Lou & laurn319...thinking of both of you. Wish I could say something that would help. I know how frustrated you must be, but you both are so strong and aren't the kind that give up. So...feel sorry for yourself...be mad at the world...have some drinks...and come back swinging. We're here to listen when you're ready. Praying for you both.

Kynlee....praying you get positive results today.

Sonya.....congrats on beinG PUPO!

Tammy.....glad to see you back!

Macfamily......congrats on BFP! :D

Ryann....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I would LOVE to be 25 again. That was the age that I started to feel like a real adult. I'm sure that with IVF you've felt like a real adult for some time. I don't think I would have had the balls to do IVF then....I can barely do it now. You are a beautiful, strong girl and are wAy beyond your years. I hope you had a wonderful day!

AFM.....I had an u/s on Friday and everything was good with that. However, they changed my calendar to 3 days later. Apparently our ED had a big exam and begged my RE to change it. I know that it's only 3 days, but I am so irritated by the whole thing. Can' t he just give her a freaking not or something? Aren't we the ones paying? Not to mention how much time we've lost. DH was pissed! He changes his entire schedule and took vacation days and now he has to change it again. He probably won't be able to be with me for the ET. Which really sucks! We'd at least like to be able to say that we were together when I got pregnant...right? If in fact...it ever happens. I start lupin tomorrow and ER on the 12th. Now I'm just happy to get started again.

Sorry if I know I missed a lot of you ladies. I will have to do more personals later. My Mac isn't working, so I'm using DH IPAD and typing on this thing sucks! Sorry for some misspelled words.

Hope everyone is having a good week!
~Karin~

Hi girls, a quick update from my iPhone. My et yesterday was went up to 19000 however today they went down to 11000. They have asked me to stim tonight at a reduced dose, DH is worried abou this as he does not understand if they are trying to reduce my levels why are they asking me to stim again. Has anyone experienced this before?

Im BACK!!!

My IVF got cancelled because my uterine lining was at 9mm and didnt thin out enough on my "Lupron Period" so i had to have a D&C last monday. I am now on day 5 of my 21 days of birth control pills. This pushed our ER/ET back to the week of thanksgiving! I do not have my calendar yet they are mailing it to me today!

Osi- I have not heard of your issue before. I'm sorry I can't be of help, but know I'm sending you some positive energy your way!

Macfamily- congrats on your BFP! You must be so excited! woo whooo! :D

Karin1- Sorry about your schedule change. I've found that this whole process feels so unpredictable...which is odd when you think about all the specific things that have to be done in specific order to get pregnant! Just try to stay positive and think about being pregnant soon!

AFM- I am on Lupron right now. Today is Day 2. So hopefully by Sunday AF will rear her head! I'm so darn eager to be pregnant again! I have a good feeling that all is going to be ok!

SnS today went well. 14 follies that could be measured (I can't remember sizes though) 6 that were less than 10.

I go back again tomorrow for another SnS and they said ER will probably be either Thurs or Friday and we'll know more after tomorrow.

I'm hoping I don't have to order more meds. I have enough to get through Tuesday night as it is right now.

Hi everyone,

Still pretty sad about my BFN on Saturday. Not sleeping well at all. I just lay there and wonder if we'll ever have a child. I've now done 3 fresh and 2 frozen cycles for a total of 5 transfers that resulted in a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage and 4 BFN's. I'm just at a loss. There's nothing wrong with me! Other than that I'm nearly 38 years old. DH has a low count and poor morphology. He FINALLY (after over 2 years) went to a urologist and got diagnosed with a varicocele. He's following up on Nov 12th and will have it repaired if it's recommended. It is causing him some pain. This should improve his fertility (we hope). He thought he had a hernia. We have a consult with RE on Friday afternoon. I'm going to ask about a bunch of things to possibly improve our results for our final cycle including DHEA, estrogen priming, and growth hormone. We will cycle once more. Probably late December/early January. If that ends in a BFN as well, then we will have to try on our own and hope for the best. Or maybe do IUI if DH's sperm quality is better. We shall see.

I wish you all the very best of luck in your cycles. I'll read along and post occasionally so know I'm cheering you all on. I will update after our appts for sure.

Thank you all for your love and support. I couldn't have done it without you!

Hi ladies. I'm on my work computer, so personals may be a bit lacking....

Lauren...Thanks for the birthday wishes. I know 25 is not old, but my lifelong goal has been to be a mom by 25, so it was just a rude awakening! I know I have time, so now my new goal is mommy by 26. I hope I don't have to keep it creeping up another year! As far as work goes, I'm a teacher, so I just told my principal what I was going through and told her I would do my best to get all my appts before school, but when it comes time for ET I will be taking Thursday and Friday off. She was very supportive.

Krys...I am so sorry. I hope you get some concrete answers and can either get excited or move on.

Amanda (klinger)....well I hope to start cooking my mom's grandbaby that day!!!! I figure its a good sign that I got AF on my birthday, and I'm hoping it's my last one for a LONG time! The only bummer is that my school does some really neat activities for Veteran's Day and now I'll have to miss them! Oh well though! I'm so proud of your ovary!!!!

Kynlee....Thank you for the birthday wishes. I'm sorry your HPT was negative, but don't lose hope yet!

babyblu and Sonya....Congrats on being PUPO!

Tiger...Thanks! I'm hoping 25 is a great year filled with pregnancy symptoms!!!!!!

Kelly...Welcome!

Margi...Good luck tomorrow!

Karin...Thanks for the birthday wishes. You're right though, I have felt like an adult for quite some time now....even though I do have my moments where I act quite chilish :) I don't think that will ever go away! I'm sorry they changed your date, I know it sucks to have to move, but maybe there is good reason. I realized that maybe my first IVF didn't go so well because I was supposed to get my new puppy before I got pregnant. At least that's me trying ot be positive!

To anyone I missed, I'm always thinking of you all!

AFM...I'm finally starting to feel like effects of crappy Luron. Killer heachache today and TERRIBLE cramps! I have my next appt on 10/25, and as long as all seems well I am still on track for a transfer on 11/11.

Sorry this has to be quick.

Macfamily - super congrats on your BFP, can't wait for the offical beta!

Lou - I wasn't sure what your "issue" was. We have sort of the same. If you do ICSI there is also no guarantee that because a sperm looks normal that it actually is. Bad sperm account for miscarriages and everything else too not just your egg quality. Is he on vitamins or supplements? Have you considered donor sperm? I know these are hard questions but it is important that this might not be working not because of your age. You can try PGD too I guess. I really pray that it all works out for you and this next cycle will be your lucky one!

Lou & lauren319- I am so sorry for your BFN's. I wish I could take your pain and frustration away and please know that my prayers are with you!

Klinger- Sounds like you are doing great with your stims. I know your meds are expenisve since you are out of pocket up it will be worth it when you get your BFP

Ester- Oh how exciting that you will be starting your next cycle soon. Did your baby-ina-box arrive safely?

Ryann- So sorry for the Lupron headaches. Try to drink lots of water and gatoraide. It helped for me.

Tiger- After this weekend I'm glad we didnt tell anyone. I had more heavy bleeding all weekend and was super scared. Had an u/s done today and looks like all is still well but who knows for the long run. I hate that I cant enjoy my pregnancy and have been so stressed. I wish I was my co-worker who didnt even know she was pregnant until she was 4 months along. Her Dr. just happened to run a test during a routine exam because she couldn't remember when her last mensus was. Otherwise she might have been one of the TLC didn't know I was prego girls who has her baby in the toilet!

nancy- You are doing so great with your stims too. Looks like you and Klinger will be close together with your egg retrievals.

Sonya- Congrats on your ET and 3 great sounding embies. Enjoy being PUPO!

That's all I can remember for now but I read on you all and my thoughts and prayers are with everyone!

Hi everybody

Teresa - oh my goodness - the bleeding must be really scary. I'm really glad that everything was fine on u/s and hope that once your hemorrhage is sorted, you'll have no more scares. I won't say no more worries because us IVF ladies always have worries.

Macfamily - yaaaay for you! Can't wait to hear your beta :D

Lou - infertility is just plain cruel. I'm sending some good zzzzzz vibes you way so that you can get a good nights sleep. Then, hopefully some nice positive thoughts are gonna start shining through again. I'm so glad to hear that you are going to give IVF another shot. I'm sure you'll leave no stones unturned and will ask all the right questions at your next appt.

Nancy and Klinger -not far to go now. Looking forward to the fertility reports in a few days time.

Ryann - happy birthday for yesterday. Don't worry, my 'to be' mother date has been pushed out by several years. Firstly for financial reasons, and then when DH and I were both comfortable and making enough money we started trying to conceive with no luck. Then I went through the public health system to find out what was wrong which resulted in a big, fat, Nothing! And then onto IVF which we all know is a waiting game. Then I was 40 - crap! I'll be 41 by the time I'm a Mum. All going well of course. In hindsight I would definitely start trying in my 20's and not worry about the money side. You're doing the right thing and I've got my fingers crossed that you'll be a mummy real soon.

Babyblu and Sonya - congrats on being PUPO. I love that term. Hanging out for the betas. What's are both of your POAS points of view - yay or nay?

Karen - yay for your PMA. That's the way to go!

Txcp - great to see you back again all ready for another round. :)

Karin - how frustrating for you. I'd be pretty peeved too. Glad to hear the u/s went well.

Kelly - welcome! This is a great board if you can keep up with it!

AFM - I've taken the day off work today as I hardly got any sleep last night. I just had one of those horrible nights where you just get really anxious about everything. It didn't help that we got a snotty letter from our neighbors, complaining about a 10 ft hedge that we trimmed back to 8 ft because it was cutting out the light in our kitchen. They're claiming that we've destroyed their privacy. Our house is built higher than theirs (we're on a hillside) and we can't even see the top of their roof out of our window so I don't know what their problem is. There's another bush by our deck which is starting to obstruct our sea views so we're going to have to negotiate getting that cut back by a whole couple of feet. The lady next door doesn't like to see my 'smalls' on the washing line. WTF! Is she from the Victorian era!! When we first moved in I used to leave fresh eggs (from our chooks) and veggies from the garden for them. I never once received a thank you so they don't get anything anymore. Excuse the rant, I think I'm hormonal as I don't generally worry about stuff like that. Work is pretty slow at the moment, which is really unusual, so I'm making the most of it. I've got another beta tomorrow morning and then an u/s next Tues. Argghh - bit scary but exciting at the same time. I nearly lost my cool last night when DH announced he would have to travel some day next week. I'd already booked him in for the u/s appt but of course, he forgot. Anyway, he's gonna be there no matter what! I can't imagine looking at the first u/s without him being there.

To all those I've missed - I hope you're all doing fine.

RIO-have a ?? about the sperm thing? Do you think they will do PGD if the female is normal? My DH has the problem but weve gotten BFN...so was curious.

Lou-My DH went to a urologist and they basically told him it may or maynot help his count and that it may take 3-6months to change. Also I found a website with a lot of success stories from the surgery so I think its a good idea for you to do this... if I come across it again I will post it for you! I have been trying to get my DH to get it taken care of. I hope he will soon:)

Ryann-I see why 25 was shocking to you but you still have plenty of time to be a young mommy!! I am glad to see you changed your goal...thats awesome! ALso I am a nurse so I usually work 3-12hr shifts and I just changed jobs a few months ago and this new boss doesnt know my situation..I make all my appts around work its just not knowing when ER or ET will be and bc I do physical work my RE usually doesnt want me working during my 2ww so IDK its like wait and see where everything falls..

AFM-I have been spotting off/on for days so I called the RE and spoke to the nurse she said I should come in tomorrow morning and get checked out and see whats going on bc sometimes you dont get AF from the estrogen and that I could be possibly starting STIMS tomorrow and ER maybe halloween??? IDK I am nerous about it all...emotional rollercoaster here I come! I also dont know if its too soon to start...like maybe AF will be coming..IDK Wish me luck girls I am nervous and anxious!!!

Karein1- Unreal that ED puts you on hold for 3 days like you dont have enough stress right now... Stay positive it will happen soon :) Good Luck

Osi- I am too new to no about the numbers dropping like that, but I know my numbers were pretty high well over 5000 and they kept me on the meds just lower doses and then after ER i got put on hold for ET... Every case is different but it was my first ivf cycle so my Dr didnt want to take any chances... Good luck with everything... If they say you may get ohss drink LOTS of gaterade it helps :)

Nancyb- 14 follies awesome :)

Lou- thinking of you, I know life just isnt fair... Stay hopeful :)

Riogirl- I think I read a post awhile back on vitamins and supplements your dh was taking... Can you let me know what they are... My DH he has everything wrong with his sperm... :( Any help would be great.... I do believe in health stuff so I would be willing to have him try anything... He only has one Kidney so he worries about just taking anything but I told him vitamins wont harm him... any info would be great , you can PM on it if you want...Thanks

sorry if I missed anyone It has been a long sad day for me.... I got a BFN and I am so bummed out, I know it was my first shot with IVF but it was tough to hear even though I new cause I took the prego test saturday... Guess just officially hearing it was the hard part, the DH has been so great today, he is so caring when he wants to be :) When I got the news I thought god can I do this again, but I am moving forward and hoping for a better 2nd chance....:) Ill keep you all posted on what am I am doing after Weds appt...

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick post, more personals later. I am still in limbo about when my ER will be. I go to the doc again tomorrow (3rd day in a row). Hopefully I will have an idea then. I will keep you posted. I am sorry to hear about the BFNs. Hang in there girls. i can't believe how hard this whole process is and then to have it fail is just devastating! Hang in there girls!

Hello Ladies!

I'm very new to this forum and to the IVF world. I've been married for almost seven years and have been off the pill about 6 month before our wedding due to a pulmonary embolism i had because of the birth control. At first we tried alternative methods to prevent a pregnancy, but after 4 years of marriage we decided to start our family. Since then we have been trying, and nothing. Then in 2008 I went to the my OBGYN and had some tests done and the results were normal for both of us.

He has a daughter from a previous marriage, she's 11. Finally, we decided to go to a fertility specialist and had MANY more tests. Final Result: Unexplained Infertility.

Everything seems fine, but we haven't had any luck. I have never been pregnant.

We are starting our first (and hopefully last) IVF cycle next week. Well, I'll start taking the medications next week and hope for the best.

I look forward of sharing this journey with all of you !!!
