How do you find a surrogate in the UK?

Post by Vickyp »

Hi all

We did IVF 5 times and were finally successful with our baby boy in 2006. Since then I have had two miscarriages and a natural pregnancy. We still have 4 embryos frozen and are very keen to use them but I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in August so I am not sure whetyher it would be wise for me to be pregnant again - particularly as it was oestrogen receptive. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about surrogacy in the UK - how to find one and any experiences of course would be really helpful. I am really very upset by the thought of having to destroy my embryos and although I have recently extended the freeze time from 5 yrs to 10 yrs, the 5 yrs is up in April and after this I believe I can only use them myself or donate them for research. I don't want to put myself at any increased risk of recurrence - which I fear may be the case if I am pregnant again but I also don't want to destroy my embryo's. I could of course donate them before April but that is SO soon and I will be most likely be infertile after chemo. Any help would be really appreciated - Sorry to go on so long! Vicky

We were from UK and had no joy for 5 years
Message Yes we thoroughly recommend treatment in India. we did surrogacy there 10 times! So from this experience we can safely say to others that you're wasting your time hanging about in the west!
There's a lot of info and detail that you can search for Bobby and Nikki on the web.
oh and if you are white and still need an egg donor, relax, most couples who do surrogacy in India are white and most couples who need donor eggs are white too and happy to use Indian donor eggs. Your names will be on the birth certificate irrespective of whose eggs or sperm was used.
Your baby days will soon be upon you if you can shake off wrongly negative perceptions by those losing business to overseas clinics.
Be brave and follow our lead.

We have a baby daughter after 14 years and second baby due in Aug 2010

Surrogacy program in Asian countries like India is very cheaper and economical. If you are thinking of India you can try at Rotunda The center for human Reproduction. Think of rotunda with surrogacy, surrogacy India,Gestational surrogacy India, what is surrogacy and surrogacy costs.

We would like to WARN about the services of IRTSA and the clinic NeoMed that they use.

We have recently gone through an process that has been like a period of hell. All our mail conversations is saved and in the future we will start a blogg and present how their responses change from the initial contact until later when we were in the middle of the treatment, depending on them and in their hands. Their treatment were, according to several doctors that we have contacted in our home county Sweden, proved to be dangerous to our donor. Right now we are exhausted from what happened but would like to WARN everybody from using there services.

We are looking forward to the birth of
our son and we are preparing his room.
We are very happy, that all is well with Tatiana, our surrogate mother.
Now we are waiting for the birth of our son.
When you write that he is born, Thomas will fly as soon as possible to
Kharkov to sign all the papers.
Now to our program. We have tried 4 times to get a child and it was not
successful until the last time. It was very hard for us for the three times
it failed.
Also we only got mails from the clinic, which said that the pregnancy faild.
And now to La Vita Felice.
We are in great parts very happy with your service and the communication
between us especially with your part in this.
In the end we are very happy that we started the program and that it was
successful. We are thankful that you provide such good service to people
like us who wish to get a family.

Hi there,
When I saw the message of irene got surprised a bit. How did Chernobyl influenced your decision? Because I know that there are many clinics with success rates that are high enough. And really a huge amount of infertil people become parents in Ukraine. And I hope to be one of those people  Our surrogate is pregnant and we are looking forward for the biggest day! the day when our little angel will be born :D really can`t wait it..
good luck to all future parents :D
