Katie, now I know how you all felt when I went more and more overdue, didn't post for half a day and you all wondered whether I was in labour, lol! Really not long to wait for you now though, I'm getting so excited for you.

Going to be a big week for babies on the thread - good luck Katie, Sara and Hope, I'll be checking in to see your news and photos!!!

AFM, thank you all for your kind words about Dad. DH and I are staying with Mum until after the funeral (which is on Thursday) and then she's going to come home with us for a while, which I'm really pleased about. We have pretty much made all the funeral arrangements and chosen the hymns and readings etc, and we made the last of the phone calls yesterday to tell people the sad news. Mum and I are holding up, although it hits us both periodically and we go to pieces, but I think we are largely still in denial and just distracting ourselves with practical tasks - we are going shopping today as Mum and I both need something to wear. Mum doesn't have anything black or dark in her wardrobe and I still can't fit into any of mine because I'm still 30 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight! So Andrew is going to be in charge of George while we try clothes on. George is doing great, and starting to smile and chortle all the time. He's also starting to follow us with his eyes all round the room, which is very cool. He is changing so fast, and he and Mum have totally fallen in love with each other, as she's been able to spend lots of time with him in the last few days. It's so sad to think that Dad won't see him changing and growing up, but we have to be grateful that he was able to meet George at all. I don't have a great deal of religious faith, but it's at times like these that I hope he is up there somewhere looking down on his grandson.

Hi everyone -

I'm still here and waiting. I dont really mind today since I wasnt too crazy to have Halloween as a birth date. So just waiting to see what time the OB says to be at the hospital on tues I guess. This one is way too cozy in there, and lately seems to be on a weird schedule of 11pm is Fight Club Hour where my bladder and cervix are the opponents - haha. Two nights in a row with this, all day its just regular squirming around, but whatever is setting him off at 11pm, I cant figure it out, I'm usually laying in bed reading, so I wonder if this one will be a night owl? So to add to the fun, of course the water pump just decided to lose pressure and die - hey, who needs water right before having a baby, right? And forget trying to get a plumber on a Sunday! Chris is going to see if he can get it going (yeah, right good luck with that) so I have a feeling that all my last minute laundry, wash floors, wash dog is disappearing quick - sigh. The timing blows! I just hope that we can get someone to fix it tomorrow.

Sonya - OMG, you were 1 month overdue????? you poor girl you must have been soooo miserable! my OB says they'll only let you go about 1 week over your EDD because he said that the placenta is "exhausted" by 41 weeks, so i'm eager to get past this part and see who's been in there kicking me all these months. I knew your betas because I check the Fall cycling thread often, I have a few old cycling buddies that I'm keeping track of to cheer them on. i do think you should push for a earlier u/s date especially considering how long thay had you wait last time, dont they understand how nerve wracking IVF is? Glad to read that you're feeling more relaxed and you should be, this IS your time!!!!

Steph - Whew! I sure hope that the dramatic portion of this over with already, It was more than enough to see a surprise last minute penis, now no water til maybe tomorrow? Thatshould cover us drama wise, no? I'm just praying for a routine L&D at this point, with NO visit to the OR, please! And yes, both of us have been slipping all week asnd saying "she" "her" - we seem to be taking turns at it lol. I'm glad that little Angelina is happily gaining weight, Ethan was bigger at birth, so he's doing great weight wise, but his circumcision story - grrrr! maybe theres just still swelling? its only been 2 weeks, its possible. I certainly hope that it was done right and wont cause him a problem in the future, I refuse to even contemplate him needing corrective anything yet. But it sure did make me think about getting Ryan's done, but I feel the benefits outweigh the risks. Especially as teens. it makes me want to be there when they do it. I was able to observe a circ during nursing school and the little guy's dad watched from the doorway and was obviously soooo not wanting to be there. I handle things better than Chris who I think will get too upset, but we'll see - I keep hearing that everything is different when its your own, so maybe not?
Ummm, I read youre post last night and was fuming over the Commander going on leave - again! Oh, so he sure makes time to sign off for himself, huh? jackass! Well, if you all can deal with being PCS'd to anywhere for 3 yrs, it sure would be better for the whole family to be sure of no deployments for a solid 3 yrs. I mean to keep him in a holding pattern like this isnt helping his carrer or his stress level! I think its a good move. But is Andrew positive that he can deal with whats estentially a paperwork job? Will he be bored out of his mind? Everything changes and now that he's a daddy, its important that the family come first, so maybe he'll appreciate a more laid back position - we know he'll be so happy to get out of this FUBAR'd unit already! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you come up on a post that you both like. yes, I'll cross for CO - you never know, it could happen. How are you feeling mama? it sounds like you're all settling in just fine. I'm so happy for you all. rest when you can, much love to you all - xoxoxo

Angela - Whew, your OB is wonderful to want to induce at 39 wks! I have to say that the last 2wks have been the hardest and you get to skip them ! yay! Theres only so much uncomfy you can be before you just get grouchy ( I'm real close to that now) Luckily I'm so excited that its been keeping the grouchy under wraps. Rest up as much as you can this today, or was today the game? How is your nursery coming along? just about done now? - xoxo

Natasha - No, havent heard anythinf from emerald in a long time - hoping that she's just been super busy and that all is well. Yeah, this baby is surely on his own schedule, not ours haha. But if nothing by Tues, then he's coming out one way or another. we decided on Ryan Christopher. I cant wait to meet him! Ok, so not too much longer til you'll get a school break, are you enjoying it? I was such a geek, I really enjoyed the first year more than the clinical portion. Is Nataleah kicking up a storm?

Hazel - Its wonderful that your Mum will be coming home with you two for awhile, I have the feeling that little George's smiles will work wonders on healing you both. I know Thursday will be hard on everyone, but I do believe that he will be looking down and keeping a watch on you all. I hope you can find some comfort in that. There really arent words to take youe pain away, only time can help with that. Big Hugs to you my friend - xoxoxo

Katie; we have no real idea if I was actually a month over... they did dating ultrasounds and my due date was April 4th the entire pregnancy (this was in 1990).

On the 17th, the doc said he decided my due date was the 21st.

On the 29th, he sent me to be induced.

On April 30th I checked into the hospital - to be induced on May 1st... but I went into labour naturally the morning I was scheduled in. My baby was 10 lbs and very advanced for his first year.

Who knows how long I was really pregnant - I know we tried for only three months and I have a cycle as regular as the day is long... All I remember is wanting to get that baby OUT by the end of it. Having my due date come and go and then having another one come and go was pretty much making me insane. I could not reach my feet to put shoes or socks on by the end of it.

Hi ladies,

Katie good luck with induction tomorrow or are they just checking you and giving you a date for the induction??? I am sure you are more than ready to hold Ryan

Sonya i too have been religioulsy following your journey and due to your later times for lab results and my time difference i always had to wait a day later to ck your beta results. They look sooo good this time and i truly feel this is really it for you and dh, its been a long hard year for ye but you never gave up and its gonna be so worth it. 3rd time is your charm xx

Ray best of luck tomorrow and i hope and pray a safe and healthy delivery, i am sure you are fed up of bed rest but the end is sooooo near!!!!!

Hazel my thoughts and prayers are with you and your mam this week xxxx

Steph ah poor little Ethan, circumcision is not the norm here so i really dont know anything about it but i hope he is and will be ok.

AFM so all the treak and treaters are gone some were really cute dressed up, i brought jasons little nephew to a few houses with my doggie (dressed as a warlock). Yesterday was the 1st day i have felt "heavily" pregnant and as the day went on i was feeling lots of pressure and my pelvis was so sore, today its much better but hopefully she is getting ready to come soon, the latest i am allowed go over is 10 days so she will def. be here by the 26th Nov (mams birthday!) Jasons final for his football match has been moved to our due date Murphys Law she will arrive that day ha ha its been 7 yrs since they were in a final and i suspect our little rascal will mess up his plans!!!

stephanie- I no It just dawned on me that I havent heard anyting since she delivered so early at 26 weeks or so. How are you? in heaven=) I bet twins keep you pretty busy. We were hoping for twins this first pregnancy but we'll try another cycle in a few years if we're lucky. they are so precious;)

katie- I was dieing to reach these clinicals to finally learn the info i actually needed and i didnt think it would be this much work. But im getting through it. Nataliah is kicking these days like crazy. we think she has days she wants to kick her way out. its unbelieveable. one day andre had his head on my stomach and she actually kicked him in the face it was hilarious. he didnt expect it atleast not as hard as she's been kicking. she keeps me up some nites that she poking me constantly. But its all worth it atleast i no she's moving. It's been weird though i thought the first time i'd feel her kick it would be a flutter as they call it but not with her it went from nothing to a strong kick. but i guess everyone is unique. I finally got andre to like my middle name i picked so its definitly nataliah isabelle. =) you pickedout a nice name yourself. did you kindof have an idea already of what you guys wanted? it took us forever to come to this name.good luck tomrw at your appt. =)

what do you ladies use for your strech marks? just wondering because i have no idea whats a good product or not.

Stephanie – I certainly would call him and tell him what the pediatrician said. That is ridiculous!

Natasha – No, I am like Stephanie … I haven’t heard from her either and it makes me a little worried also. I truly hope her baby is doing ok. I use Palmers cream for stretch marks.

Hazel – It is great to hear from you again! I am glad that you have some of your father’s plans in place for the funeral. Once again, I am so sorry about your loss but I am so happy that you have each other to lean on. Your mum is really going to need to lean on all of you for support. I think it is a good thing that she will be staying with you for awhile. I think George will definitely help everyone through this difficult time and I am sure your dad is looking down on everyone right now.

Katie – So another day is down and he still hasn’t decided to show up yet. I think you said that Tuesday is the big day! Yeah!!! It is funny that you said you observed a circumcision during nursing school because that is where I saw a few also. My nursery is just about finished so I am happy about that.

Sonya – Oh I bet you were so ready to meet you son by the end of your pregnancy. So he was 10 pounds when he was born … wow! Was he born vaginally or c-section?

Gi – So you took your nephew trick or treating … that is great! I normally take my nephew also but he is now nine and wants to go with his friends. You are lucky if you are just feeling heavily pregnant because I think that hit me weeks ago. But, I think it is because I am on the go so much during the day. Sometimes, I can’t believe how busy my day is and how I make it through most days. You are getting so close and I am excited for you too. I can’t wait to see your pictures also!

AFM – I can’t believe that I made it through that football game! I don’t know what the heck I was thinking! It was only 58 degrees outside but up in the stands it felt like 100 degrees! Everyone was sweating so much and I had to put a book over my head just to stand it up there. Of course that is when my fingers and feet decided to swell up to the point I couldn’t close my fist. I was so very thankful when it was over. I kept asking my DH, what was I thinking and tell me why I am here again … lol. So now I have to get prepared for my OB appointment and my NST/AFI and then I redo for my 4D scan if she cooperates. I think it is really too late as she doesn’t have much room to move around in my uterus so we might not get a good view of her tomorrow either but we will see.

Sara - Have a wonderful birthday for your babies tomorrow! SO excited! I can't wait to see pictures. I know they will be just precious! Good luck!

Angela - Glad you got through the game. I thought you might have that "What was I thinking" thought going through your mind. lol You made it though and got to spend time with your family. I think I can relate though, I wanted to do things and go out to do things, but as soon as I did, of course I got very swollen. Good luck at your appts and the 4D!

Natasha - Bio Oil or Palmers Cocoa Butter. It has worked for everyone I know, just make sure that you use it at least once a day if not twice a day and don't skip a day. lol I stopped before when I was preggers and as soon as she dropped I stretched. Luckily not that bad. Some people claim they can't see them, but I can. This time, even though I was almost as round as I am tall, I didn't stretch at all. I was very surprised!

Gi - So feeling really pregnant now huh? I hope you don't go overdue, seems to be a trend so far. lol

Katie - So it's down to the last stretch! Just two more days right? I wasn't opposed of the circumcision idea, just wanted it to be done right OR not do it and give Ethan the chance to make the decision when he is old enough. But the peds doc at the hospital wasn't interested in my concerns and just did whatever he wanted. I have heard of a semi-circumcision. It looks normal, just has a little more wrinkle when it's limp. I tried asking him about that and like I said, I got a stupid look. We couldn't be there when Ethan got his done. They do it in a room with a bunch of other babies which would make being present a HIPPA violation. I was pretty upset about that. As for Andrew' becoming a recruiter, we could literally get anywhere. We might not be anywhere close to a post even. He will get promoted soon after getting that position and should be close to if not make his 7 by the time he goes back to his MOS. Plus, he has been retention while in Iraq, he knows the job well. He was good at it and almost went career counselor, but they get deployed a lot so spite their fast promotion timeline he decided no to that one. I do hope to get CO or somewhere decent. I am feeling fine, thanks for asking. :) Still healing... still a little sore but am almost back to normal. I still have a few tapes left on my insicion. Just the other day I got in the car for the first time normally!! That was a big thing for me. lol Before, even when preggers, I would have to do it slow and carefully in such an awkward way.

Hazel - My heart is with you during this tough time. It's great that you and your mum are leaning on each other. When my mom was sick, she told me that it was my daughter that helped her hold on the way she did. I am sure George did the same for your dad. I don't have much, if any religious faith myself, however I do believe that our souls live on. Just not in the way the book says (up or down). I like to believe it is all here and our loved ones are always around watching over us, finishing what their bodies wouldn't let them finish. Whenever we have a thought, an instinct about something, or even a vision, I believe that is them whispering in our ears. But that's just me. :)

AFM - Today was Halloween and I spent my day sleeping as long as possible when the twins were sleeping. This caused me to literally not get out of bed for the day until 2pm! When I did finally get up, I got cleaned up and got Alex ready for trick or treating. She was a cheerleader and wanted her makeup done and me being so darn good at it, I decided to go all out. Gotta love a holiday that dad's will let their little girls look like adults. lol Andrew would normally say hell no to that kind of makeup. Anyway, she looked adorable but her friends worded it differently, I think the word they used was "hot". Is she getting that big? I guess she is... sigh! Most everyone was out and about so not very many were handing out candy. This of course means that Alex came back with crap for candy. lol Andrew and I sat outside each holding a baby and they got a lot of attention, as well as the halloween decor. We had a fog machine, two zombie dudes.. one that stood 6 feet tall and spoke, the other was only a bust (as if he was coming out of the ground) and his thing was to scream and rip his head off. We also had skull strobe lights, spiders and regular skull lights and skeletons. Two guys 8 blocks away came by to see it because people were talking all about it. Turns out they work for Andrew. lol Thought that was interesing. Other than that, everything is well, everyone is well.

Here are a few pics of my little diva. lol Yeah... she likes to pose. Oh, aparently the "smooch" face is popular with the preteen/teens?

Sara - SOO excited for you and can't wait to hear all about the babies when you find the time! I feel you on the afternoon c/s. Mine is scheduled for noon on the 11th and I think it's just awful to be so late! The nurse did tell me I could eat and drink until 4am (and since I'm up to pee then anyway...), but I've not gotten that officially, so we'll see. Praying everything goes well and you recover quickly! I have the same thoughts on contractions...I've been having them for a couple of weeks and had a lot last night. Don't these girls know better??

Steph - Oh my goodness, Alex TOTALLY looks like a high school cheerleader! You did an awesome job on her makeup. She is such a beautiful girl...I'm glad Andrew is a military guy and knows how to use a gun! My dad was actually packing at my wedding (along with at least one brother). Not because it was my wedding, but because he always carries a gun. Did you guys make a final decision on the recruiting? When will that happen?

Natasha - I use the Shea Butter (in the blue bottle) from Bath & Body Works, but apparently I'm not one of the lucky ones. I think if I had carried a singleton I could have avoided stretch marks (most of them anyway), but my belly has popped SO much in the last month that I had no such luck. Sigh. I'm not surprised though as I have them on my butt and thighs from when I had a growth spurt as a teen. I knew I was predisposed to them. I do like the lotion because it's super thick so it helps with itching. Good luck!

Katie - AHHH!!! Can't wait to hear about your appt today and what time you will go in. So excited for you. This is a big week for babies!

Gi - So cute that you brought your nephew and doggie out last night. It will be so fun to take Kayla next year (or at least to a festival if you don't want to be the mom that takes a child who is not yet a year old to get candy  )

Angela - Ugh, sorry the game was so hot! Good luck with your u/s today and I do hope she cooperates. I know how frustrating it can be!

Hazel - Thinking about you friend.

Sonya - I'm with the other ladies...been stalking you and your betas!! So glad everything is going well and I can't wait to hear the good news from your u/s!

AFM - Well my goal was to make it to November, and last night I was thinking that I was barely going to make it in! I felt great all day, but last night I had a lot of contractions for a few hours. Nothing too close together, but a lot more than usual. I thought, "At least I made it past Halloween!" Thankfully they died down and I actually a had a pretty good night's sleep. I also started having a slight rash on my lower abdomen that's itchy and I REALLY hope it doesn't turn into PUPPS or something like that. Thankfully it's still pretty manageable, just a little annoying. It felt great going to church yesterday and telling people, "Next week at the latest!" when they asked how much longer.

The kids had a lot of fun trick or treating last night (with some friends and DH...I passed out candy to about 75 kids). When Scarlett got tired Darren brought her back and took Alex back out. She was crying until I made her my candy helper, and she LOOOOOVED passing out candy! All the pre teen girls thought it was so cute. Yesterday was also the four year anniversary of when we met Alex in Russia. I can't believe it's only been four years...seeing him for the first time is a memory that will forever be in my mind. I love my kids!

babyluv,
You look wonderful! You keep cooking those babies! :D

Katie,
still waiting, waiting, waiting. Come on Ryan, come out and meet momma!

Sara,

How exciting! You are going to get to meet your babies today! Sorry about the not eating/drinking, but it will be well worth it. November 1st is a great day to meet momma! :D

Sonya,

I too have been following your journey. I am so excited for you!. See, you didn't know you had so many stalkers!

afm, thanks for all the kind words girls. I feel like I planted to seed for trying again to my dh and we will see if it sprouts! He has under the impression that there were no sperm to be had, since he had a vasectomy. I told him about the TESA and left it at that. He then said, and we would have to find a surrogate.......I said, um, no, I would carry the baby. He then informed me I was no Spring Chicken. Point taken, but still no need for a surrogate. So the door is not fully closed, but I am working toward being ok with it. I am so blessed with my girls, maybe it was just not in the "plan" for me to have a third child.

Rhonda - I don't buy into the whole age thing unless there is an actual reason to buy into it (medically speaking). Not sure how old you are, but my mom was 42 when I was born, my SIL was 42 when my nephew was born, and another SIL was 43 when her twins (IVF) were born...all healthy! My uncle and aunt had my cousin with Downs when they were 21. The fact is, we never know. Also, make sure DH knows that it's egg issue, not a uterus issue as a woman ages! If your eggs are good, there's no reason for you to not carry a baby unless the doctors found a medical reason. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but I totally support your decision and hope you can move forward!

Happy Monday everyone!!! I actually had a pretty relaxing weekend which was so nice so I am caught up on all of your journeys and had a few minutes for personals!

Steph-how precious is Alex?!?!? You need to keep that girl under wraps since she is such a cutie pie. So sorry to hear about the cirucmcision incident but I'm sure it will turn out OK but I would definitely follow up to be on the safe side. I hope Andrew gets the promotion and you get to move somewhere fun and exciting!!!

Katie-I keep checking my phone for updates to see if Ryan has been his big debut! At least you will get some answers today and know the end is coming soon!!! xoxo

Sara-GOOD LUCK TODAY! I can't wait to hear your update and get some pictures!! Only two more hours till you get to meet your little ones! I also love 16 candles :)

Babyluv-you look gorgeous!!!! You definitly have that pregnancy glow!!!! I am keeping everything crossed you make your 11-11 date!!!

Ronda-I am crossing everything that DH has a change of heart and you can still try for number 3.

Sonya-following you on the other boards and can't wait till you come over to this side for good!

Natasha-I use this oil in the shower and then shea butter on top of that at nighttime. I am lucky so far without getting stretch marks but I do hear you get them a lot of time the last couple of weeks so I'm not out of the woods just yet!!!

Angela-swollen hands and feet doesn't sound fun!! I went to a concert around that time and I also was thinking it was too much after the fact!!! Put those feet up as much as possible.

Gi-I am also just starting to feel pressure down in the pelvic region and starting to get that heavy feeling. I am secretly hoping at my OBGYN apt on Wednesday they will say I'm starting to dilate!!!

AFM...not much to report. This weekend I went to Buy Buy Baby and got my stroller (a gift from my grandmother) the carseat (a gift from DH's grandmother) and a few items I will need for the changing table!!!! It's getting sooo real! I have a DR apt this Wednesday and I can officially say "I'm due this month!!!".

will catch up later.
