Anyone else testing on 5th Nov 2010???

Just wondered if anyone else will be testing same time as me??
Had my ET on Monday with one embryo on day five, can't wait to test !!
Had 7 strong day 5 embryos left to freeze!!

There are 4 of us testing on either 11/4 or 11/5 on the Fall Cycle group! I am one of them!

I was actually supposed to go on November 5th, but since I am going out of town that day, my nurse said ok for me to come in on Thursday.

The 2ww is maddening!

Yea it's only been 2days and it feels like forever!!
Have you been having any pains?? I'm in alot of pain an I have been since the EC! Hope it's not a bad thing!!

So do u go in for your test?? They gave me a test to do at home in the morning then I have to call them with the result. Hopefully a good one!!

Im still new to this site and the whole ivf treatment so only kno a few abbreviations, what does POAS or Resist mean??

Phyona: Discomfort is normal (for me) after ET. Your ovaries have been overworked and take a while to calm down. Just be careful not to overexert yourself! I am feeling ok this go-round because i did IUI instead of IVF this time. But I had a severe case of OHSS the first go round and was in and out of the hospital for 7 weeks...it is nothing to take lightly, so take care of yourself.


POAS-means Pee on a Stick--or HPT (home pregnancy test). Some of the women do it obsessively and others hold out until they get their official results. I usually can't wait and want to know as soon as possible so I start testing a few days prior to my official result day. My clinic does a beta level or HCG test in the clinic. Its a blood test, so gotta go it to the office for it. LOL.

So you just do a pee test at home? No way to know how strong your level is then? Do you go in for a blood test if the home test is positive?

PS There is a thread about abbreviations defined, or something like that that you can use to help get a handle on the lingo. It gets addictive once you learn it!

I stayed at home for 2 days after the transfer but back at work today, just sit in a office so im still relaxing!

Yes they do give you a pee test but it is not just a regular test you can buy, it is a special one and they said it is very sensitive... Even if the line is very faint they said it means your pregnant... Im not going to test before i will wait untill the 5th!!

They said if it is positive then they will book you in for a scan 2 weeks after, they didnt mention anything about a blood test, but then again they might of said something when they did the ET but i cant remember!! So much information to remember... i just take each day as it comes and as questions as they are relavent!

So are you going to test before? Have you ever got a positive from testing before?? I think i would be too woried to see a negitive to do that before....

I am actually quite layed back about it all... Im just thinking if it is ment to be it will be!! Just hoping its ment to be!!

I am getting really paranoid, I keep thinking im going to start bleeding! I have been having shows of like old blood from this morning... light brown mixed with the progestrone (Sorry TMI)

My stomach feels all fluttery... im just soooo nervous now!! I just want to know! But im not going to do anything... all I can do is wait untill friday!!

Phyona: Hang in there!! I hear lots of women getting spotting during the 2ww and still get a BFP!! In fact, a woman on the November board just posted that yesterday. She was really worried with spotting the days leading to her beta, but she got a BFP!

I am hoping the same for you!

I get my results tomorrow--since I will be out of town on Friday--I am beyond nervous. I am sick to my stomach with worry. I have been doing HPTs with only negative results. I tell myself it is still not over--not until I get my beta tomorrow, but it is still so hard.

I will let you know tomorrow what happens with me.

Regardless of my results I will be sending baby dust and praying and hoping for your BFP on Friday!! I will be out of town, but will have my computer so will try to check in at some internet hotspot.!!!

I bet it must be nerve racking, but you have to keep your hopes up... i am nervous for you but I have a good feeling and im sending all my positive vibes your way!! I will keep checking the board tomorrow for your results with my fingers crossed!!

AFM - The spotting has now stopped... i was so worried i called the hospital and spoke to a nurse and she has completly set my mind at ease! She said it is very normal to get light brown spotting, if the embro has implanted she said it has to dig its way in and will cause a small amount of blood, or can even be from the cervix! She said not to worry and just try to hold on till friday to do the test!! Cant wait....

My stomach keeps making gurgling noises... Probably my nerves cuz its been doing it since last night and im not hungry...I booked the day off work and so has my DP... I think he is more anxious than me... If we get a BFP we are going to spend the day celebrating!! Cant wait!! Only 2 more sleeps to go!!!

Hi! I am also testing on nov 5th but am really nervous. I have had so many disappointments that it is hard to get excited.
I have now done 4 fresh IVF cycles and this is my 3rd FET. I have never gotten a positive on a beta and have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Good luck with friday, i am keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

I transfered 3 blastocysts. The quality they said was good as well. I am hoping friday is going to be a beautiful day for all of us! I have 6 frozen blasts left as well...
