[quote="Blessedmomof1thruIVF"]Eggandprayer - so sorry the egg donor was canceled. =(

Jenmink55 & blairwh58 - My DH's BFF came over the other day and told me that I should try acupuncture because he heard it'll prove our chance. I thought off you all that are doing it. I never tried it and am thinking about it. What have you heard about it?

Hi Blessed!

I am on week #5 of Acupuncture. I didn't do it on my Fresh IVF Cycle and got a BFN, another person I know did and got a BFP. It helps to build the lining of the Uterus in order to sustain a pregnancy. It relaxes you as well and it's supposed to increase blood flow. My Dr. said it increases your chances by 17% and if you do it day of transfer before and after transfer it increases to about 27%. Some people have heard the %'s are higher but I just know what I have been told. The cost is definitely a consideration. It's $75 per week for me and the day of transfer (FET) will be $400. I am really scrapping to pay for it !! IVF is expensive enough without adding another expense. If it works though it will be worth every cent!! Good luck if you decide to try it out. Make sure you fine a Dr that specializes in IVF/Infertility.

Anna: Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. I am hanging in there. 2ww is miserable! Although I am praying for a BFP--Thursday seems so far away. I am POASing and so far nothing but negative, but I know I am really early--only 8dpo. Trying to be patient, but you know the worries and fears. Trying my best to keep up the PMA...maybe I will try to get in with the acupuncturist this week to help me relax.

How are you doing? Do I read it right? Is your transfer on Wednesday? How exciting! :) How many are you transferring? How are you feeling?

Hi Ladies - so I'm going nuts in this 2WW. I'm constantly analyzing everything. I tell myself if it doesn't work hopefully we have some frozen (RE hasn't called us to tell us yet) and we will just figure it out. Just take it one day at a time, but last time I was pregnant, I got really bad AF cramps and they hasn't happened yet so I'm completely anxious all the time. I know its early and I still have alot more time to wait, but I'm going INSANE. I'm not going to work tomrorow just to take one more day off and I hope that is a good idea. I'm worried that when I do go back I won't focus because I will be worried about this. Its really not any easier this time :( Well, I'm exhausted it was halloween and we were really busy tonight.

Happy Halloween to all and I will catch up soon.

Hugs!!

Margi~ Hey lady! :) I wrote a post last night and then it didn't go through for some reason. Just wanted you to know I am praying for you and thinking about you this weekend. The wait can drive a person crazy, can't it!? I hope beyond all hopes you get a bfp...you are early so there is plenty more time.

Bichon~ Same words for you...crazy town is here, Right!! :) It is so hard to wait. It doesn't ever get any easier. Hang in there.

My dog is going nuts with all these trick or treaters...he can't stand the excitement. He keeps hurting his leg...goofus, he just loves those kids. I've got a tummy ache tonight...and AF started today. I feel like the good time are ready to roll now! Woot!

How's everyone doing? Hope you had a great weekend.

Blah- What a rough weekend. I figured out I had a UTI last week and went to the NP for antibiotics. Then Saturday I increased the estrogen pills and was naseated all night and even threw up a few times. I didnt get out of bed until 3p yesterday, and then drugged up again last night with some phenergan to make sure I wasnt up all night again. They said I could either keep taking the phenergan or just decrease back down to 6 mg of estrogen + the Delestrogen shot. Just ready for Thursdays appoinment to get here!!!

As for the accupunture I agree with Jenmink. The Accupuncturist I go to gave me some handouts about the studies that have been done with IVF and accupuncture. The rate of pregnancy with IVF increases something like 27% with accupuncture. Its is very stress-relieving and I would highly recommend it. I benefitted more with the second appt than the first, probably because I was just a little nervous the first time.

Hi girls just a quick update

I am so excited and nervous right now. :D Appt with RE went well today (Praise God) My lining is at 11mm and E2 is 200 so I AM TRIGGERING TONIGHT!!!!!! :D :D :D It feels like it has been forever since we were here and I am worried constantly that something will go wrong. Since the frosties are 5 days old blasts I will transfer on Monday 11/08. I guess I trigger today and then in 36 hours I will ovulate and then it takes five days to catch up to the frosties. So I start prometrium and steroid on Saturday. Now my biggest worry is that they survive the thaw (Oh please God!)

Bichon - Of course you are going insane hun! It is the 2WW you are supposed to go insane!

mellow - good for AF!!! I will write you an email with more info!

SD - double personalities? ;)

Blair - sorry about your UTI, hope you feel better soon!

annas - trigering tonight - woooohooo that's great!!! Come home to momma frosties!

AFM - had a great SnS day! I have 6 follies on my left and 4 on the right, they measure:
10 10.6 11.1 12.3 12.3 12.6 12.7 12.8 13.9 14.4
So to me it seemed like they are very close together. The RE said 10 follies but the nurse let me in that she does not measure the smaller ones cause she tries to be conservative so that I could end up with even more and some almost mature, they watch the almost mature ones and go back and try to ICSI them too if they mature even hours later. I think my ER will be Friday, she said Fri/Sat or Sun but don't they trigger at 18mm? Growing 2 mm a day? She did say my left ovary is hard to get to so she might have to go through my belly to do it yickes! Have any of you heard of that? This is such a great cycle, with my quack RE I would go in for my first SnS (day 7 or 8 of stimms) and I would have one or two super follies at 22 to 26 mm and never a bunch together. So my #1 IVF I had 10 follies and 7 eggs but only 4 mature, I think he ICSId the almost mature ones on the spot without waiting which is essentially a waste of time my nurse explained. You have to wait for them to mature to know where to ICSI. Anyway this cycle at 39 is better than the one at 36 so far!!! Oh I am praying for lots of mature eggs!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!

Annashope: I am so glad you have the PMA!! Congrats on the go-ahead for trigger! Forgive me for not remembering, but how many frosties do you have and how many do you plan to transfer? We didn't know each other during the 2ww...but I am not surprised that we have the Crazytown/POASing in common. LOL. Rio has an adorable icon of the "POAS Divas"!! I am in full swing right now...Crazytown Central. I can barely concentrate at work. Since my trigger is "out" I am looking and hoping for that faint line to start appearing...please...I'm 11 days past trigger, but since IUI, probably only 9dpo so I should try not to worry yet.

Speaking of RIOGIRL: I just see that you posted while I am typing. Awesome report!!! 10 follies and counting! :D :D Go Follies Grow!!! You will have a bunch before trigger...super fabulous!!

Anna, Blair and Rio- Great to hear things are going well for all of you. :)

Rio- They are supposed to grow 1-2mm a day...and my RE won't trigger until they are above 20mm. I have never heard of going through the belly for a retrieval, but hey whatever ya gotta do, right. :) I hope they don't have to do that. I imagine you would be quite sore after something like that.

Going in for my baseline in a little bit, and am very ready to gitter done. :) Looking forward to more shots on Wednesday. Haha.

Margi- Hoping and praying everything works out for you. Oh, I hope so...keep us posted!

Rio- glad your stimming is going well. You have some nice follies! That's such awesome news!

Leorira- Doing the AF dance for you!

To those in the 2ww- I'm sending you lots of patience, and BFP dust! I know how hard it is! I'll be going crazy again soon enough!

Annashope- yeah for trigger! Before you know it the little frosties will be back with their momma! Think positive and visualize them defrosting perfectly! :)

AFM- I'm still growing the ole follies. Head back to the RE tomorrow for a check-up. Yesterday my u/s showed 12 less than 10mm on the left and 9 less than 10mm on the right. The doc said that was good...that they were all starting to "show up for the party" and he expected to see some growth by tomorrow. Tonight will be day 5 of stims. I am hoping my ER will be Sunday or Monday. My last cycle I stimmed for 9 days I think. I'm feeling good and very positive. Head back to acupuncturist tomorrow too. During stims I will go 2x a week. Maybe 3 depending on how my little eggs grow. Big hug to all! xo
