I am back too! news about gender and others

Post by Juliana »

Hi girls,
Just happily sitting composing a message while dp is looking over my shoulderand it sinks in for him how close we have all become and how much news get shared! he just commented it's a very lively forum! Anyway I could not wiat to log in after 2 weeks away! So much has happened but thank god it's been good! I managed the trip to see my father and even some rest in between, also travelled around when in Bulgaria! It was sunny and summery and I also found some clothes which was great! Dawn, you are so right this in between stage is very dificult, can hardly find anything to wear, old pants aretoo small and pregnancy jeans that I bought just slide off!
We told the boys just before we left and I must say they reacted quite well, but sort of indifferently which I guess is because it's quite abstract for them still. They almost did not beleive it until they did see my bump which has became quite a bit bigger recently!
And we got the news from the amnio and both kids are fine so far! What a relief! Now we know they are a boy and a girl! It's all almost too good to be true, so I found a new thing to worry about which is that I don't feel them very often or I cannot tell whether they are moving or my bowels are. I am 19 w 2 days now, so those with twisn out there can you tell me at what time am i supposed to feel them? I have a svan Monday and am a bit anxious that they are still there and alive...
now back to read the rest of your news.
love to all,
juliana

hi juliana,

boy and girl, that is so lovely!

i'm pleased to hear you had a good holidy. i'm just back too. i know what you mean about clothes, some of what i took i could no longer fit into by day three. baby must have had a massive growth spurt!

i can't tell you about twins movement but can say that often i felt movement at the back and partcularly in the earlier 20's weeks. i remember a friend saying once that she was sure she was having the baby in her bum!! i know that feeling now. as the babies grow and expand your uterus you might feel it less in the bowel area and more under your ribs. i know that feeling now too! so, i'm sure it is your bowels moving and it's the babies that are doing it. it's a lovely feeling though isn't it.

look forward to hearing your scan update.

Hi,
just to reassure you about movement. I am 27 weeks with twins and only in the last couple of weeks have I felt undeniable movements that are certainly little feet. I was worried too at the lack of movement at around 20+ weeks thinking I should be feeling more and not being able to tell whether it was babies or trapped wind  From about 24 weeks the feeling gets more prominent and regular. Mine have a mid morning play, then a kick about in the evening too!

goo luck, helen

OOOOOOOOO Juliana how exciting one of each - knew it would be. Don't worry about the boys they never get overly excited about babies unless they look like footballs

Don;t worry about the movements either - I was the same at your stage - mainly flutters and sometime thought was it wind or something though they were low down. These got stronger and stronger and by 22 weeks were getting kicks - now I am booted a lot and can tell which is doing what - I have one head down and one breach so lose out on all fronts. Mine had very quiet days at your stage - sometimes 2 or 3 days and then would go off again - depends how they are lying. Sure everything is fine
Let us know how the scan goes.
Good to have you back
Love
Tracey

hihi juliana, i did post a separate one for you, as i was a bit worried
we had not heard from you for sometime, forgot u were away.
glad u had a lovely holiday im sure it did u the world of good, i can
relate to the clothes situation, when i was about 12wks i had to
buy maternity trousers which were too big and now are too small !!!!!.
How wonderful a boy and a girl what a dream come true, it wont
be long now till u feel them, it was about 20wks when i felt my first
flutter and now (24wks) it is very noticable, the little ones seems
to be more lively in the evening, sometimes im lying on the couch
and u can see the kicking, it realy makes me giggle, its so wonderful
it makes it so real, and last night i put my dp hand on my tummy
and he felt junior move for the first time.
I havnt started preparing myself for the little ones arrival
didnt want to tempt fate, but a friend of mine i was told this morning
had a baby boy 6wks early (both well) so im thinking i should start
making lists of what i might need, you just never know when they
are going to decide and make a grand entry into this world.

Hi, hi,
thanks for your mails and reassuring me about movement! I met so many people who keep insisting I should feel them already at 17 week and I could not!
I had the scan yesterday and it was great! What a relief it is every time to see them and see them move. This was the 20 week scan (19 w3 days actually) and they looked at hearts, growth etc. and everything seemed fine! We were so happy!
In the meantime I had to spend the rest of yesterday in bed as my belly was hard as stone and I could hardly breathe as if the muscles were in spasm. They worried about contractions but since my belly simply stayed hard in the end decided it was probably my bowels which is quite likely. It felt as if I had a stone there instead of the two lovely babies! I hope this would not happen too often as it is very uncomfortable!
Anyway this is nothing and a very small price to pay compared to the joy of them being ok...
Love,
Juliana

Juliana

Thanks for the update and how exciting and thrilling all ok.
Don't worry about the hardness - I get it sometimes - It's a sod!!!! Sometimes my bowels I think and now it's these two taking the same space!
Take care now

Hi Juliana

What a relief for you to see them wiggling around and growing nicely. The 20 week scan is such a milestone and you have got passed it with no problems so hopefully it will be plain sailing from now on - well done!

Chosen any names yet??

Hi Dagny,
I just posted for you on the other thread. Yes, we discussed some names but the problem is they have to work both in Dutch and Bulgarian! It's fun trying to work it out!
Tracey, it's very strange that hard belly thing, never thought it could feel so uncomfortable. anyway, its better now so I am enjoying!
