Post by babygirl »

My last IVF dr took me off of progesterone support at 7 weeks b/c my numbers were really high (80s). . . my current dr says that that should never be done b/c progesterone numbers can change very quickly. what is your take on this??

The question is not so much how high they were, but if they were rising. At about that time, progesterone levels rise because the placenta starts making progesterone (and stops relying on the follicle for progesterone in natural pregnancies). When we see progesterone levels rise around that time, we discontinue.

You said "at 7 weeks". Do you mean 7 weeks gestation (about 4.5 weeks post transfer, 7 weeks after last menstrual period) or 7 weeks post-transfer? The former is a little earlier than we usually see rising progesterone, while the latter is very typical.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
