This is my first IVF. It will take place on November 22-26. I am nervous and unsure. I am currently on BC but I have been spotting for the last two weeks. Is this normal? I called my Dr. they just say to double up on the BC pill for a few days. Is the spotting going to harm my IVF cycle? Please can someone give me advice. :|

rio- I'm starting to feel heavy in my ovary area. How about you? All my follies are less than 10m still, but the RE said I should start growing in size now that my E2 is starting to rise. I probably won't have ER until Monday'ish. Last cycle I stimmed for 9 days. I'm on Day 5 of stim shots. When do you think your ER will be? I'm happy to have a 2ww buddy! :)

Annashope- I usually feel more sluggish as the stimming process goes on...so by trigger time I'm drop dead tired!

Leorira- I'm sending you AF vibes. I can't believe the new white panties, khakis and a purse with no AF supplies didn't trigger it! I hope you get some answers by Sunday if she doesn't show up!

Sha-shawnee- I haven't heard of spotting wtih BCP...but I have never been on them! Welcome to the group! You'll have so much support here!

LisaB75- welcome back...and good luck with your ER on Friday. Our 2ww will overlap alittle, I think. My ER is tentative for Monday.

Margi- I know the 2ww is hell! I didn't poas until the late afternoon before my beta that next day. It was only a faint line. My beta the next day was 71. I think if I poas'd any earlier it would have been negative.

Karescorpio - I don't have the heavy feeling yet but I don't have as many follies! I am on day 7 today. On day 5 there were 10 over 10mm to 14 mm but I usually go fast. I used to have a leading folly of 20 to 26 mm but thanks to DHEA I Don't and they are close, my estradiol was pretty low for day 5 it was 115, what was yours? She said the Femara might have dropped it. I think I go on Friday or Saturday based on the large one being 14. I go for another SnS tomorrow!! Yes we will be 2WW buddies, are you going to POAS?

sha-shawnee~ welcome to the group. :) My RE said it's normal to have some spotting while on the bcps. More so if you are not taking them at the exact same time every evening. Try not to worry to much about it. I had a little bit of spotting this time while I was on them.

rio~ how often are they bringing you in to check your E2 levels, and scan? Are they at all worried about that level seeming low?

karenscorpio~ how many follies are you growing in there? :) I hope they are getting nice and plump for you.

leorira~ that darned spotting could drive anyone nuts...sorry you are being taunted! This is no fun waiting. Soon, dear, it should be soon.

margi~ keep your chin up lady...no one is more deserving to get a bfp than you are. I am still hoping and praying things go well. I didn't get a bfp on my last ivf cycle until day 13...so try to stay positive. :) Sending you hugs!

Anna~ how are you feeling? Ready for this FET? I'm so excited for you!

easely~ isn't it exciting to have some solid dates now. Is it starting to feel real yet?

Lisa~ Good luck on Friday! Looks like things are going to really start getting busy on here :) Lots to keep up with.

babydreamz~ what's up? Everything going as expected?

blair~ how are things progressing for you? Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :) It's time for some good news, right!

SD~ Still on track I hope? Getting so much closer. Yay!

Karenvancouver and Bichonmom~ How's the dreaded 2ww coming for you? Hopefully not too slow....who am I kidding, probably really slow, with lots of analyzing every little thing. That sounds about right!!! :) :) Be strong, we are all pulling for you.

AFM~ Got the go ahead to start stims tomorrow. At this point it is my goal to clear the cobwebs out of my brain and remember to take my stinkin lupron shot in the morning! Sheesh! I am a total airhead lately. I'm so excited to get this part started!

If I missed anyone, which I'm sure I did...I apologize. Huge group here! I am thinking about all of you and saying a little prayer that we each get our hearts desires.

krisnjer- CONGRATULATIONS!! that's amazing news :D ..and i also want to say- i get it.. meaning- the fear, insecurity, uncertainty feelings.. i was like that off and on my whole pregnancy with my son. i actually never completely believed i'd actually give birth to a child until after he was born! (i know, sounds ridiculous, but true). infertility damages us in some ways.. causes a lack of faith/trust. BUT your number is good. my second ivf/ first pregnancy, my first beta was 431- and i miscarried.. so who the eff knows anyways? .... you'll be like me during your first trimester- haha, happy everytime you feel violently ill cause it's so 'reassuring'.

rio- good luck for the sns tomorrow!! i have a feeling those follies are growing nicely :D

leorira, that nurse IS a dumbass... wtf. and i'm sorry you're going through the spotting. bah. glad you persevered to talk to another nurse. sometimes we really need to advocate for ourselves.

welcome sha shawnee, lisa-good luck with ER on friday! how exciting. easley- hahaha... getting excited about the needles.. we're a unique bunch aren't we ;)

mellow- it's very exciting to start stims tomorrow! and anna- keep us posted on your FET..best of luck to you..

i know i missed so many peeps cause this is a busy BUSY thread.. i do wish everyone hugs and support through whatever stage you're in :D

AFM..i'm in quite a different spot than my last positive post. today i've been freaking out in this 2WW. it sucks. i was out today and could feel wetness in my undies (tmi)..and i'm on prometrium suppos. , but i was so worried it was my period. cause i also have some low back pain.. i know that i have an amazing 'consolation' (ie. my son- hope that doesn't sound crass) if we get a BFN... but i so want this to work. i have a dream and it's hard and sad to imagine it not coming true.

hugs to all, baby dust. k

Hi Ladies!!!
Wish all of u blessings in ur journal to have a baby or babies :).
I am new in this and a little lost. I would not start my first IVF until February or March (Still putting pennis in the piggy bank). I still think about how I got into this :))). I had my tubal ligation 8 years ago; have two sons 16 teen and 9 years old. I re married 2 years ago and my husband knew about my desicion back then of not wanting more children. And at that time he was ok with it until we start living together as a family (we had a very short relation before marriyng). He saw the love my children have for their father, speciallly the special connection my 9 years old has with his father... I know he really loves me and my kids :). He also tells me a lot that he admires me as a mother and for that he will love to have at least one child with me. After the first year I thought about how lucky I was to have children and something he hasn't experience. I am 100 % sure he will be a great day because he is a great stepfather and a wonderful husband.
So far we are half way to what it comes to financial issues, I hope to get to the other half before March. We already went twice to the Infertility clinic and we had to have his sperm frozen because I will start the IVF while he is Deploy in Irak. I choose to start around Feb and March because at least I want him to see me half way the pregnancy and then have him in my due day (thinking positive that the first IVF works :) !!!! ).
I am a very positive person but also very realistic. My menstrual period is irregular; I had my first child when I was one month before turning 19 years old and then it took me 7 whole years for the second one; I never took birth control pills and it naturally took me that long.
So here I am 35 years old imagining myself in this new journey. There is no way I am telling my family because they are special, lol> my mom says something one day and the next day the oppositive and for now I want to stay focus in my own drama> having my husband deploy, staying in a state where I don't have friends or family near but I made my choices to stay where is best for my 2 children.
Wish to learn from each one of you!!!
Blessings for all!!!

leorira - Thanks for checking out my bloggity thing. Hope it wasn't too whiny  I think my next post is going to be a collected list of all of the absurd questions we have been asked by the menagerie of docs we have been to... here are a few of my favorites:

Do you orgasm properly? (to my wife)
Have you been with any loose women? (my GP to me when getting a blood workup)
What is your education level? (to my wife... I can understand the question of employment because of hazards in the workplace but seriously do people with degrees have smarter eggs?)

The list goes on and on.
I wrote a blog about my story and this darn infertility. Check it out... http://www.shrunkinapole.com
In case anyone was wondering this is what the name represents:

Hi Ladies,

The Roller Coaster of Hope is on its way up again, thank Heavens! Our first Donor Egg IVF was to be this month then the donor dropped out as I have mentioned previously. We were prepared for a long wait for the re-matching etc, but it all happened at lightning speed and we are matched and ready to go. The RN will call us next week with the schedule!!!

Thank you krisnjer for starting what I feel will be a PREGNANCY EPIDEMIC. Congrats on the BFP!

Everybody else, keep up the good work and prayers.

New people, welcome to a safe and secure place of full understanding and support wherever you are on the ride.
