Crystal - 10 is wonderful!!! Have they said anything about whether you'll do a 3 or 5dt?? Congrats on a super report!!!

Michelle - Maybe you should call the RE or pharmacist to find out about the meds. I have a couple I take for allergies and they looked them up to find out what category they were in. The category determines whether it's safe during pregnancy or not. Most of the time, that information isn't available to us as consumers.

Ryann - Your best friend sounds like an amazing woman. How did she end up with the angel? Is she a foster mom?

Lauren - Follie sizes sound great! Fingers crossed for your Monday ER!!!

Hey baby blu - Do you have another beta test or are they just doing your u/s next?? Just curious as I do not have another beta. My U/s is scheduled for 11/15. Kinda hoping my numbers are going up and aren't going down. I wish I knew!! LOL!

This is our first IVF cycle so my knowledge is limited but I'll share what little I do know.

SnS = stick and stir. Some lady came up with that here on this board (long before my time here) and it stuck. It refers to when you go in for u/s and b/w while being monitored. That was one abbreviation I couldn't figure out either and had to ask not too long ago.

As far as when you have ER after starting stims it all depends on how your body responds to stims. I think the "average" for doing the trigger shot is around day 10 (seems like I read that somewhere) but there are so many variables it's probably not a good idea to go on any "average" Once you start stims, you'll be going in to your RE A LOT for SnS At each one they'll check your estriadol level and do an u/s to see how the follies are growing etc....

Kelly...YAY for AF!!!! I stimmed for 9 days when I did my fresh cycle. That seems to be the norm, give or take a day.

baby_blu....She ended up with the little girl because her BF's brother is friends with the mom. She told him she didn't want the baby anymore and he told my friend. She stepped right up and took her. So they went through a lawyer and the mom has signed papers stating that my friend is the temporary gaurdian for the baby girl. The adoption process is starting and I'm sure she'll find a good home. If she doesn't, then I'm taking her...no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Crystal...10 is awesome! Congrats! I had 4 and was pumped!

Michelle....DH and I have those moments all the time....we just imagine what it would be like to have a carseat in the backseat....ahhhhhhh I can't wait until I really do!

Kelly - YAY for AF arriving!!! Like Nancy mentioned, people's stim times vary. I stimmed for 11 days but I have only one ovary and it needed some heavy duty coaxing. LOL Once you finish your stims you'll do your trigger and then approx 36 hours later, have your ER. So you'd want to add that couple days between stims and ER into your estimate too.

baby_blu - Yep, test was stark white so trigger is gone, yippee!!! Can't wait to see a 2nd line soon!!

Bakers - SNs stick and stir, bloodwork and US, mine was 9 to 10 days after

freckles - check with your OB or RE sometimes they can order another beta to make you happy!

babyblu - isn't the wait for the first US almost as dreadful as the 2WW? Very excited for you!

Lou - my nurse ordered more menopur than I needed so I might have left overs, don't think I will have left over Follistim, are you only looking for unused follistim, cause you know you can get more than 300 out of them, would you be interested in partial or just new? Do you use crinone or oil for progesterone? I never got blood tests for that other stuff. My first two cycles I did BCP up till stimming, this time I had a cyst on BCP and she took me off BCP until I got a natural AF and started stimms on day after AF and it all looked better than ever! No estrogen priming. If you pm me your email I can send you my calendar and meds for you to look over. I also have ganirelix this cycle so if all goes well and you are ready to cycle I might have meds.

crystal - 10 is great gosh I would love to have that number of fertilized, good job!

chelle - go to your doctor, Pulmicort is the only "safe" for pregnancy that I know, albuterol inhaler is fine I was told to not do adviar or singulair

Ryann - bless your heart for throwing the baby a 1 yr old party, so not fair. Sorry if I seem harsh but some people should be not allowed to have babies. To give up 3 babies and have more, or to be a drug addict and have 5 given up (my co worker adopted one and he has major issues because of pregnancy drug use). Seriously it pisses me off to no end. And here we are struggling to have one.

Lauren - they want to trigger when they are around 18 I think, good job!

Amesy - eat pineapple that's all I know! Glad you can take it easy when pregnant!

Karin - same as Ryann post, how can they do that? Sorry hun.

Tammy - stay away from your cat! I am glad he is going to check before putting you under, sorry for the stress but it will all work out and try to keep the PMA!!! Miracles happen every day!

AFM - I got major PMA today and I am so excited to be working with a new RE and I really feel like this is going to be a good cycle and I will get my BFP and healthy baby! The meds have changed a little and doses but I am hoping that is the ticket! Anyone doing Femara (letrozole)?

RyAnn....u sound just like me. I want to save them all. I have another niece with a drug habit and my sister has custody of her kids. I've told her over and over that I'd take em. My sister takes good care oF them, so I know that they're ok. I would have taken that baby yesterday without blinking an eye. The worker said that there's lots of people willinig to adopt babies like him. I just hope that it happens quick so that he can get lots of love. You have such a big heart for giving that little girl a party. I hope that she finds a permeant home soon.

Afm.....I saw my RE this morning for u/s. He said everything looks great! I get to reduce my lupron tomorrow to 5 units.....YAY! And start my estrogen patches. My ED goes in on Monday and if everything is good....she will start stims!

Bakers...most go average 10 days...though I had one cycle go 12 days and the next month go 6.5 days...when I switched to menopur. Are you on menopur? I've noticed that lots of girls go quicker on that. Yayy for AF.

Lou...I opened a new 600 follistim yesterday and used 125 units of it...they always put around 700-725 in each cartridge so there is still almost 600 units in it. The problem is that since it was opened on the 28th...and you have to use it within 28 days...that would be by Nov 25th. Heck, I may be on a new cycle by then (hope not, but I have a feeling) and will still be able to use it...however, anything I have leftover from next time...since it will be our last chance for sure...is yours. Heck, I'll see if I can persuade the nurse into ordering me extra, I am pretty good at telling them what to do now. lol

Ok, for those who asked. We have made a family tradition of going to 2 costume contests each year...and have won 3 yrs in a row so far...and have made a couple of the papers around here as well. The Dog n Fry Basket Costume is last years and the Peanuts Gang is this years. Yes, my Lucy wig lost its style. lol Oh and we got rid of all the tape...so it looks better now.

Yes, the other costume contest is tomorrow at 2pm...and my retrieval is at 8am. And, yes...I will not only make it there for the contest, but plan to take Zach trick or treating at 6pm as well. Just watch me...I will not let Zach down!

ETA: (edited to add)...Uhm, Okay...I changed my mind and I removed the pics and decided that it would be better to post them under the "parents after treatment" board on here...just in case some of you girls arent in a good place and dont want to see them...which is completely understandable. I've been there. It just didnt feel right posting them here...sorry if I offended anyone already. xoxo

I agree with Riogirl. Only Pulmicort is the allowed asthma maintance medicine and no singular. I had to use Pulmicort, Proventil, Claritin and Rhinocort instead of my other meds as they are all considered "B" list medications.

I would check all meds with your RE or GP before using.

amanda- no, i'm sorry, i'm still just taking lupron. af was due today, but no sign of her. i remember the nurse telling me i'd get it in 11 days from the startdate of lupron, which will be tuesday, the 2nd (my b-day!). but i also remember her telling me that it won't delay my period, so then if that's the case, i should be getting it any day now. we shall see! it's all about waiting, right, lol?

i will do personals soon! i'm very overwhelmed w/ school & this time of the year is insane between b-days & the holidays coming up.
