Hi Gem

I just want to tell you how happy I am that you got to see your little miracle and it's heart beating away. I can remember feeling exactly the same as you about the fact that there is another heart beating inside you. It's a bit freaky to start with but the bonding starts as soon as you see it. Oh Gem enjoy every minute of it as it is such a miracle and so special. Being PG is such a short time in the grand scale of life but can seem a lifetime waiting for scans and things but you have got to this stage and it is wonderful.

I am feeling a little less weepy today but still having the odd wobbly moment. You are right, my daughter was due next month so it will be difficult but knowing that I have all you lovely girls to see me through really helps me a lot.

You take care of your 'little beating baby heart'

Good luck to everyone else having scans and enjoy this special time.

Love Dagny xkx

Gem!!!!! :D :D
So happy for you - it muct have been AMAZING to see the little heart beat! WOW! You must be able to relax a bit now - ENJOY!!

ONE QUESTION FOR THE EXPERTS - Gem, you said there was one empty sac that hadnt come away - did they say that it was quite unusual . Particularly as you have not had a bleed or anything?? Bit worried they might ONLY find the empty sac bit when I have my scan next Wednesday......yes you can probably see where I'm going here!!!!!Sorry Tracey!!

Hey - am thinking though - some of you guys seem to be able to have your scan a bit earlier than 7 weeks . Mine is 7 weeks on the nose (in theory!) - I might ring and ask my clinic if I can go in a bit earlier - saves the extra few days of stressing! What do ya think?

Gem - SO SO chuffed for you. You and your DH must have had THE MOST AMAZING DAY!!

Set up separate thread for you!!

Caz - OMG - just as you were improving - they might have seen a sac and if confirmed it would have been the other embryo that failed to continue developing - as you know many twin pg's go like this. There is no worry for the other one either - independent and that one will be absorbed leaving bubs fine and dandy!

They will not find just an empty sac and I will laugh my chuffs off if they get twins!

Caz

If you get twins, you'll either not feel like eating your knickers, or enjoy them so much as you're so hungry!!!!!!! LOL

Sorry, had to be silly

Hello

gems, you must be so excited to see your heartbeat! Well you definitely sounded it.

I still don't know if its sunk in yet. My friend was just asking me how I feel and I said I don't know. Its like it is happening to someone else and I dont talk about it much. However, when I am on my own I do think about it and feel good.

I can;t wait till next week. I sometimes feel quite confident and then the next minute I worry about them finding nothing there.

gems , you said there was an empty sac, doesn;t that mean that they might only find that, instead of like in your case a baby plus an empty sac? That started me worrying.

Right I must get on and enjoy the feeling mustn't I?

We are going to San Francisco and Las Vegas in a few weeks and I was worrying about travelling on a long flight but I have told it is ok. I am really looking forward to it.

good night

Caz

You have set Tanyia off now - honestly you lot  Gem's empty sac is much more common - think about it - you have all had two put back in haven't you  so the chances of having one develope and one starting but not continuing as something wrong with it are much stronger.

HAving all had blood tests and umpteen (in some cases) pees on sticks then you are pg. It there was an empty sac then the HCG would not be so high. There is a thing called blighted ovum or empty sac syndrome but it's not even 1% - please don't worry that GEm had an empty sac as she might have gone on to have twins but hasn't and one lovely heart beat is there.
Lots of luck and love worry heads

HI there!!
SORRY SORRY about the empty sac comment - really gotcha all going though didnt it!! THANK GOODNESS for you Tracey otherwise we'd have gone COMPLETELY insane!
NO news from me other than - I FEEL ROUGH. Not actually been sick once but since Thursday have felt sick pretty much constant;y, and tired and grouchy and basically like I've got the grimmest hangover ever. ALSO very dodgey tummy (anyone else experiencing this - sorry to ask!!).
WEll, its either all pregnancy symptoms or the yucky pessaries. I really like being active and am usually such a healthy person - that I am really feeling sorry for myself. Cant even bring myself to do any exercise which is pretty unlike me. Anyway enough feeling sorry for myself. I asked for all this I suppose ! And if its at all a sign that things are happening then I'll take, but BOY do I feel grim! :D

Also just to let you know ahve scan on Monday am - will try to let you know how it goes as soon as poss - probably Monday night. heres praying!!

Everyone enjoying the sun?!

Hello all!!
Just thought I'd come on because having been very relaxed about my scan (tomorrow  ) for the last few days (honest Tracey1)....I am suddenly bricking it!! HAving felt rough the last few days I feel normal today and of course in my perverse mind am now thinking "oh maybe thats because theres nothing there and I've just been making it all up". Yup i am THAT mad!!

can someone tell me to shut up and calm down please ?!

tracey -I just keep thinking about you saying that its really quite unusual for them NOT to find a heart beat or anything at the scan and praying I'm not the odd one out!

Anyway - how is everyone else doing? When is everyones next big date/ scan. Have lost track!

Cazxxxx

ps- do you think its possible that the cyclogest pessaries make you feel a bit rough. Has anyone else had problems with them?? Cheers.
