Hi everyone -
Sorry if my OB office and last minute crazy news has you all rethinking your anatomy scans!
How are you all doing today? Its now day 4 of being overdue and theres nothing going on at all. Guess boys are more stubborn than girls? I mean Hazel went 11 days late? Hmm, maybe. I cant complain though, I seem to be feeling pretty good considering how big my belly is now. the only thing thats gotten really bad is my swollen akles, insteps, toes and now its going up my calves too

- pretty, huh? You know those Crocs clog shoes that are so big and easy to just slip on to take out dogs, or go grab mail? well I had to mash my feet into them before!

So, umm, I dont think they could swell anymore than this - at least I hope not! Ok, so i suppose that being told the wrong gender isnt as uncommon as I thought, I've heard "oh, that happened to a friend of mine" from 3 people plus you girls. I had to correct Chris twice today when he said "she". They he said maybe thats why this baby doesnt want to come out - because we've been calling him a her -haha. It is a little weird though, I mean I was a bit sad to pack up girls clothes and try to get used to the idea of a boy instead, i mean dont get me wrong, we're happy just to have a baby, a healthy baby, but when you spend so long thinking of a girl to dress up and wants to help in the kitchen, and put stickers on everything, and doing her hair all different ways - and now its like a total turnaround and I'm wondering if I'll remember to pay attention when changing him - who hasnt heard stories of getting peed on? and now I guess its all about trucks, bugs, dinosaurs and sports. I'm eager to meet him already but I caught myself before ready to say Savannah when a cashier asked if we had a name yet!

Tomorrow is the day that Chris has to go in even though on vacation for a long day so I plan on doing as little as possible - cause that would be the only day that I DONT want to go into labor! So keep em crossed for me guys, ok? Oh, and I did a dumb thing - I looked up c sections in the pg book, to find out that OBs like to do c sections on women over 40 because they tend to not dilate well on their own - Arrgghhh! At least i didnt make it worse and start Googling, right? But now of course I keep thinking about that. I hope it either happens naturally or that being induced works for me- just as long as nothing happens tomorrow please?
Steph - How are you doing honey? Please tell me that you're not overdoing anything? The house can get picked up later, I hope that you're not pushing yourself too hard too soon. OK? I hope that you were able to get some sort of routine going with the two super cuties and they're not running the whole show and running you ragged - yet. lol. Hang on mama - tomorrow is friday and then Andrew will be home to help - whew! And i'm sure that Alex is more than willing to make it easier on you also. Just try to rest every time they let you, ok? much love - xoxoxo
PA - Yes, we are happy to have a boy, its just weird to have it thrown at you like that after thinking pink for 5 months! I think your Peri is confusing IVF & IVM - but I'll change you EDD to feb 11 as soon as I finish this. It makes me wish I had pushed harder for another u/s but they just kept telling me it wasnt necessary since I had no signs of spotting, BH, cervical shortening at all. Well no, BUT there was something that WAS worth noticing!! sigh How are you feeling now?
Angela - Yay for 32 weeks! and for a NST that went great! Thats too funny, and I've heard the same thing from 3 others - I guess he was hiding the goods when I was 18 weeks, although having a u/s student in the room probably helped distract the tech, and I do know that the baby was bouncing all over that day since she had a real hard time getting the measurements. Eeek a 13 lb baby - oh honey dont scare me like that! when I'm so close lol. ow, ow, ow!
How are you feeling today? yes, tomorrow is friday so I know lately thats got to be your favorite day of the week
franca - yes, it sure was a big surprise! I'm glad your girl really is a girl! And she's growing so well too 1lb 6oz is great! Ugh, those ligament pains arent fun, but so much worse if you move too fast, you havwe to remember to get up slowly, turn over slowly, and bend for things slowly - that was the part I had a hard time with too.
Gi - I was like stunned when they showed us the penis! It took me a few minutes to even believe them! And then I must have asked like 5 more times "are you positive"? And yes, I think you're right - this one may be a little fecker - hahaha. We know he's stubborn though! Chris thinks he's happy to stay inside cause he's mad that we've called him a girl for 5 months lol. And oh yes, we'll hold onto all things pink, cause you never know if we could be blessed a scoend time. We can hope at least. haha so you gave your Dr a hard time to make SURE that Kayla is still a girl -too funny! How are you feeling mama? You getting close now too...
sara - Any word on your date yet?
Babyluv - I'm so glad that you're feeling good now and sleeping pretty good - I'm having the same reaction - so lets not jinx it, right? You are so close to being 36 weeks now! You can do this! Its just easier when you dont feel miserable, isnt it?

thanks for telling me Alex's circ story. Poor guy having to have it done at 20 months though. At least he was still young that it didnt traumatize him. bless your parents they sound like angels. it makes me wish he had some just like yours! Hang in there twin mama - its almost time to meet your babies! - xoxo
