easley4 wrote:Thanks you all for all the encouraging words! I have been reading everyones post and I really need some help with the lingo! I am having Mini IVF oppose to tradional and I was wondering if anyone knows the timeline? The difference between the 2 is the amount of drugs taken. I should start my BCP around Oct. 29 and they said the transfer would be somewhere around the end of Nov/first of Dec (if all goes as planned!)? But what goes on during the weeks in November? I going crazy waiting to start SOMETHING!!! Anyways, thanks again ladies!!!
Waiting is the hardest!!! and you will do it a lot during the process :( If you go to the general info link ( i think) there is an abbreviations thread on there to help with some of the lingo used. I don't think PUPO is on there but it is pregnant until proven otherwise  I'm not sure about Mini IVF or about which protocol you might be following; but I can give you a brief sketch of what I did. I was on BCP for 3 weeks and before I stopped the pills I started shots of Lupron (to suppress) then about 2 wks later we did a suppression check (ultrasound & bloodwork). We started Follistem & Menopure (stimulate) 5 days after that. The time you stim depends on how your follicles are growing. They will do bw & us to check on your follies. A trigger shot is given when your follies get to a certain size and 35 hrs later egg retrieval ER occurs. Depending upon your clinic and situation egg transfer ET usually occurs anywhere from 3-5 days. So more waiting. Ladies if I have left anything out please chime in! My clinic had a class that we attended and they went over the process and then gave us a tentative calendar of events. It was really helpful. You might check with your clinic to see if they offer the same thing.

Bichonmom- wow that's a lot of eggs and good for you for pushing it!!! When is your beta? You will be PUPO soon! I know sometimes I feel almost guilty for going for #2 but I think that most girls in here know that we went through a lot to get #1 also. and hopefully everyone will get their BFP and the girls going for #1 can go for #2 later!!! how many will you transfer?

karenvanc - yep please enter anything you would like in our calendar! and let us know your FET date!

blessedmom- oh we don't have any coverage, all out of pocket, this might be our last chance since we paid out of pocket for 3!

mellow - on the gray box at the bottom of the calendar there is a clickable Calendar : Add/Edit under display month, click on that and add your event! I added your 11/15 date!

krisnjer - congrats to our PUPO girl! Nothing prepares you for the dreaded 2ww don't obssess about symptoms is my suggestion. Some women have them some don't and progesterone can give you crazy symptoms too!

jenmink - yeay for AF!!!! add Nov 10th to our calendar!!!

Sdtrying I am sure labs will be fine, post the results!!! Looks like we will be PUPO together!

leorira - you crack me up with the calculations, i used to think I want a baby on my bday but now I want a baby whenever and I am sure you will get your miracle in 10 mos :) 40 weeks however the heck they calculate this! ;)

How many embibabies are you girls thinking of transfering assuming all goes well?

Hi ladies! :D I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. I am sailing right along in my cycle. Today is day 3 of stimms. I anticipate my ER being early next week.. I can hardly believe how fast it has gone this time and I starting to get nervous.

I feel bad for not posting personals toward everyone but there is just so much to keep up with! I guess that is a good thing - I think November is going to be a lucky month!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well with their shots, ERs, etc. I will try to check in more often so I don't feel like a "crasher"..lol!

Have a great day!

Well talked to the lab today. No frosties  This is so upsetting for so many reasons. I am trying not to freak about it but I have nothing better to do. I thought things were going so well. We had 11 eggs going into day 4. We were able to implant 2 blasts. Please please please let this work. I was hoping for a backup plan with the frosties. We are private pay so if we have to start over I'm not sure when we would be able to do that. I am trying to stay really positive but I like to have contingency plans.

Thank you all for making we feel welcome. How great is it to have eveyone's support here? I love the vibe. Thanks ladies.

Anna'shope: Dang, that is one sorry social worker. Sounds like you went through the ringer. It is a wild ride for sure. Sorry. We were not prepared for it either.

Leorira11: We still believe in adoption, and if the IVF doesn't work out at some point we will return to adoption. We are going to find a baby one way or the other. They say the only way you can fail to get a baby through adoption is give up, and I believe that. But, the waiting kills you, just like it does in fertility treatment I imagine!! And there are big disappointments, like in fertility treatment. And BIG rewards when it works.

Blessedmom: Thanks for the welcome. I love the togetherness.

Bichonmom: That is some serious egg production. Very impressive job. Sounds like a winner to me. Best wishes!

Everyone: Good luck to each one of you.

Baby dust welcome -easley4, lynniecat, karenvancouver, eggandaprayer, blessedmom!

krisnjer - Motherhen, that’s awesome number of eggy, great! So you are PUPO!!Yay!
BichonMom That some serious egg production! BFP is on the way! I am a strong believer in Gut instinct, sometimes its accurate than a Phd/MD

AMF: Back from RE after BW/US. One follicle 14 mm still floating around. My estrogen is has gone up from 110 to 143 even after 20 units of Lupron.
Stopping Lupron from today. Another us/bw on Wednesday, then RE will decide what should be the next step.

Has anyone experienced this.. what should I expect? Does this mean that this cycle is canceled?

At this point I am wishing that my mom was right about where babies come from. It would be so easy, write a letter to a stork and it would fly by my window during sun set and give me a beautiful and healthy baby!

Thank you Rio! :) The 15th is a retrieval for me though...wish it was an FET, that sounds a lot easier. I stopped bcps on Wednesday, so we will get this party started pretty soon. Lupron shots have been a breeze. I remember last year when we did our first cycle how scared I was to do any of the shots.
It's amazing what a little perspective can do for a girl. :)

Hope you are all well...I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with who everyone is, big group! Great group too! Welcome to the new ladies, you are among friends! Good luck!

Hi girls this place is getting really busy

Krisnjer YAY! on being PUPO how very exciting. Try to relax and visualize your uterus grabbing the babies and pulling them it. At least my RE said to try that ..lol

Mellow we are getting closer :D I can't wait. I usually test out my trigger and the hpt's arrived in the mail today so I can't wait to be there already. 1 week until my lining check and I am so nervous. I really need to have everything go well. What is interesting is that my estradol at baseline was 37 (RE said its great) but what is interesting is that my estradol was that low after Lupron in my previous cycle. Anyways we are (God willing) 2 weeks from transfer so I am literally praying and holding my breath.

Leorira how are you?

PS we will be transferring 2

hi all.. krisnjer- congrats on being PUPO....but i also want to say that i get you being upset about no frosties... :( our last/3rd cycle was our first time getting ANY frosties and we feel so lucky.. it's so nice to have reassurance. especially when you don't have insurance coverage for future treatments..

and babydreamz- i don'tthink you're cancelled.. i've been cancelled due to absolutely no progress, and it was very clear, and there was no going back for more u/s or b/w... just "go have sex and see what happens'...YAH, like i felt like doing THAT. and a 14mm follie is awesome. it does only take one :D ...do you have any more follies?? will they cancel if it's just the one?

sorry i don't have more personals...i've travelled back and forth all day for my u/s, and i'm tired.. it's quite the trip-i have to take a ferry and everything.. so i have FETon thursday 28th !!!! i can't believe it. i'm so nervous yet hopeful..

i work for the next couple days, then have FET, then i'll try to catch up and get to know everyone better/ do some personals.. i'm happy to be part of everyone's journey here :)

How many frost babies are you transferring? :)
Hi JenMink-- Let us know how your baseline goes-- I'll be sending you good vibes. So now that I'm a bit off schedule I don't know when I'll be transferring probably the 11th I think, hopefully I'll find out more on Wednesday (baseline for me). I'll post my results. We're only going to transfer one....i work too much to even consider the idea of twins!!

Hi SDtrying

Had the baseline this morning, everything looked great and they told me to start the Estrogen patches and Estradiol Suppositories. We decided 100% to transfer 3 frost babies. I have 5 total frozen so if something goes wrong we will still have 2 left. BUT nothing is going to go wrong!!

So it sounds like you and I are 1 day apart! It's getting close 16 more days for me, 17 for you! I am getting nervous, I am eating everything in site LOL. It's so hard to be patient I have no idea how I am going to survive the 2ww.
