope I don't end up doing. Not because I don't want to do it but because I hope that I'll still be preggas and not able to do it. My RE's advice re exercise is to not start doing triathlons if you don't usually do them! I'm sure you'll be fine on long walks. It's very good for your digestive system I.e. Helps prevent constipation. Probably best to check with your doc though. We seem to have a very relaxed approach to IVF in NZ. My RE would laugh if I asked about bed rest after ET. He's very much of the opinion that you should carry on as normal. It's amazing how many differing opinions are out there. It can be quite baffling. I can absolutely understand why some ladies and REs take the conservative approach. What ever you're comfortable with is the right thing to do. If you don't feel right...don't do it.

Lou - you are sounding suspiciously pregnant! I also had a terrible headache with vomiting (migraine) a few days after my ET. The same thing happened on my first cycle too. I usually get a migraine every one to two weeks but it was unusual to get them at the same time after ET. I haven't had any since. Long may they stay away.

Andrea - 8 eggs is great. Have you got any fertility reports yet?

Ryann - yay for Sox. I had forgotten what hard work puppies are so it was a bit of a shock when we first got our wee pug puppy. She was a great all night sleeper but crap to toilet train (excuse the pun). She's the besets ever now though

Lauren - 16 is a great number. Fingers crossed for you for lots of lovely transplantable embies.

Margi - waiting, waiting, waiting...hang in there.
