Good Luck tomorrow, Margi! I'm so excited for you. Saying prayers and crossing all my crossables. :) Love and hugs to you!

DandMe- Hey there, I cycled with you this summer, and we both had the same unfortunate outcome... BUT! This time is it for both of us, and it sounds like you are well on your way to happy, happy news. So excited for you. I've been watching and pulling for you. I'm scheduled for retrieval on Nov.15. It took me that long after the m/c and d&c to get back on track. I've got you in my thoughts and prayers. I would say the trigger has left your system and this is a BFP for you! GL

I'm such an idiot....I've been freaking out all day and then POAS and it was NEGATIVE. I'm only on day 6 after a 3dt so do you think it is too early? I go on Tuesday for my beta. I feel so down right now. I've been strong through this whole process but I feel like I'm falling apart right now. UGH!!!!!!!

Hope everyone is better than I am.

Freckles

You are way too early please don't get discouraged. I was told I got my positive early and it was 9 days after transfer and you said you are only 6. 6 days is not enough time for there to be high enough hcg for the hpt to pick up. Hang in there you will see a positive in a few days :) And you are not an idiot-this is a tough journey and POAS is so tempting- just give it a few more days and then retest if you wish

I've slept almost all day since getting home from ER. My dh went to a hockey game tonight so we just now got my PIO done. I was soooooo scared about that needle. We did the ice (just like someone had suggested on here) and I can't believe I didn't even feel it. My dh said "okay no blood" when he pulled it back a little after injecting and I thought he was messing w/ my mind trying to make me think it was already in. Then he said "all done" I was like NO WAY. So for any of y'all that are stressing/worried about PIO shots, don't be. They really aren't bad at all.

Can't wait for fert report tomorrow. Amanda and Annie, can't wait to hear your fert report too.

I know I need to do personals. I'll do those tomorrow. I was just so excited that my PIO didn't hurt. LOL I'm a total NUT!!!

Congrats to the ER Trio! You guys did great! Can't wait for your report tomorrow.

Nancy....did you really say it didn't hurt? Do u have buns of steel? My ass hurt so bad that i could barely walk or sit. Although I didn't use ice when I did PIO because I wasn't aware of it. This time, I will definitely be doing it. I'm glad it wasn't bad for u. :)

Freckles....WAY too soon! Test again in a few days. The anxiety of wAnting to know really gets the best of all of us. U are not alone.

Margi....good luck tomorrow!

I'm officially confused :?: with all the abbreviations and the IVF medications.

Most of you are using Lupron... and I don't see that in my list of medications. According to the tentative schedule I was given by the doctor i'm waiting to get my period (AF?) and i'm starting two days after with Follistim. 5 days after is Menopur and then Ganirelix. And this is all tentative...

What is the difference between stims and lupron?....
ER = Egg retrieval
ET = Egg transfer
AFM?
dpo?

Karian - don't worry, I thought for months that AFM (and/as for me) was actually a person so was getting very confused trying to keep up with AFMs posts. Thankfully somebody pointed this out to me and we all had bit of a giggle over it.

Sorry to ask so many questions, but i'm new to this forum and to the IVF. I'm sure I'll have more questions....

Thanks for all your help and support... it means a lot to me and It helps me realize that we are not the only ones going through this. Good Luck to ALL !!!

Osi - 44 eggs, my goodness!! Congrats on a great ER!! Rest up and can't wait to hear your fert report tomorrow!

Margi - Good luck today!!! I'm so excited that you'll be PUPO by this afternoon!!

Annie - Congrats on 6 eggs!! Sorry you weren't feeling too great afterwards but hopefully you're feeling better today and can't wait to hear your fert report.

Nancy - So glad the PIO didn't hurt, woo-hoo!!! Can't wait to hear your fert report too!

Karian - I was on an antagonist protocol like you. Instead of using Lupron before starting stims, I started with stims and then added on the ganirelix.

Ester - YAY for starting Lupron today!! This cycle is it!!

Margi - I'd be transferring 2-3 (at least 2 because of my age but possibly 3 depending on how the embies are looking.) Now let's hope I have at least 2 or 3 that fertilize and grow. :wink:

ER Trio: Congrats x 3!!!!!
Osi: 44 eggs!!! OMG
Rio: regarding your question if DHEA worked, I don't know but I do know I saw a change after starting taking the Royal Jelly. The first time it was an energy boost. And it continued after that. I bougth it at The Vitamin Shoppe. It was the Royal Jelly Super Ultimate Strength, 20.3 ounces gel for $17.99. I was taking two teaspoons twice a day, preferably between meals on an empty stomach with a small amount of water. Among other things, they say it stimulates ovarian function and increases the biological value of the egg, it contains natural hormonal substances that stimulate and nourish the reproductive system. They recommend to take it for 3 months before stims but I just started with my cycle. I also read tons of good stuff about DHEA so I don't know. I tend to do everything I think may help the odds. I wish you the best. I will be rooting for you.

Karin,
Definitely try the ice. I was in tears just looking at that needle and getting ready for it. Dh said "it's going to be fine" to which I replied, "yes, for you it will be fine. You're giving the shot." You know it really goes in more at your hips vs. your buns. My IVF nurse drew two black circles on either side of my hip showing dh where he could stick me. Another tip our IVF nurse gave us was as he rubbed the area w/ alochol prep pad was to push in pretty hard. She said it does something to the nerves. So either that or the ice or both together really worked. I truly couldn't believe I didn't even feel it. Now I'm waiting on my fert report.
