AFM: I'm really bad at writing personals, but I'm here every night!... I don't want to keep telling my DH the same thing, and reading everyones posts makes me feel better.... I feel like there are a lot of other people out there that understands me and are going through the same thing. Thanks for being here!!!

There are a lot of us, Karian..... a lot more than I ever thought possible. I recall a time about seven years ago when my ex-boyfriend's friend's wife decided she wanted another baby. All I remember is my ex telling me that she decided to get pregnant so she went stateside and had 'something done', and ended up with twins. I remember thinking it was strange and interesting, but could not ever in my wildest dreams consider I'd be where she was. And here I am. Well. Except that she has a set of twins and I am praying for anything with a heartbeat.

Symptoms anyone? I'm having a very strange symptom.. never really had this one before. All I can smell is my dog. And the garbage (that was taken out hours ago). I mean, it's GROSS. Nobody else smells anything but it's driving me batty. I am having my carpets cleaned on Friday.

I have some mild lower back pain and tiredness and some tenderness in my breasts.. However... those are all par for progesterone so I'm not gonna freak about it.

Sonya......my SIL and my BFF said that enhanced sense of smell was one of their first symptoms of pregnancy.

Annie......I can only imagine how frustrated and mad u must be right now. (((HUGS)))) I agree with the other ladies. Look for a clinic that does 3 Day transfers. So sorry.

Afm.....nothing much. Just really irritated with people in general. I bought tickets for Justin Beiber months ago for me, Hannah and one of her friends. I asked her mom before I bought it and she said sure....she could go. I told her the ticket would be $170...she said ok. Hannah called her today to confirm our plans and she's not going....WTF???? Who does that? Shouldn't she have let me know a few weeks ago? So...now I have a ticket that I paid for and the concert is on a school night. Hannah has asked a couple of he friends and they can't go. Now what do I do? I am so pissed! The mom is a flight attendant and wasn't home. The dad was the one that got on the phone and said she wasn't going because it was too expensive. I think the mom would do it. The problem is...I can never get a hold of her. This is the kind of wishy washy sh*t
that drives me crazy! Sorry to *****.....but damn......

Annie - I'm really sorry to hear your news and agree with the others that your clinic should have the flexibility to do a 3dt or 5dt depending on how many embies you have and how they are doing. Please try npt to dwell on this too much though. A 3 dt may not have worked either.

Osi - no betas. Man, that would drive me crazy. Mind you, betas drive me crazy too. I guess that means I'm just crazy.

Beta girls - fingers crossed for you today.

Sonya - you get two msgs cos your a beta girl too. I've had some odd smell things going on. This morning I emptied one of my cats' litter trays (and promptly gave my hands a thorough washing before you all panic!!!!). All day I have been smelling cat poo. Even though I had a shower and got changed after changing the litter tray. The stinky poo smell followed me on the train and to work. Ugh!!!! Then I was walking down the street and a guy infront of me farted. I nearly puked and had to push DH out of the way to get out of smelly butts downward wind! Gross!

Sorry about the short personals. I got home late from work and now it's time for dinner.

AFM - had my u/s today. One little bean, although there was another sac which looks like it might have given up the ghost. All's looking good - measured in at 7 wks 2 days. I'm 7 wks 4 days so that's all good. Little tiny heart was pumping away. I must admit that I'm a little bit sad and disappointed that the second embie didn't make it but I'm very very grateful that the one embie is going strong. So no more RE clinic for me. I have to venture out into the big, bad world now and find my own obs.

Sonya - I agree with your "anything with a heartbeat" comment! After 1 chem & 2 e/p's, I'm sick of BFPs that result in nothing but pain. I want to see a beautiful heartbeat or two this time!!

Hi ladies. I"m still doing the AF dance. Today will make day 9 on Lupron. Anyone wait this long for AF? I started on CD21. My nurse told me between 4-7 days AF should come. My last cycle it took 7 days. But I was on 20 units that time...this time I'm only on 10 units. Should I be worried? Cause I feel like AF is coming, but nothing. ggrrrrrrr. Even put on my nice panties.

I love your new picture, Karen! I have a hard time getting my period when I use progesterone. It took me 3 weeks after the expected date to finally get it. Even with some Prometrium the nurse gave me. And, even then, it wasn't like a normal period. Hang in there.

Rio, sorry for the delay in answering your question about Royal Jelly. I didn't start taking it until a few days before my cycle. It helped with my energy level and since it is a natural thing, I went ahead with it. But let's keep hoping for a natural miracle.
Annie: I am so sorry but what everybody is saying about the 3 day transfer is true.

Yeah! AF arrived today! Woowhooo! Will go for bw and us on Thursday. If all looks ok will start stims Thursday. Thank goodness!

Hi Everyone !!

My name is Michelle or Chelle. I am sooooo new to this! I so dont understand all the shorthand on the boards.

Friday I had my mensus and called my IVF office. I went in yesterday and they did an ultrasound and blood work. Then sent me to a lab to take even more blood work.

My husband had a vasectomy years ago, and he had a biopsy done a few months ago. And now we are starting the whole process.

I am so nervous and so excited! What a rollercoaster this is!

Any information would be great !!

oh and a place to understand the short hand, would be fantastic!!

Karen - yeah for your AF arriving! Great news.

Chelle - welcome to our very busy board. Here's a few answers to the acronyms.

AF - your period
DH - dear/darling husband. Note: first letter sometimes changes!!!
PUPO - pregnant until proven otherwise. This is when you embryo transfer has occurred and you're waiting for the pregnancy test. Also known as the 2ww - 2 weeks wait.
ET - embryo transfer
ER - embryo retrieval
u/s - ultrasound
AFM - and/as for me. Your opportunity to share what's going on for you. I was a bit of a ninny for the first couple of months and thought that AFM was a person!
FET - frozen embryo transfer

Just yell out if you need to now what anything else means. It's a bit daunting at first but you'll soon get into it. Don't worry if you struggle to keep up with everything that is going on - that's normal. There's loads of lovely ladies on this board and lots happening. So, if you've got questions, don't be shy to ask. There's a wealth of experience sitting on this board and everybody is really cool about giving support/advice etc. Klinger (Amanda) works very hard at maintaining a list of what we're all up to. You'll find that under most of her posts.

AFM - it's 4.30 am and i haven't been able to sleep since about 1.30. Arggghhh! Brains working overtime. Ah well, I can sleep in an extra hour in the morning as I have to take Pickle the Pug the vets.

crap crap crap fickedy crap. I got my period. I knew this was going to happen, 28 days after I finished my first pack of pills and went on to have AF even though I was still taking another active pack. I have a baseline US and AFC scheduled for Thursday, meds come tomorrow and I was supposed to start my cycle on the #2 day after my period.

Have any of you girls done a cycle with no BCP? This is my first one and I am trying to figure out if I am canceled until late November or can I start sooner? I have a call in but I think the doctor is gone in a conference and I am freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
