Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted. Thanks for all your advice. On my way to the hospital for the third day in a row, had hoped for a day off, no such luck. I had my 6 day scan yesterday to see if my follicles were growing. My cysts were gone and I had 31 follicles, 17 on one side and 14 on the other. I guess that's why they are worried.

Just a quickie from me. DH and I went to the movies and out to dinner after work and now it's way past 'nana-me's bedtime. 3rd beta today was 15,000. That's 20 days past 5 day transfer. I'm off the progesterone pessaries and my own progesterone is apparently holding it's own even though it's dropped from 160 to 85 in a week. I've got my last bloodtest next Weds. Then my first scan the week following.

Wow, that's great Tess.

You would never guess what happened to me. I decided to have a coffee and bacon sandwich before my appointment. I sat down and fully enjoyed my breakfast, went to pay and discovered I left my purse at home. So embassesed! Had to call my husband to talk to the owner and get agreement for him to pop in after he has finished work to pay. Trust me, must be all the homones. Lesson of the day: check you can pay before you order and stuff your face.

I found out today, that they reduced my dose yesterday as my levels were too high. I am praying for a day off tomorrow. I think it's working, I have Bern feeling a bit heavy in the tummy, not sure as the folls are only 7 and 8mm.

In the end, I just figured it was my first SnS after starting stims so things are still early and I didn't want to drive myself crazy comparing my number and sizes to people on the internet this early on LOL. I'm thinking by tomorrow I'll be ready to get some details on my follies.

Amanda: It may be early, but grow follies grow! If all looks good tomorrow morning, I'll start stimming tomorrow evening! Never thought I'd be so excited to get back to getting stuck...but I am! I would assume my insemination (that even sounds weird after 2 yrs of IVF) should be the week of the 25th? Hey, what is the abbreviation for that? just say IUI?

Sonya: How ya feeling? ER go ok? Worried about you with all those follies...hope you are resting up and all went well.

Freckles: So sorry ER was so painful...for me it has always been as well--all 3 times-even when I didn't overstim. I am convinced it has something to do with my endo, but regardless, take care of yourself. Rest. Take your meds. Drink fluids--like gatorade--and don't overdo it if you are uncomfortable. Remember, though: It is for such an amazing cause and will all be worth it for that BFP!!

Lauren319: Still basking in the glory of your "Pregnant-ness"? You should be!

Lou: Just a few more days....hang in there...keep up the PMA...I am feeling good about this for you!!

Back from my appointment. I'll get bloodwork results later and find out if meds stay the same or change.

Follie count -- 5 measuring less than 10 on right ovary. 4 measuring less than 10 on left ovary. I haven't a clue if this is good, bad or indifferent. The u/s tech lady was very nice but she didn't say if this was a good thing or not. I go back Friday for another u/s and bw.

Klingar and Margi - Not too uncomfortable yet, I am starting to feel a bit bloated and my lower back is aching a bit. I am drinking loads of liquid, I have never drank soo much, me and the toilet are now best friends. Yes, this is my first cycle and I am very nervous and worried about OHSS! I got my call from the hospital this afternoon, my homone levels must be ok as they asked me to stick to the current dose of stims. I have to go back tomorrow.

Klingar - I am sure your folls are fine, ask the other half to rub your tummy for you.

Margi - We can be pin cushions together

Nancy - its sounds like its still early days, I had my first scan on day 5 and they were all under 10. The nurse advised that was the right size for day five.

Katie -- OMG.... you only have 10 days to go! I'm sooo excited for you. Can't wait to see pics of Savannah! I do remember you having a negative HPT and then a BFP right after. So no... no POAS for me. I'm prepared for either outcome. I will move forward if I have to.

Freckles-- Congrats on 7! Can't wait for your fert report. How's your pain today? I had a bad ER my first time. Had I known better, I should have gone to the emergency room to make sure I didn't have an ovarian torsion. Luckily, I didn't. But I was in so much pain I couldn't move. Turns out, I bled a little bit and blood is very irritating to the tissues inside.

Karin -- Me too! We shall see. Maybe I'm just coming down with the flu or something.

Andrea -- Ha... glad you are so sure. I hope you're right. Don't worry about a 3dt vs a 5dt. That's how I was on my second IVF... convinced I needed a 5dt for it to work. Well, I got pregnant on a 3dt. Unfortunately I miscarried. My next cycle I had a 5dt of two perfect blasts and it was BFN. So who knows. If the embies are strong... they can work either way.

Anniegirl -- Good luck on your SnS tomorrow! Why are you hoping for ER on the 22nd vs any other day?

Osi -- Oy... 31 follies! For realz??? That's incredible! That's a funny story about forgetting your purse. I've done that too.... TWICE! I once went out in the evening to get gas for my car and forgot my credit card. I had no cash in my purse. I felt sooo stupid.

Tess -- Awesome news on your beta! So happy for you.

Klinger -- I hope you get GREAT details about your follies tomorrow! Good luck!

Margi -- Are you doing an IUI this time? With meds?

AFM -- I started out today feeling good. Now that damn headache is back. I feel like I'm coming down with the flu. Tired... headachy.... and bleh. Gosh, I hope it's not the flu!

I got a message from an IVF nurse (not my regular nurse so she must have been off today)?? Anyway, RE was pleased with my follie count and how they are progressing. My Estriadol level was a little low for the number of follies I have so I have to up my meds, which means I'll probably end up ordering more meds. The nurse ended the message with "your cycle is looking great" so that was nice to hear.

I'll do personals later. Thinking of everyone!!!!

Hello everyone! I'm definitely feeling better. I seriously thought I was going to die last night! I was in so much pain. My DH had no idea what to do for me but I do have to say that he was so great through the entire process. Thank God for Vicodin!

I still have pain but not as much. Just lots of bloating and pressure. I can deal with that over the pain I felt. Thanks so much for everyone's responses and advice. It is greatly appreciated!

Quick update. ER said that they got 7 eggs total and 4 fertilized. ET is scheduled for Friday so I hope to transfer 2! I am so extremely excited and feel so much joy that we are at this point. I wish all of you the best of luck and may God bless you all with everything you desire.

I sure hope I get a BFP so I will keep you all posted as to my progress.

Oh....one more question ladies.

My RE has decided to to a 3 day transfer. Is that common for ICSI? I know that the 5 day can implant easier but is this common? I just want the best chance to get a BFP. Why would he do a 3 day vs. a 5 day? Any advice would help.

Freckles - My guess is that your doctor is doing a 3dt is because you will have 4 or less embryos. My clinic only does a 5dt if there are more than 4 going strong on day 3. It's better to get what you have in there. The only advantage of a 5dt is that they can weed out the weak ones. Transferring at day 5 won't make the ones you have any better though.

OMG - Migraine headache with nausea is back. ****! Hurts really bad. I wish i could take Excedrin. I keep heaving but nothing comes up. Is this the PIO? I'm on a higher dose, 1.5 ml.

Lou: Yes, I am doing IUI. No more money for IVF. But trying to keep up the PMA. I have a great new doctor that is very hopeful and encouraging--despite the fact I only have one tube--lost to ruptured ectopic. I start stimming tomorrow if all goes well with morning tests. My only worry is if my one tube is blocked. I am trying not to imagine that possibility, but I will have an HSG next week to determine. I also hear it can be a bit painful....anyone out there have one?

I am sorry Lou that you have a migraine...I have only had 2 of those in my life and they are absolutely miserable. There must be something safe you can take while pregnant?!?! Have you called your doc..GP to ask? I hate to see you uncomfortable--especially at this time. If nothing else, rest, be still, stay in the dark...take care, hon.
