I did acupuncture with my last cycle and I'm doing it again. It really helped to keep me balanced and less stressed out. I also do meditations made for IVF patients. They are by Anji. I really recommend it. I also have one that focuses on visualizing pregnancy. I think anything you can do to increase positive thinking and vibes is a bonus. Of course you have to have a good cycle! But who is to say these efforts can't help promote that? Fine line between science and "intention". Power of positive thinking! Xo Karen

babydreamz- You are welcome. I like to pass on to others what has helped me manage the "intangible" hard part of IVF. It does help you feel better! Oh, and yes, I thought they were a bit expensive too. Like everything else related to IVF!!!

I was suppose to start FSH tomorrow, before RE said to increase Lupron to 20 units instead of 10 which I am taking since Oct 13.
According to the calender which was given to me, I was suppose to DECREASE lupron to 5 units.
Is something wrong? Has anybody else experienced this?

Also my TSH has shot up to 9 from 2.45, I am taking meds regularly, what could have been the reason for my tsh to rocket.

I am on the edge, looks like the dates will change quite a bit.

They got 17 eggs! I am feeling ok but my left side is really sore (the left side had a lot more eggs than the right side). Dr sent home some pain meds and said to watch for signs of OHSS. Hopefully everything will be okay I don't feel bloated and have been drinking water like crazy so I think I am ok. They said tentatively I would have ET on Sunday but of course I won't know anything until we see how well my ladies and my DH boys got along at the big dance today. My husband said that he put "Be careful these boys are rowdy" on the label of his sample today. Glad he could see the humor in all that went on today especially when he said he was pretty worried about me today. ahhhhh

Hi Karen I have a ton of questions about acupuncture that I hope you do not mind answering. When did you do the acupuncture? Before, during, after IVF? Is it recommended during the 2ww? What type of questions should I ask the acupuncturist to find out if they know what they are doing as far as fertility matters go? I know there are a couple of places that do acupuncture in my city but I don't really know how to find the best place to go for my issues. Thanks for sharing! Kristy

I'm feeling really down. I really really really hating waiting. The only response I get from my doctor is "let's wait and see". I don't want to wait anymore, but I have to. UGHHHHH

Why can't I just get my period already? I wore my nicest panties today - hoping to tempt fate

leorira- I love that you are tempting fate! Hopefully AF will get here and you will be out shopping for a new pair of "best undies"

AFM-- DR just called. I had 11 eggs fertilize, 1 mature egg that has not fertilized (they are still going to watch that shy one) and the other 5 eggs were immature. I am pretty happy with that! So now we can't wait to see how many of the 12 eggs make it thru tomorrow. DH and I feel like mother hens talking about our "eggs" and wondering how they will be doing tonight and tomorrow. Trying not to get too excited

leorira - best undies oh for sure you will get AF! I am sorry hun with my ectopic it took forever to drop from even 16 to 8, so sorry, doing an AF dance for you!

Hi Ladies
I am a little late in joining the group but am excited to have some "friends" to chat with. I am in the process of waiting to do a FET in a few weeks. I just stopped my BCP yesterday and now will wait for AF. I am only going to be doing estrogen patches and prog.in oil and then the transfer. Has ony one else done this? This is my first FET. We are looking at the week of 11/8 for the FET. We were blessed with a baby boy back in Dec. 2008 with IVF and now want a playmate for him

Oh Leorira I read your post about the best panties and it had me laughing. I am so sorry you are having to wait but we are in this together. I have to get a good report from my oncologist this week and AF on Fri or Sat but not earlier please. Anyways I understand the panties but I think wearing white pants or skirt usually does the trick for me.

I promise to do personals shortly but for now as I said before just waiting for AF and trying to really convince myself to have PMA for this cycle.

yeah! Other people who understand about nicest panties/white skirts to tempt AF into coming! I love that you guys understand!

But alas, my nefarious plan did NOT work. Oh well. (However, DH picked up on it and made wearing nice undies worth the while!)

Congrats to everyone who had ER! The few days after a ER, waiting for the ET, is always the weirdest to me. Well.... *if* I get pregnant, the babies have already been concieved... but they are waiting across town right now! Always a weird feeling!

Update on me, I started stims last tuesday and as of today, I have a lot of follicles with a size around 16, one 20+but my ovaries are really full and they are laying on top of one another My RE said that they usually like to see more 18+ follies before the HCG shot. I'm just nervous that they will rush and I won't get good egg quality. It does take a lot of trust in our RE and I know they know what they are doing but I just help my feelings. I'm sure its because I'm uncomfortable and hormonal I'm hoping to wait one more day in the hopes they get a little bigger and hopefully more mature, healthy eggs. I will have to wait and hear the plan this afternoon, they said it really my blookwork that will determine the plan.

Well, I must get back to work I will check in later!
