AFM- I keep learning more and more from you ladies... I am still so new to the ivf world that sometimes someone says something and it makes me start thinking, like why didnt I ask my Dr that or why didnt I do this.... Anyways I have 2 Fibrous cyst and now reading some of these post and it is getting me nervous... My Dr watches them but never made me feel they could cause any issues... Should I look more into this??? Does anyone know if this is going to cause me to have another bad cycle??? I also keep thinking how my Dr wasnt 100% sure that this FET would work since the 1st one didnt but I decided to still try another FET cause I felt like I was giving up on those embies... I new if it didnt work with these one's I would start Fresh and hopefully get a fresh cycle instead of a Frozen, I just didnt want to throws those away with out giving it one more chance... I am so new to this that I just went with my first feeling and that was too try another FET... Well I am glad I am on such a great board with so many great women you have all helped me get through my 1st try and I am hoping I will be Preggo soon with you all...

I just can't keep up on all the personals right now. There's so much happening with everyone. I'm happy to be one of the bfp's but will be even happier when that list grows with so many other deserving women! I'm very happy, however I know how fast the rug can be pulled out from under me and I am just hoping and praying that I get through each huge hurdle.

The entire cycle is the first hurdle. Just getting through it all with decent results... then the embryos developing, getting the daily results and finally the end of that chapter - the transfer.

Then you wait. You wait for a positive test, either a hpt or a beta. And then, you wait again. For the second beta. When that's done, you wait. Wait for either more betas or the ultrasound.

Your chances of miscarriage go down to something like 20% after a heartbeat is detected. Did you know that? And if you get past the 12th week, (or ten for most), your chance of miscarriage goes down to 5%.

Yes, I'm anxious about the beta - but happily anxious. So far all the hurdles to this point have been cleared without any issues. I guess I'm looking for a beta of at least 280, huh? I'll be going in earlier this time so I'll have the results before noon by the looks of it.

Oh... only odd thing... I'm having 'muscle' cramps. it's not uterus cramping, but the muscles around the uterus. When I am sleeping, and go to turn over or go pee... or am bent over my desk, looking at papers, and go to stand up... I have to move slowly or it feels like the muscle is tearing, or is sore from a really tough workout. Any ideas on this?

I've been getting this too...and they said it was normal...though check with your doctor...because it could be something else with the lower back pain...maybe a kidney infection? I get lower back pain...but thought it was due to my bad back...I had back surgery 3 yrs ago. Do you go back today, too?

Lauren...I don't know what the reason for the Ganirelix in the leg is. When I read my information packet it said it could be done in the stomach or the leg, so maybe it was just to give my belly a break??? How did the weather pan out last night? Anything too bad?

Osi...Congrats on being PUPO....rest and take care of yourself! What are you supposed to POAS? You don't get a beta right?

Tammy... I hope you were able to get some answers regarding insurance coverage. I hate the wording...it is left open to so much interpretation! We didn't get any storms....just a TON of wind! I have crazy branches all over my yard and I actually found 2 shingles on my driveway this morning...uh oh! The pup HATES the wind....he just hides between my feet and won't move...then as soon as we get back inside there's a mess to clean up....ahhhh the joys of puppyhood! Too funny about Zach...whatever keeps them happy right?

To the 2nd beta trio....can't wait to hear those numbers rising like crazy!!! Keep us posted!

AFM...nada. I wish there was something new to report. 3rd week of 20 units of Lupron sucks. Can't wait for Monday to hear if I am supressed so I wills till be on for November 18. I'm a little nervous about a FET on the 18th because my mom has Thanksgiving at her house (about 40 people) and I usually do a LOT to help. I obviously won't be doing anything 1 week post transfer and everyone is going to be asking a million questions about why I'm just sitting around while my mom and sister do all the work. I'll have to come up with a good lie....thrown out back perhaps?

Sonya: I completely understand your discussion about how the worry goes from one thing to the other. "Hurry, worry, and wait." Thank you so much for the (reassuring) data about when the risks go down. I had no idea it dropped after hearing the heart-rate. I wonder if that is still so for the "older" gals like me? I'm gonna try to read up on that. Do you have a website to recommend? And regarding the pain--as Tammy said--ligament pain indeed.

Tammy:So glad you got things figured out. Hope that the extra day of stims did the trick! Sending positive vibs and grow follies grow!!!

Amanda: Wait until Tuesday? Who me? I warned you I would be hitting Crazytown hard and fast! I tested this morning--and before you fuss at me--just to make sure it was a negative so that I could safely say my trigger was out of my system. And, I got the negative I was hoping for. So--we shall see how long I go without testing again. Tuesday would be very logical. I am no where near logical at this point.

Rypell; I am so sorry you are on those shots still. Ugh. You have very determined ovaries! It's going to be tough with your FET timing - my entire family knows what we are doing. Half don't care and the other half forgets. Just my mom, my kids and their girlfriends really keep up on my progress. It's partially because they are pretty wrapped up in their own lives and partially because we have had so many losses. I suspect they feel we're crazy for trying over and over. I hope you come up with a good answer. Perhaps you can do some of the work while sitting... you know.. peeling veggies, icing something or chopping?

AFM I have the beta today and am nervous but excited as well. I'm pretty sure things will be good - and agree with Tammy.. it's got to be round ligament pain. it's just so bad so early.. maybe I'm pregnant with twins! There's got to be someone who has a double whammy, right? I've never had it anywhere near this badly before. I am seeing my doctor today.. I'm going to inquire about an ultrasound at 5.5 weeks as well as my clinic's standard 7 weeks. My DH was crushed when we had the two previous blighted ovums, and I'd just really like to see a yolk sac or fetal pole so I can go to the 7 week u/s without being totally worried. I'm tougher with this stuff on some levels. If there's nothing there.. at least I can... you know.. be prepared. I'm not sure if my gp can even order anything or if he will (small town - limited appointments for the u/s). But I'm going to try.... even though... the chances of three blighted ovums in a row is pretty slim! LOL I'm rambling!

DandMe- Sounds like round ligament pains. I had them early in my last pregnany (it was twins!). And my lower back really hurt...especially the sacral joints. The back pain subsided at about 8-9 weeks until I started to get big. Perhaps you are getting two for one this time!!!! Good luck today!

Hi ladies. Had my u/s and b/w this AM. The doc said my ovaries look good (about 8 antral follies on each side) and looked like the Lupron did it's job. Have to wait for the official call, but it looks like I'll be starting stims tonight! Yippie! So darn excited! I keep having this feeling like I can't believe I"m doing this again, but I know it is going to be soooo worth it! Also, my sweet and lovely hubchop sent to me this article about IVF (and PGD). I'm sharing in hopes that it will help those who need it. Sending a big hug and positive energy all today!

Sonya...Do you want to know the funny part (not funny haha by any means)....my ovaries don't even work! I do not ovulate. Each month my blood work shows that I do no ovulate, hense the IVF. So now, when I thought this woul dbe the easy part, they aren't cooperating...now suddenly they don't want to be shut down!? How frustrating! My mom and I were talking about this last night, and I was wondering if it may be because they are still feeling the effects of the stims a month ago? Who the heck knows! You seem so educated on all of this and I admire you for that. I am going through this blindly and I wonder if it doesn't bite me in the ass sometimes? It all goes back to December when I was trying to schedule my HSG...when AF came the nurse said that the RE was going to be out of town and we would have to wait until my next AF. Well when my nest AF came, I was still bleeding when my HSG rolled around so they pushed it back a week....why could they have pushed it back a week the month before?? Then I asked if we could start in April, the same month as my trial transfer and they said no because RE wanted a month in between. Well by the time my next AF came around I had 3 dormoids. I feel like if I were more educated or more confident in all of this I could have stood up for myself and had my first IVF last April. Now the year is coming to an end and I haven't even had a transfer yet. I have insurance coverage and with my surgery my deductible is met for the year. Once we get into Jaunary, I start over again. Sorry for the novel....long story short, I wish I had you knowledge and voice through this whole thing!
