Sonya: Woohooo!!! Congratulations mamma! I understand your reservations in celebrating, but you need to allow yourself some relief and positive feelings. You have worked so hard and been through so much...you deserve this!!! And with your smell sensitivity and other symptoms, I am feeling that this will stick strong for you! As you said, worlds are about to change!!! Yours included. I am so happy for you and look forward to a wonderfully rising beta on Thursday! :D :D :D

Kaylie and Baby_blu: I'll say it again: Congratulations!! :D

How awesome...all three of you ladies getting BFP on the same day! Meinemo you are next!! And then next week we will have a PILE of BFP!!!! The Baby Dust is everywhere!!! 8) I think we will be exploding the Pregnancy after treatment board in a very short time!!!

Tess: So happy for you. You give us hope that this can all actually end in our going to a OBGYN like "normal" women....but we will never be normal. We are especially strong and have been through so much more than the average pregnant woman could ever imagine. Take care and please keep us posted.

Annashope: Sorry you are feeling a bit down. Please keep up the PMA--there is so much around right now it is awesome. It is our time...you, Mellow and I are our own little trio and I can just feel that we will all be celebrating before the end of the year. 40% is great. I have a much lower chance with IUI and I am just praying and giving it my all. This Fall is IT for us. Let the baby dust wash over you...I can't wait to be fretting with you about swollen feet and other ailments of pregnancy!

Michelle: Welcome!!

Crystal: Triggering tonight...woohooo...here you go! PUPO before you know it now.

Nancy: Wow. Transferred 3 on a 5 day! Look at you and frosties too! Excellent. Rest up! Let those embies snuggle in tight! :) You are PUPO!!! Congratulations...

Tammy: When you are back, you are back! Love it! Sorry about the storm, but glad everything turned out ok. Sorry about the stress with stimming, but remember it is quality not always quantity. I will be praying for you. And your little houdini...my goodness! Has he figured out your phone yet? Maybe he'll discover some great new technology and make a fortune?

Riogirl: I was so in the same boat. I was really excited leading up to my cycle, but as soon as I actually started--that very 1st night--I got majorly bummed and worried. I too suffered through beta hell-twice-once with ectopic and once with miscarriage. I think the "harsh reality" of what could happen hits when you get started. But, try to brush it off...gotta put your energy in a positive place and center yourself and believe that this time will be different. This time you'll get the BFP and it will be real. I will hope and pray that all goes well on Thursday. I also started a cycle knowing I might have to cancel if all wasn't going well...but I made it and here I am: torturing myself in the 2ww!! You gotta get it together, because I am gonna lose it before the end of this week I think!

Lou: So happy to hear from you again. Especially glad that you will be starting up again in December/January. What a great way to kick off the new year. And I relate with you about the anniversaries...those are so tough. My heart is with you.

Amanda: How are ya holding up? You seem so calm like a cucumber! I think I need whatever was in your lunch. So glad we had all of this great positive excitement to keep me busy today.

AFM: Hanging in there...trying not to obsess about things--but gosh its hard. I start to analyze every little twinge.

What a wonderful night!! So many strong women!!! So happy to know you all.

Well I am totally happy and guess what - no urge whatsoever to poas! LOL How great is that.

I'm so thrilled that all three of us got such great betas today. That's so awesome that nobody got sad news. With such strong numbers I can only assume with some great amount of happiness that we should all do well on Thursday. Hey, does that mean we all have the same due date? July 5th here!

Lou - it is really wonderful to hear from you. I'm wishing I could help with the drugs. I have leftover Bravelle but we are holding onto it in case we need another cycle, and it's not what you are looking for, is it? I'm not so sure I understand your doc's reasoning, either. Perhaps it's time to get a second opinion?

Morning ladies!! I'm still so excited about our BFP trio from yesterday!! :D Can't wait for great 2nd betas tomorrow!!

Crystal - Great news on triggering last night! Hope ER goes great tomorrow and let us know how it goes!

Osi - Good luck with ET today!! Let us know how it went when you get a chance (I think you're a few time zones ahead of us so you may already be done with it today.)

Margi - I'm hanging in there! Still feeling pretty calm, but it's still early. Only 8 days till our betas girl, woo-hoo!!! So when are you starting your POAS? I am going to TRY to hold off until Tuesday (that would make me 9dp3dt) but we'll see if I last that long though. I can't make any promises LOL.

Lauren - Good luck at your SnS today! Hope you get a great report on your follies. And I loved when they added in the Ganirelix cause then I knew I was getting closer to the end of stimming. And I did all abdomen shots (I've got more cushioning in that area if you know what I mean. :) )

Lauren1171 - After all this waiting for the D&C I sure hope they don't have to cancel you. Drink lots of tea with lemon and rest up and hopefully that sore throat will go away.

jennieswa - YAY for starting your estrogen patches last night! Not much longer till your FET!

rio - Good luck with your stimming if you're still starting today! And I'll be hoping that Thursday's appt goes great!!

Meinemo - 2 more days!! Did you decide to POAS again or are you going to hold off till the beta?

Good Morning Everyone!!

Hope everyone had a great night.

Question .. When I see baseline, what does that mean? I guess I am refering to baseline and BCP. I was put on BCP 2 days ago, but I dont know much about baseline. I looked at my test results from my bloodwork and I dont understand any of it. I will do some research today too and see if I can better understand it.

Also, has anyone had a saline injection sonogram? I am scheduled for one next week. I decided to do that instead of the hysteroscopy. Any thoughts?

Well I added a signature, so I am settling in great! Thanks again for making me feel welcomed !!!

I want to add my congratulations to all three of our new mamas! What a great day for IVF miracles!

I've been POA since Monday (all negative). I'm 11dp3dt today. The negatives on Mon/Tues were getting me down, so I was going to stop htp testing, but then this morning, I thought about how awful it's going to feel on Friday, when I'm in the office, getting a negative beta surprise over the phone. Facing facts today will give me a little more time to accept the finality, I think. Now, there's still a little hope, but not much. Is it wrong to look forward to drinking at the Halloween party this weekend? :?

Michelle - Your baseline is just that initial u/s and b/w when you're starting your IVF cycle. They'll check the number of antral follies (AFC), check for cysts, etc. I did the saline u/s and it was a piece of cake. Just like a regular u/s but they also inject the saline and watch the u/s screen.

Meinemo - Hoping like crazy that you get that wonderful BFP phone call on Friday! It's definitely not over and while I too must POAS eventually, those sticks can be evil and may not show positive until after the beta...you just never know. And while I'm keeping my PMA up I personally already know what my plan is if I get a BFN. Sad isn't it??? But if that BFN phone call comes in, I'm going to go to 7-11 to get myself a pack of cigarettes, followed by a trip to the liquor store to get the fixin's for a great deal of really dirty vodka martinis. I will wallow in my disgustingness of drinks and smokes for a few days while crying buckets of tears. Then the Monday that follows I will join a gym and start working off all the weight I've gained in my TTC'ing. That is my plan LOL. :)

Kaylie - Your first beta is great! What's more important is that they rise appropriately in subsequent draws. They should double (or some say increase by at least 66%) every 48-72 hours.

Congrats on all the BFPs yesterday!!!! What a refreshing thing to see on these boards!

meinemo....PLEASE don't get down yet. It's ok to face things with a realistic point of you, but please keep some PMA in there. As I'm sure youve read, there have been ladies that got a BFN on a HPT the morning of a positive beta. Don't give up.

Chelle....Welcome! Baseline is just the bloodwork and ultrasound that they use as your baseline to compare your results in the days to come. So if you had blood drawn and an ultrasound with AF, that would be the baseline. I had the saline injection ultrasound....left me kind of crampy, but not too bad. My DH was in China when I had it done, so I took myself and drove myself home...so obviously it wasn't THAT bad. Good luck! Glad you're getting yourself all settled in!

Karian and Kelly...I'm still doing the AF dance for you! I hope she comes so you can get going! Isn't is funny how badly we want AF to come when getting started! I was never so happy to see her show her ugly face!

Margi...I hope you're hanging in there....don't overanalyze...just remember all the drugs!!!!

Lauren...All my stims were in the belly, but my ganirelix was in the leg. How fun to have ER coming so soon!

Lauren1171....I'm so glad your appt is FINALLY here. Sorry about the throat. I hope you get recovered quickly from everything and I look forward to seeing you start up again soon!

Crystal...Congrats on triggering!

Jennie....We would have had our FET on the same day if I didn't get bumped a week :( At least we can be in crazy town together for 1 week...then I can see your BFP to keep my PMA up!!!

Lou...I'm glad to see you back and that you have a plan to move forward. I have a FET scheduled for 11/18 and as long as I am preggo I will have left over Follistim. As long as you don't mind waiting to see what my next move is. If you get some in the meantime that would be great, but I'll let you know as soon as my plan is better laid out. I wish you the best of luck!

Tammy... Don't get down on the follies! You will be okay!!!!

Sorry I don't have time for more personals, but it's time to watch a King Tut movie with my students! Hang in there everyone!!!!

Sonya, Kaylie and Babyblu- Congrats on your BFP!!!!!!!   Such awesome news! I knew this group would be full of babies! Someone needs to start a Fall 2010 Pregnant after Treatment group! I can't wait to join it! I wonder how many twins this group will have? My last cycle group there were 4 (me being one of them)! I am hoping for twins again now that I have a new bionic cervix!

Kaylie- yes a first beta of 123 is awesome. My first beta was 71. I ended up with twins.

Lou- Hi there my friend. I've been thinking of you this week. Honest to goodness, I was thinking to call you! So be on the look out for a call from me! I'm so happy you guys are going to keep trying! I don't understand your doctors reasons for not doing PGD. I know each RE is different. Sorry if I seem pushy. I just want someone to help you with all the tools available. PGD done properly does NOT damage embryos. I suppose I'm spoiled b/c my RE is a leader in the world of PGD. I just know it worked for me...and I'm turning 40 in two weeks! I'm doing it again this cycle and plan to transfer two blasts again. My due date was yesterday, so I know the sad feeling. Had my cervix not failed my precious twins, they'd be with me right now. Yesterday I thought of them all day long and sent up a special prayer for all the babies who left too soon. Any who... We are all going to cheer you on! I don't think it would be a bad idea to see another RE for another opinion. Maybe one that promotes PGD and works especially with women with "supposive" diminished ovarian reserve (doesn't seem like you are "diminished...maybe reduced...but dont "diminished"...that's such a harsh word!!!). I take as much of Follistim as you (450) and I am not considered DOR. Also, I asked my RE about being more "fertile" after a m/c or birth and he believes there is no truth to it for women who had regular menstrual cycles before. He said sometimes a woman's hormones will be more stable for 2-3 months post m/c or birth, but after that, if you had menstrual/hormone issues, they will return. So in dissecting what he said, I suppose there could be some truth to why your AFC was higher (hormones). If I have any Follistim left after my cycle I'll send it your way for sure!!!! I'm not planning on needing it! :)

ChelleDe- Welcome. I remember being new. I was soooo nervous and blissfully ignorant about what I had gotten myself into!!!!! I had a saline sonogram twice. Once when I first started IVF (13 months ago) and one last month b/c I was preggers with twins but lost them at 23 weeks. It isn't too uncomfortable. For me the speculum is always the worst b/c they always have to change sizes and that is the most uncomfortable part i.e. getting it in place so they can see the cervix. The purpose of it is to make sure the uterine cavity looks ok. Very important when doing IVF!!!!! A baseline is to confirm your hormones/ovaries/uterus are behaving like they should be so that you can start your next cycle medicine. Like tomorrow I go for b/w and ultrasound to confirm the Lupron suppressed me properly (it'll indicate that in my hormone levels and how my ovaries look). If all looks like it should then I'll start stims. I wouldn't obsess too much of trying to interpret your bloodwork. That's what the doctor is for! Unless you just really like to know. I don't. I have enough to worry about!!! :) I would also recommend doing acupuncture, fertility yoga and/or visualizations (meditation like). They really help keep you more balanced, relaxed and positive. Check out http://www.anjionline.com for downloadable meditations. They have some just for IVF patients.

Tammy- yeah for stims! Everyone is sending you tons of baby dust! I'm starting stims tomorrow! wooowhoo!

Crystal- congrats on triggering! Almost time to go get those babies!

Osi- Yeah for ET. You are just about PUPO! Just rest and give those embies time to implant!!!!!

Lauren- so happy to hear your stimming is going well. Grow follies grow!

Meinemo- don't count yourself out sister! My first beta was only 71 and I think if I had POAS at the point where you are now it would have been negative. I did a POAS the afternoon before my beta and it was only a faint line. Sending you PMA!

Rio- how are you? Are you doing stims? I start tomorrow! So excited!

AFM- going to b/w and u/s tomorrow to confirm that I can start my stims! woo whoo! So darn happy and excited to be one step closer to getting my baby! PMA, PMA, PMA...I keep reminding myself! Now I'm going to go bake up a storm in my kitchen. It's rainy and I'm trying to stock pile my freezer in the garage for when I'm not feeling up to cooking after ER, ET and of course, when Im pregnant!! :) BTW, Anyone else live in Northern NJ?
