I was working at the hospital today. (I volunteer every Thursday and sub when needed) I work in the mother/baby unit. I went to take out a baby that was in the nursery and that usually means it stayed an extra day for something. I get there and the lady picking up the baby is a social worker from social services. She had to be in the wheel chair just like she was a new mom because that's the rule. She was taking the baby to a place for 24hrs and then it would be taken to a group home. Then they would decide if he would either be in foster care or up for adoption. She wouldn't share details of the parents or why. My heart was broken for this little baby. Here he is 3 days old and is not going home with his mom. I was tearing up so bad that I had to go to the bathroom after she left to get myself together. I told her that in would take him right then and there if she'd give him to me. The poor thing was awake the entire time looking around as if he was wondering who she was and where was his mom. He wasn't crying....just looking around. I came home and told DH and started crying again. Now all I can think about is that little boy. How can his mom let this happen? She's supposed to protect Him. Maybe I'm just being over emotional because of AF and the lupron.

Tonight I'm praying that little baby is given to someone that gives him all the love he deserves.

Karen- i work in labor & delivery and yes it is a very hard thing to see moms who come in with no prenatal care moms who are drug addicts and those who leave there babies! What I like to think is that those babies while here get the love and care of the compassionate workers and that they are given to couples whom have been waiting years for a baby...its tough and its ok you felt the way you did! I hve seen some really good stories and placement of babies but it is still hard to watch a mom not care and ask urself why?? Why would she do this? Why cant I have that baby?

I just wanted you to know its normal how u were feeling..i see it all the time and get upset!

One week down 7 days to my test, I'm reading in to every twinge, tender breast, sick feeling it's a nightmare.
I've been having lots of period pain stlye cramps and am a bit 'leaky' checking every 10 seconds that its not blood.
is it like this for everyone??

also anyone got any advice on thing to keep hold of my enby?? and signs that are good things??

what kind of percentages did you guys get given of success? my doctor said between 10% and 32% chance of success which is pretty disheartening. I'm trying to say positive but it's really hard!!

I know I ask a lot of questions but I'm terrified and I've had lots of visitors but no one really understands.

I'm really sorry but had sooo many people asking...........I am a response officer (the officer that turns up when you call 999/911) so not really a lite duty kind of job but - not jumping the gun - but if everything goes to plan I will be moved in to a office based job doing investigations which is fine by me! I just want to keep out of harms way!

The stories you guys put on about babies being remove by social services ..............I have taken out protection orders myself and removed children from unconsious mothers ODing on many occasions. I've also been standing guard on a day only baby girl who was on a protection order as soon as she was concieved.this woman has 13 chldren all by different men!!!
I really struggle to see the justice in life I'm not greedy I'd be happy with one!

Klinger , sonya & tammy-- so I am home from work and the RE. i have a total of 12 follies at least 10 of them are around 15m ..2 bigger than 18 so he said one more day ER most likely mon...im not sure what size means mature??? Anyone have any input on my count? I appreciate it:)

Karin...Yes....20 units for 3 weeks. If I am FINALLY supressed on Monday then I will drop to 5. I am HOPING and PRAYING! I am going totally insane on all of this! I'm happy that we will only be a day apart though! Ugh....I totally understand. My best friend is currently taking care of a little 11 month old baby girl. Her mom decided 2 months agi she didn't want her anymore. How do you carry a baby for 9 months, then raise her for 9 months, then change your mind??? She is the most beautiful, easy going, happy baby I have ever met in my life. My friend isn't in a place where she can actually keep her forever, but I just keep thinking that this poor girl was with her mom for 9 months, my friend for 2 already, then she is just going to get shuffled again when an adoption goes through? What crap that is! I want her, but DH isn't on board. What would I do, adopt her and put her right in day care? I'm still saving all my days for a maternity leave when I get pregnant....I can't take time off to be with her then my baby in 9 months, you know? I just don't get people. Apparently this mom has 3 more children that she gave up prior to this little girl. My friend and I are throwing her first birthday party because every little girl deserves a first birthday party.

Sonya...Congrats on your second beta! That's awesome news! You are so right, and I am getting a lot better. I just kick myself because I should have asked more questions when I was cancelled.

Tammy...I'm so sorry you have this extra worry hanging over your head. But think, if all the eggs are in the rigth side, it's going to be bigger than normal, and hopefully easier to get to. And, maybe the doc will try a little harder to get to it. Usualyl if all the good ones are on the left it's no big deal, but this time its a matter of eggs or no eggs, so he just has to try! But Zach won?! What was he?

Crystal...Congrats on 15 eggs! That's awesome! Can't wait for your fertility report!

Lauren1171...I hope you feel better really quickly and get to start those stims!

Rio...You're totally right...I'll tell everyone I have back issues then bend down to pick something up....I could totally see myself doing that! I'm so happy there was no cyst!

Lauren - I know I'm new to all this but I think your follie count and sizes sound awesome!! By Monday I would think those around 15mm will be ready to go. Can't wait to hear if you get the go ahead to trigger tomorrow!

Ryann - Yeah, once I realized that I'd probably cave earlier than my original plan of Tuesday I figured I'd better just POAS now to make sure my trigger was gone. Now I know if I see a 2nd line in coming days I won't have to wonder if it's remains of the trigger. I sure hope your appointment Monday goes well and you can drop that Lupron down to 5!! And boy, these stories of babies these mom's don't want is breaking my heart. I'd take any of those babies in a heartbeat!!

Hi Everyone!!

I only went back a few posts, because it's so hard to catch up if you miss a day.

Things are good here, busy for me. My step daughter is in band and in October we have so many band competitions. In fact we have a football game tonight until 11pm, then leave Saturday morning at 3am for a Band Competition 3 1/2 hours away. And stay there all the way through Tuesday until Midnight because we have another Band Competition on Tuesday. Craziness! But I love it. I love the comradery and the teenagers. They are great!

I haven't posted, but I have been doing a lot of reading on the boards and learning so much. I am really trying to focus on eating right, taking my prenats, and cutting back on caffeine. I think once I get back from this trip there will be major overhaul to my diet!

Also I have been having these "moments" where I can imagine my child in the back seat, or I can imagine him as a teenager/pre teen in the passenager seat. Its amazing to feel like there's a spirit around. .. maybe I am being hormonal and sentimental

Does anyone know anything about asthma and ivf. I have not been the best over the years taking my advair and singular. However, I am thinking of taking them ever day to get my asthma back under control. However I dont know if that would have any affect. I did some research and it doesn't seem to be.

Anyways. I am not sure if I will get a chance to post until Wednesday when I get back. So Good luck with all the FET and ER and Follies, and BFPs and all the numbers !!!!!!

10 is great!! I, too, had 15 eggs retrieved. 14 were mature and 10 fertilized. We ended up transferring 3 (two grade B and 1 grade C) and ended up with one frostie.

Rio -- I'm taking DHEA 25mg 3x/day also. That's what RE told me to take and what my limited research showed. What brand do you take and where did you get it? I bought mine on-line at Walgreens. Did you ever have any hormone levels drawn such as DHEA, DHEA Sulfate, or Testosterone? I did not and RE told me it wasn't necessary but I know some do and I'm wondering if it matters. I'll have to pick up some Co-Q10. I ordered online some Wheatgrass and Royal Jelly. It's supposed to come today according to the tracking number. So for this cycle, you didn't do BCP's right before stims, correct? Did you have any down regulation at all? Estrogen priming? Yes, I do use Menopur. My RE said he didn't want to change anything from my last cycle since I got 7 mature eggs and 4 blasts from it. I started with 22 antral follicles. I took BCP's for a month, then AF, then stims with 450 Follistim and 150 menopur. Ganirelix was added when the lead follicle was about 14 mm. I stimmed for 8 days total. I'm concerned that with the DHEA that the BCP's won't suppress me. I'm also interested in Estrogen priming... but RE said he doesn't do it but would if I really wanted. I'm wondering if he knows the protocol even....lol.

AFM -- I'm reading along and cheering everyone on, just not posting as much. I will be back to cycle in late Dec/January, by then most of you will be finishing your 1st trimester! I posted a few days back that I am in need of Follistim, so please keep me in mind if you are willing to donate your leftovers that you know you won't use. I'm 100% self pay and worried about funding my next cycle. I also use Ganirelix and Menopur. PM me if you can help. If anyone else has any DHEA experience you are willing to share, I'd love to hear it.

Crystal - 10 is wonderful!!! Have they said anything about whether you'll do a 3 or 5dt?? Congrats on a super report!!!

Michelle - Maybe you should call the RE or pharmacist to find out about the meds. I have a couple I take for allergies and they looked them up to find out what category they were in. The category determines whether it's safe during pregnancy or not. Most of the time, that information isn't available to us as consumers.

Ryann - Your best friend sounds like an amazing woman. How did she end up with the angel? Is she a foster mom?

Lauren - Follie sizes sound great! Fingers crossed for your Monday ER!!!
