Love it Rio! Yes, I am hanging in there. I am fully armed with a drawer full of HPTs! Ok, well not quite that many, but I am ready. I will be testing fairly regularly from here on out since I am clearly "trigger"-free.

Freckles... I am not getting another beta.... my numbers are really comforting and it's just a couple weeks. I should get my u/s date soon, I think it's on the 17th, same day as blu's.

Hey ladies I am from the November thread and I have question for ladies with PCOS...

I have PCOS and have been on 1000mg of Metformin during this whole IVF process (and before) and Dr wants to keep me on it for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy if I am actually pregnant. I have found a couple of articles stating that Metformin decreases the miscarriage rate from about the 50% range to about the 10% range and that it is not found to cause any birth defects. I haven't really found a lot of research on it so I am just curious.

So my question for all the PCOS ladies is are you also on Metformin and if you are pg or have ever been pg were still using Metformin during the first 12 weeks?

my sister in law is due to give birth monday ( 2nd child - concieved naturally lucky lady) she's been tols to eat a whole pineapple monday to bring on contractions??

Hey Kris,

I have PCOS and Endometriosis but I couldn't tolerate the Metformin it made me really ill but I was recommended the same over here in the uk by my consultant! If you can keep taking it!!!

Also when you start your gonalF (follicle stimulator - sorry don't know all the abbrv yet as this is my first cycle) you will fine that because of the PCOS you will get monitored more than most as we at high risk of hyper stimulation (http://www.patient.co.uk/doctor/Ovarian ... ndrome.htm).

I had my dose halved after two days, so be prepared it not a bad thing, I thought it was but actually if you hyperstimulate too much they have to stop your treatment!

Also due to the massive number of follicle (most of which wont have eggs as too many are stimulated) your ovaries can swell lots and be a bit uncomfortable also you may find that it affects your bowel movements (10 days without!!!). I had lots of follicles but only 6 eggs (which was very disappointing) all fertilized though only two were grade 1 (A) one of which is in me now....... pregnancy test due friday and the other is frozen (frostie).

I am feeling down today. The 2ww is the worse part of the whole process. I am bloated and windy. Was get very mild cramps yesterday and day before but I think that was from the ET. What should I be feeling? Does everyone get implantation cramps and bleed?

I feel soo defeated already and I have another week to go before I POAS

Hey Osi,

I am in the same place as you Hun, I had my ET on Friday 23rd October 2010 on my 2WW so I know what your going through.
I'm reading in to every twinge, cramp and sore breast driving myself crazy. I had period pain like cramps for the first week no bleeding but they stopped yesterday so I've started panicking.

This is my first cycle so I don't really know what to expect but I keep getting told "there is nothing you can do it's all down to the emby and nature" which doesn't really help but it's true. Try and keep positive your not alone!

Osi - Try to stay positive! Most people do not have implantation bleeding or cramping (some docs don't even believe in it.) Everyone is so different, it's hard to say what to expect. Any symptoms we feel this early on could very well be from the progesterone so it's just the waiting game at this point. Just keep sending positive thoughts to those embies!!

Margi - Yeah, I know...my willpower melted like an igloo in July LOL. So are you POAS daily now? I am and I got a faint line on an internet cheapie this morning. It was faint, but DH saw it without me pointing it out (that's my true test of whether it's just my imagination.) I tried to confirm a little later with a FRER, but I'd already dumped my FMU after doing my cheapie (what a dummy) and the FRER using SMU shows no line. So today's results at 6dp3dt are inconclusive. Tomorrow I'll make sure I do both tests with my FMU and see what we get.

Amesy - Some people say that eating some pineapple the first few days after ET may help with implantation. But, yes moderation is key because it can cause uterine contractions. I didn't do the pineapple thing, but many on here have.

There's a lot of debate about implantation spotting - many RE's doubt that spotting has to do directly with implantation! However.. most women won't know when the embryo implants, and the gas can be caused from a number of things.... You will feel a lot of things over the next few days and they are all normal.

One of my first 'signs' was lower backache...and moodiness. I become very bitchy at the drop of a hat and that's not like me. Try to keep yourself distracted with lunches with girlfriends, movies, projects around the house... it's going to be okay and time will pass before you know it. Are you going to test out your trigger?

Kliinger - As long as you have some concentrated pee you can use a frer this early... just try to hold out at least six hours, and don't drink a lot of liquids during that time. Same thing as FMU. I go to the bathroom several times a night so FMU is useless to me. I'm really hopeful about the line regardless - test again later today???? LOL Send a pic of the IC? Bwwahahahahah I am worse than a junkie, I have to see everyone else test too!!

I am super excited..i dont know what my chances or how many eggs I will gey w/13 follies but I hope its great:) hope u got some rest..ive been exhausted and im not the one prego! I forget are you going for another beta or just u/s? Ur numbers have been awesome
