Hi All ---

Thank you to everyone who's been asking about my pup Roxy and her bum knee. We took her to see the specialist and he strongly believes she needs the TPLO surgery (the expensive one of course). He said if she had the other surgery she could tear the meniscus within 6 months to a year and need the TPLO anyway because she's so active. So she's scheduled for surgery on Tuesday November 9th.

Tammy -- I'm sorry that you didn't get the best news on your embies.... but the girls are right. Even my RE's website has the quote "we've seen many beautiful babies born from fragmented embryos", meaning that grading them doesn't necessarily mean quality. I'll be praying for you.

Klinger -- Can't wait to hear yor beta #!

Karenthescorpio -- So sorry to hear about your DH's accident! You're right... life can change on a dime. I'm so glad he's OK. And I'm very happy to hear your follies are growing so well! Way to go!!!

AFM -- Not much going on IVFwise with me at all since I'm breaking until January. DH and I are making as much effort as we can to try naturally though. I don't have any issues (other than age) and he's got moderate male factor but his count/morphology goes up and down. Soooo.... yesterday I got the LH surge . We're being busy baby dancing these next couple of days. We were told only about a 5% chance on our own but at least we're doing SOMETHING. I'm taking DHEA, Royal Jelly, and Wheatgrass too. I have hopes for the DHEA based on some studies and success stories I've read but I don't know if the RJ or WG do much other than provide vitamins and antioxidants. Can't hurt though.

Sonya...talk about a small world. Jen from Maybe If You Just Relax Blog...is a personal friend of mine from my local mommy's group. Her and I have the same doc, but switched from another mutual doc (both of us due to our insurance), and both got pregnant within months of each other...going through everything together and comparing everything too...to try and get pregnant...and now do playdates, etc. What a small world. lol

Do you also read "Baby Dust Diaries"...she is another friend from my local mommies group whom I first met in Kindermusik class. She is now pregnant with twins like Jen (same doctor too, lol) and is finding out the sex on Tuesday. I am babysitting her little girl. You'll have to check out her blog if you dont already. lol

No. I only held it for 4.5 hours. I know Sonya says 6 hours but I couldn't hold it any longer. LOL LOL Oh, well, we'll see what tomorrow says. Amazingly, I'm not totally down, which means I'm really a total nut case. LOL LOL

Lou-i just read your post and wanted to chime in and say that KY Jelly and other lubricants actually inhibit the sperm from reaching the eggs. The only lubricant that is sperm friendly is something called preseed which you can get at a specialty pharmacy or order online! Sorry to hear about the pups surgery and just know I'm always thinking of u:)

Thanks Nancy. I will wait for AF to raise her ugly head, and then try again. I just don't know what could go any differently to make me feel more hopeful. Things seemed "fine" regarding folly count, sperm count, HSG, etc. Anyway--I probably shouldn't dwell on it right now--when I am feeling disappointed and sad. We can afford one more cycle. Maybe two--depending on finances. Sigh. I just so wish there was a way to understand why.

Karen - Oh my goodness!!! You must have about had a heart attack when you heard... life can change in the blink of a eye. I'm so happy your DH was okay!

Amesy - try to stay positive! I know it's hard when you go through month after month after friggin MONTH of disappointment, but you deserve to feel hopeful. Sending lots of positive energy and prayers your way!

Kelly - It's so awesome to hear the ball's getting rolling for you! It's funny how "shooting up" everyday makes us feel like junkies as it is, let alone having to be secretive about it. GOOD LUCK!

Sonya - Another super beta for you!!! Congrats! Any luck getting your u/s done sooner than the 17th? I thought you had said something about asking them to move it up a couple days...

afm - Back to the grind today! I work a 630pm to 3am shift, woo hoo Aside from that, I'm nervous about the u/s tomorrow. I'm praying everything's normal and coming along the way it should. I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow afternoon after my u/s.

I'm so excited to hear about your u/s. Can you believe, I called my RE today and I told them that I was cramping a little. She said that it is normal due to my uterus expanding and then she said, "After all you've been through, why don't you come in tomorrow so we can check you." I almost jumped for joy. Not sure if they will see anything but it will put my mind at ease.

Can't wait to hear how yours went. Sending prayers your way!!!
