Stephanie - Oh just a few more days is right. Not only do you have the aches & pains of pregnancy, you have the in-laws who are a pain also. Stick in there! Thanks for the advice for the pictures!

Babyluv - I think you asked about my NST and I'm scheduled for 10/28 & I'm taking my 3 hour glucose test now! Yuk!

Claudia - Sorry that you weren't feeling well this weekend. Yeah we probably should have had someone put the furniture together also but he insisted that he wanted to do it himself! Yeah right, after I bugged the crap out of him.

AFM - My OB appoint went well today. But, unfortunately I'm sitting here taking my 3 hr glucose @ 2pm & I haven't had any food today so I'm pretty irritable right now! I will chat with you ladies later.

Hey ladies,

Steph oh your inlaws sound like a pain in the a$$!!!! You have the patience of a saint i think i would have lost it ages ago! So 5 more days of them hopefully the twins decide to come soon so they can just visit you in hospital. Ha i was just telling jason you lost your mucous plug and he looked at me like i had 10 heads and asked what it was i explained i think he is grossed out now!!!

Angela ughh 3 hr glucose test sounds awful but at least they ck your levels nobody has even mentioned it to me nor do i get weighed. Thankfully we get labour room on our own (at least i am presuming we do!!!) and share the following recovery days in a ward but you do have some sort of privacy with curtains.

Claud good luck tomorrow with your doc. appt, mine is also tomorrow fingers crossed she finds the heartbeat straight awa not like the OB appt!!

babyluv my your BH sound long and tough!! mine like claud last about 20-30 secs not a bit sore but def. more frequently now maybe about 20 a day.

Katie oh i thought you might have gotten some relief on the acid reflux now Savannah has dropped, how are you feeling??? Any signs labour might be coming soon??

Riley congrats on your little girl, oh i so want your labour sounds perfect

Hazel so life is busy with little George, cant wait to experience it so many people are saying to me lately that my life will never be the same again, my time wont be my own well doh... i have waited 8 yrs for sleepless nights, 24 hr care of a precious baby so bring it on!!! I bought mostly 0 - 3 mth cloths as the newborn really look tiny she surely cant be that small????

AFM no news all quiet, gp appt tomorrow then OB in 2 wks which will bring me up to 37 wks then on countdown  Also will be decorating house soon for Halloween...one of my favourite times of the year....have some outfits for my doggies the westie has a warlock one and the king charles has a fairy outfit

gi xx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

PA - Hope that your shower went well and you got lots of useful and cute gifts! When will you hear if you're officially on maternity leave? As for your friend, WTH? This may be your only shower and she's worried about making a 10am deadline? HUH? I mean especially after you TTC for so long. Hopefully she made it and all is well, cause I'd be irritated if she didnt

Natasha - hang in there, nursing school is difficult but well worth it after you are done.

Angela - Good luck at your GTT today, I hope you dont end up feeling too ill. Yay for your DH getting the crib together - NO yay for having to nag him to do it though. I love your letters, I was only able to see 1 pic, did you post more than that? I also upload to photobucket, its just easier and you can still do it that way from a cell phone camera - plus when she's born - instead of having to send pics to all your friends & family you can just give them your photobucket website address, you get your own webpage & address and its free - pretty neat I think.

Babyluv - UGH, more discomforts? Just what we all need, right? I havent had terrible palm itching, but had it on my belly, and ankles, or at this point, I guess I mean cankles- ugh. So I see you're on the same sleep pattern as me, its like catnapping all night, then you wake up tired anyway, fun, yes? Aw, I'll bet those pumpkin patch pics came out adorable! You're moving right along, just keep trying to take it easy please.

Steph - OK, you can get through this... tomorrow is your birthday yay, Wed will be Ethan & Angelina's birthday, and then your in in laws will leave! And you can have your babies and husband in peace! Big YAY for that! How are you feeling twin mama? Just two days left and its really more like 1 1/2 - OMG! How excited are you?? I know that the whole dirty diapers in the kitchen trash would just drive me bugshit crazy, but thankfully they'll be leaving soon! Now what happened? How could your MIL complain that Andrew wasnt cleaning right when it sure doesnt sound like she herself is up for any housekeeping awards? I mean to not use proper hygienne and handwashing? with kids around? UGH they must get sick all the time. And ummm, newsflash in my world the fact that Andrew was willing to mop the floors wins major bonus points! Who cares how he did it? As long as it got done, right? Just get through this visit and you shopuld be safe for years! 8) I'll keep sending you patience dust! Lots of it! Ooh honey a day on the lake sounds nice, but this pregnant? That seems like it would be too much ( you see I take how I'm feeling and try to multiply it to figure out how you're feeling) and umm, ow? I cant believe that you can in & out of the tub by yourself, I've gotten afraid to shower if I'm home alone. I can get in just fine, but getting out theres nothing to hold onto. Hee hee, I was thinking the same thing last night, I was super tender at like 9pm and I said to Chris, "well theres no way a birthday of 10-10-10 is happening now"
Poor guy thinks every time I say ow that we're on our way - I tell him dont pay attention since I say ow with almost every step lately - ugh. I cant wait to hear how your birthday goes tomorrow. And then it will be WED!!!!!!! much love mama - xoxoxoxo

Claudia - Good luck at your OB appt tom. Ack! "stealing your beauty"? Where do people come up with these sayings? Oh, please you look just gorgeous in all the pics you've posted! how are you feeling mama? And speaking of old wive's tales - they better not come true because if thats the case with all this heartburn, then poor Savannah will come out looking like a cavewoman! How lovely to have a porfessional photographer take all sorts of pics - you'll be able to put togather a great baby book for Flick! - xoxo

Gi - Good luck with your appt tomorrow! Hope they find the HB right away and dont freak you out this time. My OBs always seem to move it around wuite a bit before finding it too - jeez, dont they understand that we crazy IVF women get nervous fast? Yay for being 35 weeks already! Where did the time go? No, signs of labor yet, but I keep looking for them.. Oooh I love that you dress your pups up for Halloween, and they let you? Gracie wont even agree to a Santa hat at Christmas time, spoiled beast that she is. A fairy and a warlock? Aw, that sounds like fun, I'll bet they look adorable!! How are you feeling mama ? Is Jason getting nervous yet? - xoxo

AFM - I think Savannah has dropped even more because each step is kind of owie! and if I thought I was walking slow last week? Well thats nothing compared to how very slooow I go now! And in the mirror it looks like my belly is lower than it was last week too. I have an OB appt tom ( with the female OB who hurt me the last time - sigh) so i'm eager to hear how much I'm dilated now, I think maybe a bit more? Who can tell? All I know is that certain times of the day it feels like those knife like pains are there for every step. Oh, and I sure do feel for you Steph, its gotten really difficult to turn over in bed without hurting myself now, hey theres some fun, huh? I'm getting very nervous now, yep, Gi, I may be in denial right along with you - lol. I had this cleaning / organizing frenzy this weekend and had poor Chris rearrange the whole nursery, he did it without complaining but I think he's just humoring me at this point, anyway I'm glad because its more functional now, and looks a bit bigger, so yippee for that! I keep having this new fear of being alone when labor starts, and not realizing that I'm in labor. Its sort of freaking me out that I havent had not even one BH, if they are supposed to be your body practicing for labor, why doesnt mine want to practice? I asked the OB last week about labor and he said "oh, trust me, you'll know" ummm, I sure do hope so cause the idea of this scares me to death! It it so so surreal to me to think that there will be a baby in this house any day now - eeek! I keep telling Chris that we'll take her home and look at each other like "what do we do now"? lol. He said he'll double check with the hospital that "are you sure theres no instruction manual that came with her"? hahaha. But that sure would be helpful, wouldnt it? much love to you all - xoxoxo

Angela- Oh I'm so sorry you are sitting through that LONG glucose test. I hope you don't feel too sick later.

Claudia- Yes home cooked meals are so much better for us than eating out all the time. Plus he got to have a bottle of red wine...while I drooled. :( Taking away your beauty? I have heard something like that but it was related to having a boy. Anyhow...I don't really believe any of those old wives tales anyhow and I think you are absolutely adorable. You look radiant so just ignore what she said. You know we all get that wonderful unsolicited advice while pregnant anyhow. Brooklyn will be fun! What a great gift. Is it just the shoot or is she including pictures? I can't wait to see them!

Katie- The shower is Oct 23rd so I will have to let you know if she shows. I probably won't hold my breath. Oh and speaking of breath...you were talking about mosquito bites one time and how bad they were? Hopefully they have been killed off by now but if not...I read an interesting factoid in What to Expect and thought of you. Because pregnant women breath more and take in more oxygen we exhale more CO2 which is what attracts mosquitoes. SO...really we all just book like a buffet to them! EEEKKK! Anyhow, when I read that I thought of you. 8)

Babyluv- Itchy palms do not sound like fun. I understand peeing all night though. I wish I could just sleep on the toilet. LOL I'm sure it would be very tiring to go to Disney while pregnant. I think it is tiring when NOT pregnant. It is cute to watch the amazement on kids faces when they go there. I can't wait to go...actually I can't wait for Sea World. That's my real favorite!

Stephanie- Poor Andrew getting diapers thrown at him. There are going to be a LOT more diapers soon though! I'm sure he won't mind when he knows it's his own children he's cleaning up after! I think it would make it different.
The girl with the BF issues...well she canceled on my for shopping Saturday. She can't seem to figure out how to buy balloons for the shower. So now we are supposedly going on Wednesday. We shall see.
And now you have to take over for another shower???? Oh LORD girl! I hope her roomie pulls through. You have way more energy than I do! I hope your tummy is not numb soon!

AFM- nothing new today. DH went on a glider flight. I got him that as a certificate for our first anniversary (2years ago) for our paper anniversary. He finally used it. He loved it! He's always wanted to go on a glider flight. It was a beautiful day for it. Now over to BUyBuy Baby to add our glider to our registry. Have a wonderful night ladies.

Katie - Wow, vagina knife with every step?? Oh wow, I hope for your sake you ARE dilated more!! I'm betting the 1cm means a lot more for you than me since you are walking so much more. So...I'll let YOU be the one to dilate, and I'll hang out a little more :D And don't worry about the BH. A lot of women never have them, some not until the very, bitter end, so I'm sure it's not an indication of anything. You've mostly likely been having them your whole pregnancy, just never felt them. Can't wait to hear what your OB says tomorrow! Oh, and could you change my EDD to November 11 since that's my c section date?

Angela - Hope you made it through the test ok. I can't believe you have to wait until 2 to take it!!! I would be beyond irritable.

Claudia - Hope you feel better! Now that Fall is actually coming a bit to Orlando, my allergies are acting up. I haven't been sick this entire pregnancy and I'm REALLY hoping I can stick it out a little longer. Usually my allergies cause me to get a sore throat and just over all sickness for a week when the season changes (which happens twice a year in Florida) and I can feel it a little already.

PA - The glider sounds so fun! A family friend was in the Air Force for years and used to fly gliders. I always thought that would be cool. SeaWorld IS a blast! We had passes there for a year, but now back to Disney passes. I love all of the options we have around here. We'll probably do Universal again in a couple of years.

Gi - Oh my goodness, two more weeks until full term for you!!! SO FUN!!! The costumes sound super cute. Scarlett is dressing up as a 1920's golfer (Alex's outfit from when he was two...looks soooooo cute on her), and Alex will be an astronaut. I'm hoping the babies stay in so I can see them dressed up! Halloween is 36 weeks for me, so if I am still pregnant I thought it would be hysterical to dress up in a mini skirt, tank top, flip flops and super messy hair for the "pregnant trailer trash" look. Nothing too revealing, but enough to be funny.

AFM - So normally my BH are painless and last about 60 seconds...it's just when I get up at night to pee that they seem to go on for five minutes. Not sure why. That's why I wonder if they are real contractions, since I feel them in my back. They aren't consistent, but sure do hurt when I get up, walk, sit down, and get back in bed. Once I am settled they subside and I can generally fall back asleep. But yea, getting more uncomfortable. Ah well. Like Katie, I have an OB appt tomorrow so I guess we'll see if I've progressed any further. I'm definitely hoping for NOT at this point! My NST is first this time, so hopefully the morning goes smoothly and I can just come home and chill. Thursday I have a hair appt and I really hope I don't have to miss it! I got a pedicure today which was so badly needed. As long as everything checks out tomorrow, my mom is leaving Wednesday morning and coming back Sunday afternoon. I really want her to have one last good break before the babies come, but she will not leave if the doctor has any concerns. So for all of our sakes, I'm hoping everything is ok! Friday is my u/s so it's going to be a busy week.

Gi – Yeah, for hitting 35 weeks! You should be so very excited!!! Once, I hit that and weeks later, I will feel so much better…

Katie – I only posted 1 pic to make sure that you guys were able to see it. Can you direct me to that web site that you were referring to? I am not familiar with it at all. So, you think she has dropped a little more … it shouldn’t be that much longer for you! Yes, I am feeling the same thing about the vagina knife, especially when I get up from lying down and try to walk to the bathroom … oh so painful!

Claudia – Ok, your baby is not taking away your beauty. You look very beautiful pregnant. I think some people just don’t know what to say to us, so some very awkward conversations begin and then you start thinking “what are they talking about”?

PA_FA – I am glad that your DH’s homecoming went well! Yes, that was 3 hours of pure torture!

Babyluv – Thanks, I did make it through barely! I can’t believe they make pregnant women go through this torture. Physicians should just order postprandial levels after eating and forget the 3 hour test.

I have those long contractions also and they are definitely uncomfortable. I hope that your appointment goes well tomorrow. Yeah for the pedicure … I had one last week and it was heaven. I have to have them now because I can’t reach my toes. So hopefully, I can squeeze another one in around 34 or 35 weeks before I have Gabriella.

Stephanie – The boat ride sounds fun but I don’t think I could have lasted that long being so uncomfortable. You are such a trooper! You guys will enjoy your babies so much when they arrive.

AFM – I have to tell you ladies that I came very close to passing out at the lab. I was so nauseous and I didn’t get any food until around 4:30pm. Thank god my DH was there because I literally had to lie on his shoulder and he is strong enough to hold me up … thank god.

I know we were talking about IVF and television and I was watching t.v. tonight and watched Giulianna and Bill on the Style Channel. They went through IVF and now she is pregnant but she might have some problems. Of course I didn’t watch the next episode, so I will have to catch it later.

Angela - I am glad you made it through your 3 hour test. That must have been awful to wait that long for food! Some of the things we do is just torture. Lets just hope that the tst comes back good and that whole thing is over with. As for the Bill and Gill thing, I was watching E channel and she talked to the camera to the audience and further explained their visit on The View where they talk about losing the baby. So sad. I think the doctors told hr originally that she needed to gain weight so she gained 5lbs, but not sure if that is the only issu with their infertility.

Babyluv - Not sure which contractions are making changes for you, but some of them obviously are since you are dialated. lol Even the light ones can do something. I remember being "in labor" and not even noticing the contractions, they just weren't painful yet. The long 5 minute ones, could be irritability, but yet could be making changes as well. My doc said there is just no telling what will make cervical changes or not. That's why thy gnerally tell you if you feel them so often for an hour or more, go to the hospital, so they can check. Me... my bionic cervix just doesn't want to do shit. lol I would think it would be weaker after 3 pgs and 11 years, but nope... stronger than it was when I was 20! Go figure!

Pa - lol I don't think Andrew will mind the diapers after the babies are born, it's just the poopy ones being thrown at him for no good reason. I think it is rude, they could at least ask him to throw it away, instead they chuck the darn thing at him. I know if it were done to me by anyone, I would chuck it right back and tell them to take care of their own kid's poo. I wouldn't even throw a dirty diaper at him or anyone. Could you imagine? UGH! Anayway, I hope your friend pulls through. What's so hard about ballons? Any party store would have them. Yes another shower, but I feel bad for her so I have to help. She has been really screwed over with it so far. First, everyone has come together to pitch in for a big gthe rooift for everyone's shower. For mine it was a stroller, for my one friend it was an expensive bedding set, and for this one it was a bedding set, but no one wantd to pitch in. Just me and her roommate while everyone else said no and wanted to fight about it. I simply told them to forget it, I will figure out something because it isn't fair that me and the other girl get people pitching in for a big gift and this friend get nothing. So her roommate found two other people and we get that settled, just to then find out the host quit with a 20 person guest list. I am going to help the best I can, mostly it will be cooking a few things and the roommate will help too. I won't be doing too much too soon after the twins. :)

Katie - Thanks for the birthday wishes. :) Everyone keps saying how great it is that I will have babies a day after my birthday, but how cool it would be to have them on my birthday. I keep saying... nahhh not really just because they already share a birthday, why would I want them to share with me too. lol Though it would be a nice birthday present, they will spend the rest of their lives sharing everything. As for celebrating mine... I don't see a reason to, I am more focused on them. I can't believe I am finally almost done! I can't wait to start healing. I know the road ahead is going to b blissful yet hard. Will just have to take it one day at a time. Do you have a plan if you are alone when something happens? Do you have anyone who can drive you to the hospital or is it a 911 phone call? How fast can Chris get to you? Just know that if your water breaks, unless there is blood, you still have time unless you start having really hard fast contractions. I don't want you to worry yourself if something happens when he isn't there! You know me, I am a planner so I want to wear off on you a bit and make sure you have a plan! lol Now that the nursery is different, gonna take any pics? :) hehe So time to find out if you are dialted more or thinned out more. I can't wait to hear the news!

Gi - That's exactly how I look at it, less than two days and I am back in the hospital and they will be gone before I get out. So I only have to put up with this for a little longer. It isn't too awful, it's more of a big annoyance, you know? It's like a group of people just gripping onto your every pet peeve. lol How thy frustrate Andrew isn't fun to watch either. Poor Jason hearing about the mucous plug. lol I suppose he needs to know though incase it happens to you. Now you can tell him, that thing I told you that Steph lost. LOL Maybe you will only have 5 heads instead of 10 if that happens. I love your idea for the fur babies for halloween. I have a little pink tutu outfit for mine. I had it last year and forgot to put it on her so this year I have to make up for it. :)

Claudia - My goodness, what is it with people telling you it's a girl and picking on your butt and beauty?? I don't get it? One, it's rude, even to say it in a joking mannor and two, I see your pictures and you are gorgeous! Hell, if those same people saw my before and after I suppose they would tell me I am having an Army of girls! lol I am glad you have a nice photo op as a present! I keep wanting to take pics of my over grown belly so we have the biggest pics possible. We were suppose to do that today, but maybe we can squeeze in a few shots?

AFM - Nothing new baby wise. We went to the mall today. We needed baby books still and had the idea to see if they had wheelchairs to rent. Sure enough they did and it was free, Andrew just had to leave his ID as collateral. lol So I was wheeled around and stared at, but nothing new. One person even looked at me and asked if I was ok. lol Like I was going into labor right then and their and should she call 911. Also got a under the breath, Never seen anyone that big before. I didn't catch it but Andrew did, so he looked at them and simply said, Twins. I feel almost freakish.

Re: Winter Cycle Friends 2009/2010 - Everyone Welcome!

Post by hjw »

Another brief message being typed one fingered while George sleeps on me, so apologies that I don't have time to do personals for everyone.

Steoh - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know you won't be out partying tonight, but I hope you have a nice day and manage to get some rest because tomorrow's going to be a big day! I can't believe you have made it this far - you have done brilliantly! And to think we were concerned in case Ethan and Angelina decided to try and race George to the finish line - can you believe we were talking about that about six weeks ago! I'm going to be stalking the boards as much as the baby will allow tomorrow waiting to hear the news... Good luck! P.s. I also had the numb stomach thing, which I agree feels a bit freaky. For me it was a two or three inch area of stomach around my belly button and I couldn't bear DH to touch it because the sensation was so dull and strange. I just assumed, like you were told, that it was where the stomach had stretched to a point where the nerve endings were either too far apart or just doing their job anymore. Good news is that it goes back to normal pretty much straight away afterwards, unlike other things, lol!!!

Katie - wow, you are almost in single figure countdown mode for the number of days to go! Hope your appointment goes well today - did they ever give you an u/s and weight estimate for Savannah? Oh, and I agree with your OB, you will definitely know when the contractions start, the sensation is very different from anything you will have felt before. Don't worry about not feeling any BH - I only felt them when I did physical stuff like play golf and walk the dogs up hills. Some women don't feel them at all, particularly for first babies.

Gi - we just bought newborn sleepsuits and vests to start with, which were for babies up to 10lbs. George is still in them, but his feet are reaching the ends, and I think it's only going to be another week or two before he needs to move up a size into the 0-3 months. He was already 21 inches long at birth and was 9lb 12oz and 22 1/2 inches long as at last Thursday, so I guess that's not a surprise! Have they given you a birth weight estimate for Kayla?

Babyluv - good luck for your OB appointment today!

Stephanie – I want to wish you a very happy birthday once again! I am so excited for you for tomorrow!! Oh, so they did lose the baby … what a shame! When she did the interview did she say if they went on to get pregnant with another IVF transfer?

I love it … you and Andrew are so creative! I am glad that you were able to get the wheel chair. Sorry that you have to hear insensitive comments like that from other people about your size. I am just so proud of you so don’t worry about it.

Tammy – It is good to hear from you. I hope you are doing ok.

Hazel – You are getting very good at the one fingered typing … lol. We understand that you are busy but I can’t wait to hear how everything is going with George!

Franca – How are you feeling? Anything new with you and your baby girl?

AFM – Well, ladies I knew when I woke up today that I wouldn’t make it through the day because I was so very nauseated from that nasty glucose drink yesterday. But, I decided to try to go to work anyway because maybe the nice weather would do me some good. Uh, no I made it through half of the day and I couldn’t take the nausea anymore so I had to go home. I did make it to the drug store and purchased a breast pump, some more bottles to fit the bottle warmer I already purchased, but I still need to find a cushion for the changing table. But, I couldn’t see myself going to yet another store. I hope everyone else has a better day than I am. I will try to post more pics this weekend using that new website that Katie and Stephanie were talking about.

Hi ladiess. Just wanted to pop in and say Hi. I'm back on the boards and will be starting my next fresh cycle in a week (Lupron). I really can't believe it, but feel so thankful I can try again! I wanted to send the biggest hugs in the world out to those ladies that I cycled with...I know you guys are expecting your litle bundles of joy any day. It's been a hard and long road...and the day you guys always dreamed of is almost here (and has arrived for some of you already!). I'm so proud of each and every one of you! Enjoy your babies! Know that I am planning on being pregnant next month (what a way to ring in the big 4-0) and meeting up with you ladies with our babies in about 9 months!!!!!!!!!

Steph- Happy Birthday! Yeah, the big day is tomorrow! woo whoo! What a wonderful gift! I'm so proud of you, twin mama, for cookin' those babies as long as you could! Big congrats!

Katie- I think of you often and happy to hear little Miss Savanah will be arriving any day now! What a blessing. I still remember all of your posts from the past and the struggle to get to this point. My heart is full of joy for you. It really is. I told my DH last night that you were close to giving birth! He remembered when I told him about your incredible ED miracle! xoxo

Riley- congrats on your little girl! I love her name! (I named one of my twins Reagan!) I'm sure you are enjoying all of the amazing mommie moments! Sending you a big hug!

Hazel- congrats on the arrival of your son!!!! Can you believe he's here? I can imagine some days must seem surreal!

Babyluv- how you doing twin mama? When is the big day for you? I hope you are doing well and feeling good. I know how hard a twin pregnancy is! xoxoxo

Emerald- how is your little girl doing? I include her in my prayers! xo

Big hug to everyone else! Keep cookin'!
xo
