booze and fags

Post by Bronagh »

Hi,

I've given up drink tea and coffee since FEb for me the decision was to mazimise my chances, as there seemed like there was so little personal control we all have over things it was one of a few things that you could do for yourself. That and eating properly. I can see how the 2nd or third time around you see things differently .....and everyone has there own way of coping with it.

Its May now and this is my 10th week of my cycle, yes life does seem to be on hold . I still work and have a social life but there is an underlying push down the day to day reality waiting in the backgound. When I read of people going through this 7 times I just dont know how that is possible .

But each to their own.

Anyway enough musing, let the roller coster continue. Well done those who have got a step further without droping off the roller coater and those who feel that they are holding on with their finger nails..............................................do something nice today :)

Bro,
with twiching ovaries and second scan on Friday.

Hi All,

Once again thank you all for your good wishes. Been an emotional wreck today, & feel a bit guilty because I should be happier. Had ET today @ 12 & was again extremely nervous as this is my 1st attempt. We had 2 embies transfered & it was amazing seeing them on the screen beforehand. Have to use 2 pessaries per day also.

When we left I did feel happier. Just don't know what to do with myself now for 2ww. No doubt I will find something to do but time will still drag.
Our test day is 7th June, hope I can wait.

Hope things went well for you Shellie & Nice to be joining you Shelld. Hope everyone else is getting on well with their treatments. Thinking of you all.

Loadsa Hugs

another step over

Post by Bronagh »

Christina,
WEll done in getting over the next hurdle .IF I get that far I've decided not to try the pee sticks I was reading on another message board with people doing it and you could tell that it was doing their heads in and getting overly stressed................they say that on the 2ww it can feel a bit wierd as there is no more tests and fussing just waiting.

Anyway bye for now.

Hi Bro

Thats exactly how I feel although at this minute I am determined to wait until test day & not test myself. But guaranteed nearer the time it will be soooo tempting to try it but I will try my best to wait. You will reach this stage soon, what stage u at now? Will be thinking of you. :D :D :D

Hi Girls,

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. :D I don't post much as I've been though this all before and with a new job recently I don't have that much time to post - but I have been reading and keeping up with you all.

I've just had EC today and they managed to get 4 eggs - which is good for me. So just have to hope for 2 good quality ones for ET on Friday. We are doing assisted hatching this time (5th go) to try and help them stick around.

I hope that the sun keeps shining so that we can have a bit of a relaxing rest it will make the 2ww more bearable.!

I will be keeping an eye on you all

(ps hi Caz, don't know if you saw my congratulations post - but so very pleased for you babe!)

Hello girls.

Well I've made it to the 2ww. :) :) I had my ET this afternoon. 2 good quality embies were replaced. One grade 1 and the other grade 2. I guess it is up to mother nature now. Christina,, how come you don't test until 7th June that's a 3ww! I test on 31st May. I feel positive today but am sure I will drive myself mad as I am not working the 2ww.

So that's 3 of us on 3ww and Sharon soon to join. Good luck and I hope you get some good fertilised eggs. I don't think I will use the pee sticks either. I would rather have a few more days thinking I am pregnant before finding out for sure. Although by the end of the 2ww I might answer differently.

I seem to have more cramping and discomfort today than I did on the day of EC. Is this normal?

Good luck to all

Hi Girls

Don't post much so its hard to keep up! You all seem to be doing well....Bronagh, still here I see.......you must have developed the patience of a saint!

July ann - Glad DI went well..........I am day14 today and no sign of anything........no mucus so I have to go for a scan on Friday........I think it is the drugs from previous cycles give me the really long cycles!

Good luck everyone

Hi Shellie,

Glad everything went ok for you. I am the same as you, the cramps got worse after ET and are still the same. I am feeling quite miserable as they are extremely uncomfortable. I don't know whether this is normal or not so if anyone knows please inform as i would really appreciate it. As for testing on the 7th June well I thought that was a bit long aswell. Now that you've said your testing on the 31st its making me think. OH no I am all confused. Only into day 2 of 2ww & already going insane :? :?

Well I hope you feel ok & good luck.

Best wishes to everyone else on this rollercoaster.

Thinking of you all

  HELLO MCB's - I'm BACK

Wow - I have spent the last hour catching up on all your progress - BRON - Hoorah - finaly on stimms, thank the Lord!! :P
It seems there are so many of us now so do excuse me for not being "all there" at the moment

Well, a quick update for you! I had EC on Tuesday and they collected 15 eggs (marvellous) - 11 of those were good enough to go ahead and place with DP's sperm - got the call yesterday from the embryologist to say that 9 had fertilised and they were pushing ET on to Friday as they can ensure the best 2 will be placed back in the extremely bloated belly I have at at the mo  - Anyway, I have had the worst gastric problem since EC and my poor DP - well all I can say is that he must love me to put up with that - I am still a bit tender (a bit light on my feet) - certainly wouldn't wanna go for a run that's for sure. So hopefully I shall join the 2ww crew tomorrow! It's all happening so quickly now!

Well, I do look forward to reading your posts and am now back on line daily to keep up with you all.

Big hugs and baby dust to all

Love

Hi girls,

Well what a great day for the sun! Whenever I have time off it always rains (I'm renouned for not bringing much luck in way of sunshine) but today I actually caught the sun. So my time off has started well. I'm hoping to have all of next week off but then go back to work for the last 5 days of the 2ww, just want to get past the implant stage really.

Christine and Shellie - you mentioned about feeling more uncomfortable since EC and unfortunately that's to do with the progesterone - horrible things not looking forward to them from tomorrow. Anyway, twinges and crampy feelings are all part of the 2ww so try not to dwell on it too much.

Nickie we will hopefully be on the same day! Good luck for tomorrow

Just keeping figures crossed for 2 good embies tomorrow. I'm having acupunture before ET so hopefully that will help settle them in.

Hope you are all relaxing and drinking plenty of water.
