danme-CONGRATS on ur ET sounds like everything went well! I wish I knew what the AA and AB all meant bc when I had my ET I had 2-3 days transfers that they said were 8 cells and when I asked grading they kinda just said..good quality! should I be getting specifics???

I don't know about you, but I feel like crap! I'm already crampy and nauseous... I'm blaming the Estrace and Prometrium double dose I started yesterday. Can anyone give me a heads up on what side effects to be expecting? I can't believe how icky I feel again! I just started feeling better yesterday

Teresa, I totally get what you’re saying…sometimes good to be cautious. I know everything is going to be great moving forward for you and you are going to have a healthy pregnancy, but I could understand how telling people early could add to the pressure. Plus, isn’t it fun to have this secret between you and your husband to enjoy! I am so excited for Disney. I haven’t been since I was 5 and I barely remember anything! I was too short to even go on space mountain! I think I’m going to have more fun than my 10yr old niece!

Ester-I know! Doesn’t the time fly when you’re planning and then when you finally start it seems to drag! I’m so excited that you are starting! Sounds like you had a full weekend! What was your costume? I haven’t been since I was five, so basically it’s a first for me! I CAN’t wait! I am totally going to feel like a kid again

Riogirl- I’m so sorry! I’m guessing you haven’t shared with her your IVF journey? If you have, I couldn’t imagine a person laying all of that on you when you are going through such a challenging time, let alone your mother. Ugh. Unfortunately, we can’t change our family, but at least you know you are going to be the most supportive mother and be nothing like she is. I’m glad you vented to us. And, I’m sorry.

Tammy-I’m so glad you are starting again! I hear you sister. I just found out 2 of my friends are pregnant and both of them just started trying less than 4 months ago. I’m happy for them, but jealous that it’s come so easy for them!

Lou- what the ****. Are you serious. I am so so very sorry. I can’t believe it. I hate IVF sometimes. PM me and we can talk.

Lauren319-Seriously need a big drink. I know nothing helps, this sucks, and I’m so sorry you are going through this right now.

Ryann- happy birthday! For some reason, 25 has been my favorite age thus far. Enjoy it! I know I’m only 27…but 25 was a great year!

Lauren, the grading just has to do with how the embryos are forming - AA is highest, you can google it and learn more. I don't put a LOT of stock in it because I've seen a lot of so-so embies turn into beautiful babies, but me, the research hound, has to know and my clinic respects that. I even get copies of my charts so I can study them. Guh.

I think it might be harder to grade early transfers as well - these are blastocyst gradings.

Hello Ladies. I was wondering if I could join your group? DH and I are starting on the IVF journey for the first time. We had a second consult with our RE on Thursday and go to "IVF Orientation" this coming Thursday. I can't wait to go to that, I really don't know that much about IVF. We/I am very nervous and anxious as to what is yet to come. AF is due around 10/26 and I will call that day to start bcp on day 4. I live about 2.5 hours from my clinic, so lots of driving in my future!

I look forward to getting to know you. I will try to read a few pages back and see if I can get an idea as to what's going on on this thread!

AFM - SnS this morning was great! Up to 7 measurable follies now on my little ovary that could. Largest was 21x18, smallest 9x12 and the rest in between. I know not all will get all the way where they need to be, but I'm just so happy that my ovary has responded to all the meds we've been pumping in. I stay on my same dosage tonight and doc said there is a really good chance I'll be triggering tomorrow night for a Thursday ER. Next SnS tomorrow morning...

Sadly, the side effects of the drugs are very similar to pregnancy... without the positive test. Don't let the symptoms go to your head, as hard as that is. I've been on these meds for nearly a year and a half and have some 'extra' symptoms that I can rely on... one being bitchiness/emotional outbursts, another being a very sore lower back, and also exceptionally sore nipples.

How much progesterone are you taking?

AFM: Stimming away...SnS tomorrow and HSG tomorrow too, so hopefully we'll see some serious follies..and on the "right" side...and hopefully the test will show that I have an open tube. Prayers for that would be accepted. I don't know what I will do if my only tube is blocked.

New RE is quite positive regarding our odds, so we are trying to maintain PMA and move forward. Hoping for the best with stims and IUI. (No thread moving on IUI part of the board so I begged to stay on and cycle with you supportive ladies here on the IVF side of things. )

Yep... I am up to 600mg of progesterone... I may be more tolerant to it than others due to how long I've taken it... I notice the effects but it's nothing that I can't handle now. Maybe because I've been on it for about...four months or so if you put it all together? LOL

Make sure you get it right to your cervix and it wont' be so messy..
