Looking for November Cycle Buddies

We used to have low count, low motility, low morphology but I had my DH take vitamins and now we have low motility, normal count, and morphology just a tid below normal, which is awesome, we still are doing ICSI though because after going through all this I want them to fertilize!!! Because of my age, we are not willing to keep trying naturally because I am 39 and running out of time. I don't respond too great to meds so I am prayeing the DHEA will help and we can get a sibbling for our boy. Our IVF mircale. We are so blessed and I wish the same joy to everyone!!!

I think you and I are almost on the exact dates. Last BCP for me is Tuesday, and I started Lupron 10 on 10-15. Looks like we are set for FET on November 10th, I think you are on the 8th?? I am transferring 3 5 days blasts too, hoping for a singleton or TWINS!! This FET process seems so much longer than Fresh transfer but def less stress. I am starting patches and Suppositories on the 25th.

jenmink- So exciting to hear someone on the exact same timeline as I am. We will have to keep each other posted since we should be going through the same things at the same time. I agree this FET seems horribly long. Even on this board there are people starting their meds after me, but transferring before me. I just keep telling myself that all this wait will finally pay off. Maybe the long wait is what we needed! I would be happy with 1 or more this time so hopefully we both end up with BFP. How many cycles have you done before?

annashope- you had asked about the Estrogen IM shots....but I actually dont start them until Thursday. I am a little nervous since Ive never done them before, just because I dont know if there are additional side effects...etc. I am just hoping that they dont cause the knots like I always get with PIO. If they do, the NP said I can do them in my thigh, so I guess I will be knotted up everywhere. But I just dont want to start the PIO in knots from the Estrogen, so I guess I will have to wait and see.

AFM- Last birth control pill this morning!!! SO excited about that. Still doign Lupron daily, and start all the estrogen pills and shots on Thursday. Hopefully transferring 3 weeks from today!!!

grrrr.... so frustrated. Beta today was at 26 - which is just where we expected it to be. It's halving every 3.5/4 days - so I should be down below 5 in about 8-10 days.... then I *should* get a period which *should* clear out the leftover tissue in my uterus...

I just want to start my FET already!

Hi ladies! It seems like many of you are doing FET. I've done one before. And yes, I agree, it is a long process!

I'm currently on Lupron (day 2) and will be looking for AF this weekend! And then I'll start stims on CD3! woo whoo! I'm so excited to be pregnant again! woo whoo!

And how ironic, I found after my miscarriage..to at one point be hoping, hoping that the beta goes up quickly...and then on the other side, to be hoping, hoping, hoping it drops quickly so you can get past it! I'm sorry I don't get to reply to everyone, but I am praying and thinking about you all. You know.....until your in this situation you don't know what the word "lonely" is all about....but all of you are making this journey not feel so lonely after all, thank you all for posting.

Right now I'm just taking the 20 units of Luron injections and I go for an U/S and blood workup on Thursday. Then I will start the Estrace (1mg) pill twice a day. Right now they are telling me that I will start the progesterone - oil injections on Nov. 5th and then the transfer looks to be Nov. 11th. I tried acupuncture the last round of IVF and I'm just unsure if it did anything......so I don't know what to do....go, or not go?

although I have not personally done acupuncture (enough needles for me with the IVF) - my approach has always been - if it can't hurt, why not try it! (I go a bit crazy during my cycles - no alcohol, no caffeine, no lifting at all, etc)

It's really awful to get that call from the clinic that your beta hCG is positive - and be UPSET! So different that what I usually feel! Down to 26.... only a few more weeks to go.

Sorry this is quick, leorira - I totally understand, with my ectopic it was the same - crap - still pregnant! Weird and so sad, big hugs to you.

I don't really believe in some stuff but I found my insurance covered some acupuncture so I am doing it. I am not taking any of the herbal stuff he said to take. Plus he said my Chi has no umpf. So whatever that means. No offense to those who are into these things, my brain is just not wired that way!!!!

I have actually never tried accupunture before, but am trying it with this cycle after a recommendation from the NP. They said that studies have shown increased pregnancy rates when accupunture is done with IVF...so I say I might as well try. I figure that plus the increased estrogen Ill be on this round, plus the Lovenox after the transfer...hopefully all these new additions will get me to the BFP!! My first accupunture session is today after I get off work, so I will let you all know how things go.

Blair- Let me know how the acupuncture goes, I am thinking about doing it this time too. Also, why the Lovenox this time, did you have some tests run after the chemical? I am hopeful for you

I'm starting to get excited, finally! haha I start Lupron Monday. It's weird to look forward to sticking myself with a needle. The two RE's at my clinic are going round and round over me and whether they should change my protocol a little...One wants to give me a bigger boost at the beginning to help promote more mature eggs, and the other wants to keep things the same since I got pregnant, even though it ended in m/c and I didn't have any left over for freezing. Not sure what will end up happening, but it will be interesting to see who gets their way. They are father and daughter, kinda funny to watch this play out. lol. My hope is that they are all mature this time, we need as many chances as we can get. Anyhow, hope you are all having a great week!

I did acupuncture with my last cycle and I'm doing it again. It really helped to keep me balanced and less stressed out. I also do meditations made for IVF patients. They are by Anji. I really recommend it. I also have one that focuses on visualizing pregnancy. I think anything you can do to increase positive thinking and vibes is a bonus. Of course you have to have a good cycle! But who is to say these efforts can't help promote that? Fine line between science and "intention". Power of positive thinking! Xo Karen

Hi, I am new to the community too. My DH and I have 2 beautiful daughters and have been TTC for about 18 mos. We had an HSG that showed my right tube is blocked and my left one is questionable. We tried 2 rounds of IUI with no success in July and Aug and are now going to move on to our 1st round of Mini IVF. Has anyone here ever tried Mini IVf? I am super nervous but very hopeful! ANY info I can get from anyone would be great since this is all so new to me. I will start BCP on the 1st day of my next menstral cycle which should be around 10/29. I guess that means my retrival & transfer will be in mid~November?! So glad to be in the company of those who understand!

Karen - I totally am with you in that I believe int he power of positive thinking! It is just the analysis of my chi and some other stuff that I really don't quite understand... I believe in prayers also and in miracles!
easley 4 - welcome!
mellow - see if your insurance covers acupuncture, if not it could be an extra $500, it was a little painful but not bad, nothing compared to IVF!!!
blair - my RE recommended acupuncture too she did say it increased your odds, I am all for increasing odds, I have been taking DHEA and co-Q10 for months now.
