lol...urine.. and yes- i was told that the repronex i took my first (failed) cycle stung because it was made from nun urine...lol...very clean, healthy, organic nuns.. they live in the hills somewhere.

i find that story very amusing every time i think of it! ...and double lol.. they explained that to me after i fainted- passed out and cracked my head open on our hardwood floor- after doing my very first IVF injection (of repronex). obviously i was a nervous wreck. had a 'vagal response'..

so rio- my second ivf cycle (prior to dhea) i was on the 'flare' protocal (highest dose/ max protocal) and i only produced 2 mature follies.. at ER they found another 3 follies but were very small. both of the big 2 had eggs. they recommended we cancel early (as we have no IVF coverage in canada, and when you cancel you get all but 1000 $ of what you paid back)... i couldn't cancel as it felt wrong- went to ER, they fertilized, i got pg. saw h/b on u/s, but m/c later.. so then DHEA for 7weeks, same flare protocal for IVF #3... got 10 big follies, 9 had eggs, 5 fertilized...2 implanted (got my son) and 2 frozen that are in me now.. so i'm a DHEA FAN!!

love ya girls ! mUAH

krisnjer...Yay!!! I'm so happy to hear such fantastic news! :) You must be so excited!

Rio~ doing all the dancing possible for you. :) I hope everything goes well, and they grow nice and mature by Saturday morning. I think things are starting to get really exciting for on here! :)

Yeah, isn't the thought of injecting pee into our belly's, to grow little eggs, that will hopefully turn into our babies, a very strange thought! Hah, oh the things we go through. We are the bravest bunch of women I know.

Many wonderful blessings ahead...It's in the air...er, maybe the water. :D

hi all

this is my 5th or 6th post here, but i still condiser myself a newbee.. you all seem to know each other, so l feel a little weird posting here...however it feels good to write things down, even if they aren't acknowledged...

i am about to start the 4th cycle...my husbane is convinced this time it will work, but i cant let myself believe that as i did that for the first cycle and was so devistated when the cycle was cancelled...i learnt from then not to get so excited....

apparantly i am not 'reacting' to the drugs as l should be. i pull 4 eggs and am on the highest dosage of FSH. by the way l am from melbourne aus...

i put on 11 kgs and am know in the right weight range, and have cut dowm exercise from intense 7 hours a week to light 3 hours a week (the weight gain was too easy!!).... so everything is right now. went to a natrupath and apparantly i was deficient in some minerals and the body was cronically stressed. we are dealing with this through herbs, supplements and accupuncture...its costing a fortune (on going fight with husbane as he thinks its a hoax)..but i have to believe its going to help,. otherwise l feel so hopeless..

to make matters worse..my twin sis is preg (and they weren't trying) and she is losing weight as she doesn't feel like eating - i am afraid she is jepordising the baby as she is only 10 weeks...but she does not seem to care..

i feel better after venting, so thank you for reading/not reading my post...at least l can get it all out..

see ya from oz

Kris - YAY! That's doubling quite well. Not having a 3rd beta is GOOD sign. Now the waiting for the u/s.... we never stop waiting do we?

Chris - I always gain weight when I'm cycling. I think it's that I stop going to the gym and start eating like a pig (chocolate makes me feel less stressed!). I have had HG with both of my pregnancies, so I lose a ton of weight while pregnant. If you are seriously concerned about your sister, don't worry, the baby will be fine. I lost 30 lbs in my first trimester with my twins, and as long as I stayed hydrated (even if though IV fluids), things were fine.
I'm sorry your (twin!) sister is pregnant and you are doing this IVF. I thank goodness that no one else in my family is TTC or pregnant (I'm the oldest of 4 kids, but 2 aren't dating and 1 is still in high school --- and he'd BETTER NOT get his girlfriend pregnant!). My mom jokes that she should have another one, since it was so easy for her, and she'll just give the baby to us... :)

Jen- PIO doesn't hurt the first few times, but as you go along your butt gets more andmore sore and lumpy - which makes the injections worse. I don't want to scare you, just warn you!

:) the injections are made from urine! I was grossed out when I learned that! Either nun's urine or MARE's urine! ewwww... the things we do :)

AFM - nothing new to report. Still waiting for AF and due to meet with the RE on Sunday to discuss why she isn't here!

Hello All...Sorry I have been MIA for a few days but I see you ladies/man have been very busy!! I tried my best to catch up but I saw some good news Kris, congrats on your BFP and answer betas!! I was my beta was sooner but my RE makes me wait 12dp 5dt which sucks!!! I have been really considering POAS, I have some at home, but I can't decide if its better to see a BFN at home Sunday morning or listen to a BFN from my RE on Tuesday afternoon. I'm trying to keep a PMA but I guess I'm just concerned. We are going to hang out with friends on Sunday and I can decide whether I want to know before and possibly be sad or wonder the entire time we are there and wait till beta. Its so hard!!!

Karen - I have been right there with you all week with analysis hell. I didn't get AF cramps so I think I'm not pregnant but then I get lower back pain, or think I feel nausaous and I wake up starving every morning then after all of this I think I'm pregnant but can't get my hopes up. Its horrible!!

Rio - that's awesome, I'm hoping for really good eggies for you!!!

Sorry, I'm so far behind but I hope you all are doing well and keeping PMA better than me!!

Hugs!!

Chris- You have come to the right place when you are feeling the way you do right now. We all really do understand. IVF is hard on us emotionally. The extreme ups and downs. It's horrible. I want to encourage you to be positive. As much as dissapointment hurts when it happens (believe me, I know, I've had BFN's and lost twins at 23wks!), I would bet it is harder to live in a mode every day of not allowing yourself to feel hopeful. It is wonderful that your DH is feeling positive and like it will work! I truly believe that science can only go so far and the rest is up to one's intention and focusing on what we want. Not what we don't want. I know I'm standing high on my soap box right now, but I"ve learned from my own experience of fighting off the negative and hopeless feeling! I want you to feel good and take the risk in allowing yourself to believe this will work! Honestly, know that we all understand ...we really do. I do for sure! Sending you a big cyber hug!

karenthescorpio - believe it or not my mom said the same thing to me even after they tried for almost 5 years to have me. Its amazing how people forget what they went through.

JenMink - Shrunkenstick??? that just sounds terible :)

Sorry I havent been on but last night we realized that out house has become infested with mice. I spent the whole night tearing apart my kitchen trying to find those little buggers. Well we have confirmation of ovulation and we are scheduled for transfer on Monday afternoon so here we go...
I wrote a blog about my story and this darn infertility. Check it out... http://www.shrunkinapole.com

Hi everyone. So had another SnS this morning. My follies are growing. They really grew alot overnight and I have several that are 18mm now.. Yeah! I'm hoping to trigger Saturday or Sunday. RE said they just have to monitor my E2...so depending on how that looks will determine my trigger shot day. I just have this feeling it'll be either tomorrow or Sunday. I hope everyone is doing well. Look forward to seeing more good news today on this board!!!! :)

frig i lost my post!!!

anyways, i'd love to know when others' get triggered too- what size?? my clinic did around 18 also...i think they said over 20 or 21 was too 'old'.....but i've noticed discrepancies on here, so i'm curious?

and karen/scorpio- what a great batch of follies you have!! you must be soo excited . this sounds very promising for you!

leorira- what's the deal with AF??!! you must be so frustrated.. maybe your RE can kick her ass on sunday!

and more notes on nun-urine..not all IF drugs are made from human products..some are synthetic.. only the ones that sting are from the pee!! ;)

bichon! your clinic is like mine- 17 days after fert.. it seems cruel and other clinics test earlier i know.. i get mine 16 days after fert this time due to stat holiday next week here in canada. HANG IN THERE! :)

and hi chris- welcome :) you are in the right place on this thread. it's all very hard. i wonder if you have high FSH? /DOR ? as i'm a low responder too, even on highest dose of FSH. if so, check out DHEA / hormonal/steroid supplement..

well i've had this week off work and have totally enjoyed it.. i'm psychotically checking my underwear every time i feel moisture for fear of AF... i'm sooo grateful it hasn't come and i'm still feeling twinges and hoping it's the embie growing.. my IF clinic doesn't tell you the beta results til the next day (THEY SUCK! - like we haven't spent enough money for them to make the effort to do that) - so i've got my OBGYN's office telling me the same day- AND, the receptionist told me to write "stat- call OBGYN" on the bloodwork requisition from the clinic, so that they will know within an hour!!

after all that effort, i sure hope it's positive! :) - sorry i don't respond personally to everyone.. i try... have a great day everyone!

Rio- He said 18mm minimum. I have 5 that are 18mm. He said a couple more days likely. My last cycle they triggered me when I had some that were 20-21mm. I think bc I have so many that are still 12mm that he wants to push
me. But if my E2 gets too high then we have to trigger or coast. Glad you were able to trigger. Before you know it you'll be PUPO! Xoxo

Rio - this cycle I think my largest was a 20mm and there only 1, The rest for more like 16 but I had so many that my RE thought that they were not getting a good measurement because they were all smooshed in there. I guess he was right since out of the 35, they were able to ICSI 29.

Karen - I hear ya. I'm not checking my undie but I'm completely up in my head about every backache, or if I'm getting sick or is that a cramp....insane. You hang in there too.

I may breakdown this weekend and test, but we shall see. Tuesday is just so far away and work isn't even a good enough distraction for me anymore.

I will try and check in this weekend. I hope everyone has a good one. Its daylight savings time in PA so we gain an hour of sleep on Sunday, yipppeee!!!

Hugs!
