Steph -How are you doing on your last day pregnant? I hope that you all did something for your birthday, even though you're most likely super uncomfy.
I cant believe your babies wil be here tomorrow!!! I mean how flipping exciting is that??!! I wonder if Andrew is feeling nervous now? its like we have this big long wait for the big day and you think it will never arrive - and then its here  OMG, I'm so excited for you guys! You should be getting the award for patience and endurance after all this time - but you did it! And after tom, all that discomfort and pain will be come a distant memory. You're so sweet to help out with your friend's shower, sorry that its turned into a cluster though. :? I just hope that you have a textbook delivery and heal up quickly - since ahem, umm, I pretty much know for a fact that you wont be taking it as easy as you should - yes, that was a big fat hint to go easy twin mama. Ugh, I didnt realize you meant that his family was literally tossing dirty diapers at him - grrr! Bless his patience cause I would have hurled it right back at them! Thats not funny. Ok, after tomorrow, you wont have barely a minute to give these people a thought - cause its all about the babies! Now a plan for me? Well, luckily enough the hospital is like 15-20 minutes away, so just in case Chris is in NYC when I go into labor, I figure its safer to go early while I can still drive myself, I'd rather be there early, then at the last minute - cause if he's trying to get back up here from NYC thats like 1- 1.5 hrs - and then I'll get all freaked out, but I'vwe dealt with alot of scary things in my life, so I'll be fine, dont you worry about me. Thanks for the info about if my water breaks first (ok, that will freak me out) I'm just hoping that what both OBs have told me so far "there is NO chance that you will confuse real labor with crampiness" "you'll know it" Yes I will take new nursery pics, I just should have done it early in the day when the light is bright in there. Please try to not stress too much, millions of women have c sections every single day - I dont like the idea myself, but know that you are in good hands. Wishing you all kinds of calming thoughts and I cant wait to hear all about your babies! Jeez - I'm so eager that you'd think it was me going tom  much love to you my friend - xoxoxoxoxo

PA - Oh, I'm sorry honey, i thought your shower was this past weekend, can I blame pregnancy brain? yeah, the mosquitos sure did have their way with me this summer - I was like an all you can eat buffet for the damn things, they love pg women because of the CO2 like you said and because your blood volume is up 30- 50% - so you're delicious to them - grrrr! Thankfully its totally fall weather now ( i'm only 1.5 hrs from your area) and all the damn bugs are gone - good! How are you feeling mama? I'm still waiting for our favorite RE to put up those testimonials....

Babyluv - How's our other twin mama feeling? i'll do the dilating ( though not yet, I guess) you just focus on keeping those little girls in there longer. Ans you were completely right, I'm still at 1cm and 60% , no change at all. Whew! OMG, if you actually do the pg trailer trash halloween costume? You have to post pics! I think that is the best costume idea I've heard of in a while! What a riot that would be. Although I could see some people ( with no sense of humor) thinking "oh, thats just not right" - but funny?? Whoo girl I'd be peeing my pants laughing, love it! Yep, me too, just had to have a haircut& pedi this week, doesnt it just make you feel so much better? Bless your Mom, she is so wonderful to be helping out this much - you're so lucky to have a mom so sweet! xoxo

Angela - Oh, no, I'm sorry to hear that darn GTT still has you nauseous today. At least you were able to take half the day off and get some more things done. Rest up and feel better. About the sharp pains when getting up from lying down, the only thing that helped me was to do it really slooooow and in stages, like from supine position to dangling at the bedside to a really slow stand - which is soooo much easier when you're bladder isnt screaming to get your self in the bathroom ASAP, I know, but those pains - hurt so much! the website is www.http://photobucket.com - its very easy to navigate cause I'm certainly not great with the computer and it didnt give me a hard time (plus I think its neat to have your own webpage for all the babypics we'll soon have!)

Hazel - I'm so happy to hear from you & George (soon he'll be helping you type  ) He's grown longer already? Oh, my he surely is taking after Mum & Dad. Speaking of, how is your Dad doing these days? I hope that the sight of little George brings him joy and happiness. How is your DH handling fatherhood? is he an old pro at changing soiled nappies yet? Wait, I have an even better question for you - so really now, how many hours ( i hope) do you get to sleep each night? I'm wondering if I'll be so tired that I'll be walking into the door frames at 3am? lol. It doesnt really matter, does it? We've all went through so much to get the chance to be parents that if I get some nights of walking into the door frame - so be it, we'll all just think back to when we werent sure if we were ever going to be pregnant and be thankful that we made it. OK, now I sound like my hormones are on overload, I guess they are, pay no mind to me. We miss you and think of you often, but totally get how time consuming a newborn is - well, soon we'll know first hand! much love to you - xoxoxo

Karen - Oh, honey i'm so happy to see you on the cycling thread! I know what a you've went through was heart wrenching, but you are so strong and determined. Between the great response you've had before and your new TAC - I just know that you and your DH will have a lot to celebrate soon! I've been stalking Lou, Franny, Ester, and of course Tammy and I'm so happy to say I'll be stalking you too now. Jeez, I hate the way that sounds, but you know what I mean. We all went throught this together and I 'm not giving up on anyone til we've all seen our dreams come true. Yes, it doesnt seem like that long ago, I was almost out of hope until my wonderful Dr Rose gave us a gift that can never be forgotten, I still keep in touch with him and her name will be Savannah Rose and when I told him that we're naming her after him - he turned 3 shades of red! So I think he likes the idea too. Much love to you - xoxoxo

AFM - OK, back to boring OB appts. I'm still the same 1cm dilated and 60% effaced. I was stressing since i feel like I've done alot of walking, cleaning, errands this week, so I was sort of surprised, but thats quite ok by me - since my own ticker is scaring me! lol. The OB said she didnt see anything to indicate an early arrival - but that can change and that if Drs could guess when babies would arrive on their own that she'd be a millionaire. Ummm, ok then, the babies are in charge, I get it. This actually makes me feel calmer since of course, Chris has been on high alert for labor and has had a good amount of time at home, so in keeping with his wierd work schedule - next week he'll have 4 18-20 hour days in a row - eek! So no labor fron monday to thursday please Savannah! as soon as I call, he can leave and get someone to cover his truck (which is great) but it will still be 1.5- 2 hrs before he'll get to the hospital and lets face, I'll be begging the baby to wait cause he would be devastated to miss her arrival. Ummm, wait, if I'm in labor and it hurts as bad as I think it will, maybe I wont be begging her to stay in there a bit longer hahaha. Ok, I feel like I wrote a novel, I'm going to waddle off in search of what else? FOOD! heehee, it never stops, I was good the whole pg and now in the last month? my brain is all about food- all the time. much love to you all - xoxoxo

Steph - Had to jump on quick and wish you a VERY happy birthday!! Your post about the mall and the stares was hysterical. People are so weird! I generally tell people as soon as they ask when I'm due that I'm having twins so I don't get the, "Wow, your big" looks. Good luck tomorrow and I am SOOOO excited for you to meet your littles and for your in-laws to be GONE by the time you all get home! I'm also super proud of you for making it so far. You did awesome girl, just awesome.

Katie - The people on our street are pretty fun for the most part, but it IS an upscale neighborhood so I'm not sure how the costume will be taken...but I sort of don't care! I figure it will probably be the only time I will get to do it, so we'll just have to see. Oh my, I will pray Savannah stays in until at least Friday so Chris doesn't have to jump through hoops to be there! I'm with you on the no dilation change. Whew!

Angela - I'm so sorry you are still feeling bad. I bet I would be too. Hope your day got better and that tomorrow you are back to normal (whatever THAT means these days!)

Hazel - OB appt went great, thanks for asking! How's that little boy of yours?

Karen - YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!! I am SOOO super excited for you to be cycling again. You are an amazing, strong woman and I will be sending so many prayers your way you have no idea.

AFM - Had my NST and OB appt today and everything is status quo. Actually saw the midwife (OB pulled in as I was leaving, so I'm wondering if he had a baby to deliver), and she said I was more like a fingertip to 1 cm (I know every dr is a little different on their measurements), so that was great news. She said I am doing great and thinks I should be fine making it to my c/s next month. She also thinks both babies are now head down based on where the hb's were, so I guess we'll see at my u/s on Friday. I think I'll still do a c/s, but maybe now I'll have another option. Hmmm...we'll see I guess!

I've felt good today as far as baby stuff, but my allergies are kicking up causing a head cold. Not too bad, but I hope it doesn't turn into anything else. Mom is heading home tomorrow and coming back Sunday, so hopefully I feel better. DH is counting down for me...30 more days. SOOO weird! Alex was apparently a monster of a child this morning for my mom and I had to take Scarlett to the pediatrician this afternoon for a possible UTI, so I'm REEEEEEAAAAALLLY ok with keep the twins inside another month! Just have to tell myself that tomorrow is another day.

morning ladies - just wanted to crash the thread - have been stalking you all

Steph good luck today - I tried to deliver my boys naturally first one was head down and engaged - but when I was fully dilated he decided it was too much like hard work and tipped his head back - there was no way he was coming out naturally then - c section was fine - i found it strangely claming - although it was not an emergency one - I even got to choose what music I wanted to give birth to !! - pain was not too bad - worst was going for first pee but after about 4 days I only needed regular paracetamol and was driving after 5 weeks - scar all healed - won't sugar coat it the first 6 weeks were hard going especially as I was breastfeeding - but they are a joy .. good luck will be thinking of you !!

All you other twin mammas ignore what everyone says when your out - double trouble and the usual crap - I just say no actually double the joy as my boys beam at them !!

Katie - nearly there - I can remeber your BFP as though it was yesterday - the day I went to be induced !! am so delighted for you and chris and keep fingers crossed for a smooth elivery for Savannah and on a day that Chris is home xx

GI - your dreams are about to come true too - well worth all the pain and heartache - thinking of you just across the water in Ireland !!

Hazel - can't wait to meet George in a couple of weeks and give him a proper little cuddle - although he will be not so little by then at the rate he is going - lol xx

everyone else good luck on your journeys to motherhood - I read daily as i feeding the boys but rarely get to post these days - but both sleeping at the moment so making the most of it!

Take care

Steph- GOOD LUCK and Happy belated birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you get bored just think about flinging poopy diapers at your in laws. That has had me smiling all morning.

No time for personals right now as I have to run out the door.
Yesterday at the OB....Oh Boy is what it should be called. My protein was elevated in my urine. She said she does not want to diagnose me with preeclampsia YET. I'm really scared after reading all about it. She doesn't think it's very bad yet but wants to keep an eye on me. Yet my next apt with the OB is in 1 month. I read there is nothing you can do to stop it so I guess my plan is to not worry?!?! GL with that huh?
OK I Have to go meet my other shower person to help her shop.

Again best of luck today Steph and I can wait to see pics of the babies!!!! XOXO

Steph-GOOD LUCK!!! I am thinking of you today and can't wait for the good news!

So....I will try to get caught up and do personals soon. I am exhausted and can't see straight to read on the computer!

Yesterday, I had a horrible headache and the nurse at school took my BP. It was 150/95-Yikes! I called my OB and she sent me to the hospital triage. I went at 4:30 and got hooked up to all the monitors, did blood and urine test. They kept my on observation until 8:00-then told me everything was okay but I needed to go on bedrest at home. Then at 8:00 as I am about to be discharged I started having contractions every 2-3 minutes. So then I had to stay and go on an IV to try to stop them. At 11:00 pm the nurse came in talking to the doctor on the phone. She asked the position of the babies and if I was doing a c-section. She said if contractions don't stop then the babies come tonight. I went into complete shock-I wasn't ready and I was so scared for the babies. Long story short, I had contractions until this morning at 7:00am right before they were going to make the call to take them. I had 3 bags of IV to stop them. I am now on bedrest-I have to still prep stuff for school because it wasn't completely ready, but my teammates are really helping out. I hope these babies stay put for a few more weeks!

I am thinking of you all!! Take care:)

Steph - OMG twin mama - its finally time! - its babies day!!! I'm so excited for you and Andrew!! Please just rest and take the pain meds - just in case
I cant believe that you'll have those little ones in your arms today! Eek, they may already be here! You did an awesome job of keeping them inside and safe!! We're all so proud of you!! Much love, luck and healing vibes to you my friend! - xoxoxoxo

Babyluv - Aw, who cares about neighbors - that costume will be a riot!
I was thinking the same thing, it makes sense that each OB may have a slight difference in measurements, so glad that you've had no change and I'm hoping it stays that way for you. I think all that bed rest has done you a world of good! Thank God that your Mom has been able to be there for you and the kids & babies
She is just awesome!

Carolyn - Oh, honey its great to hear from you - its been awhile. I'll bet those two kepp you hopping in a good way. How big are they now? You must be so thriled to be a Mum x2! I'll bet they are just simply gorgeous! - xoxoxo

PA - - Eek! Please be careful and keep a close eye out for signs of pre- eclampsia - its very serious. How is your BP? Has it been coming up elevated? Do you have any swelling? Pay attention especially to sudden swelling of your fingers or face, and call OB if you suspect anything. I'm not trying to frighten you, I just want you to be aware - just in case. - xoxo

Sara - Oh my honey, you've had a rough few days! it sounds like they're keeping a close eye on you, but please be careful and bed rest means just that - ok? no getting up and doing stuff, ok? do take good care of yourself and those little ones - xoxo

Thoughts & prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Hey ladies,

Steph sorry i didnt get to wish you a Happy Birthday or good luck with delivery on time as jasons laptop was broken!!! I pray all has gone well and you and Andrew are now proud parents to 2 beautiful babies xxxx

Wishful thanks, i read your messages on the mommies site and i see the twins are growing big and strong cant believe they are around 7 mths already, i still remember your shock post at 12 wks pg when you found out it was twins!!

Angela hope you are feeling bit better that test sounds nasty!!

babyluv i can just about picture you and your twin bump in that costume, if i did that here tongues would def. wag!!!!

Katie OMG your ticker says 10 days!!!!!! So that means even if she is late you will be a moma in 20 days at the latest  Dont worry about not having bh, my friend never had any and she def. knew when she was in labour, hers was back pain and period type cramps but she left it to late to go to hosp and missed out on epidural  I would worry about you driving to the hosp on your own even in the early stages of labour even though bh are not painful they can take your breath away and i often get them while driving i really wouldnt like to be driving when having proper contractions. Jason will prob panic soon too as he is usually at least 2 hrs away when working and sometimes his mobile has no signal!!!! I tried to contact him the other day at around 11am and due to no mobile coverage he didnt get my missed call till 5 pm i was like j you need to sort this in case i go into labour and cant get him!!

Karen i am following you on the other thread and really pray you get your little baby xxxx

PA i really hope you dont get early pre-eclamsia though i know there is nothing you can do to prevent it, lets just concentrate on getting you to 28 wks.

Hazel i have no idea what Kayla weighs i was last told she was 1lb at 21wks they just keep telling me she is normal size what ever that is, i personally dont reckon she will be too big may about 7 - 8 lbs.

AFM pregnancy brain has really set in!! Jason gave me perfume and a card last nite and for the life of me i couldnt understand why....its our 14th annivarsary!!! and to top it off my mam reminded jason about it on Monday!!! MY gp appt went well again i thought she couldnt find heartbeat but i knew all was ok as Kayla was kicking away but my gps doppler was picking up my heartbeat and hers at the same time!! She could tell the baby was head down by looking at me in my clothes as i dont look "wide" anymore!! She was also complementing me on having no stretch marks i was like dont jinx it as my sis didnt get hers till 39 wks so i not celebrating just yet!!!

Sorry if i missed anyone have to run and grab a shower then going to stuff myself with a malteser cheesecake i made earlier

gi xx

Sara - I have been thinking about you the past few days...SOOO glad they were able to stop the contractions! Like Katie said, bedrest means REST!! Don't worry about school...your coworkers can take care of it. Feel better...not much longer and you won't have to worry about it anymore! Do you have a date for a c/s or is it just wait and see at this point?

PA - AHHH!! Please be careful! I have read that Vit C & E, plus Omega 3 is good to help stave off pre-e. I eat two omega 3 eggs a day plus OJ with my iron. I don't think I will ever eat another egg after the twins are born! Good luck!
