hopefulat37- Yay for making it to the end of your first tri. I'm sure since you are carrying twins it really is a huge relief! So your dr had you do progestrone injections till 12 weeks? Mine is making me do suppositories twice a day till 12 weeks because of our complications. I think I'd rather do the shots honestly but I keep telling myself...ok only 3 1/2 more weeks of this. I dont know anything about Delalutin shot but with twins I'm sure they want you to go as long as you can before labor starts. Good luck!

Hopefulat37 - Congrats on getting this far! It seems to take forever doesn't it? And I know what a relief it is to make that 12 week mark and be able to see the baby (or in your case, babies ) and see that everything is in order! I was amazed to see that you could already see the kidneys and that they were functioning normally because the baby's bladder was full! I haven't heard of the injection you'll be going on at 16 weeks - but I agree, it's a relief to be coming off the progesterone! I've been weaning off it since week 11 and will be completely off by the end of week 12! Only a few more days to go! YAY!

hopefulat37- Are you having a Nuchal translucency u/s done? My NP said that if the tech is good they can sometimes tell you the sex of the baby this early. Is this what you had done on Monday? Were they able to tell you or do you not want to know the sexes like Kizmet. I'm so anxious to know and am hoping they can tell me on my Nov. 16th apt for my Nuchal u/s. I read a study that said when mothers who had no prior knowledge of their baby's sex were asked and 71% of the time they could accuratley predict it. If that's the case I think my DH will be disappointed because I think its a girl.

Hi Ladies!!!!

I hope I can join you guys here. MY EDD is first of May I always wanted to post but I was super busy with begin preggo, work and 10mo old Congratulations to all of you, I cycled back in August but my previous history is in my siggy. I had lots of complications during my last pregnancy but was able to carry to term my beautiful baby girl. If you guys have any questions about newborn, birth etc.. i hope i can answer. I had my u/s for the DS last week and all went well my odds are in the 1000's so i'm very happy with that. Baby was moving around like crazy, I cant wait to find out what it is. I'll have to sit down and read up on all of you later. Anyway I'm happy to share the experience once again with all of you wonderful ladies.

Hopefulat37 - if you're right about mothers being able to pick the sex, then Bean is a boy. Oddly, I always assumed my first baby would be a girl - DH and I even referred to our future child with a girls name. However, from the moment they put the embryo back in, I said to Mike that the baby is a boy. I have no idea why (and not that it actually bothers me either way) but it has always felt masculine.

AFM - had a fabulous weekend with family. It was one of my nephew's 21st (on DH's side) and we finally shared our baby news with everyone. It was interesting to see the reactions of some, since I've often been viewed by some of the family as though I was the "other woman" being my DH's second wife. All of a sudden I'm part of the club and worthy of talking too! Some things have always been a little bit difficult because DH's first wife is very much still a part of the family (don't get me wrong, I'm actually quite good friends with her too) but given that she is best friends with some of the family, some of them have always looked down on me. Kind of weird really because they all of a sudden want to be friendly with me, but my view of them is the same! Other than the few that I know haven't really liked me in the past, it was great to share the news with everyone else! In other exciting news, the morning sickness is abating a little bit, which is a relief, so I've gone from throwing up every morning to only every other morning!

Dys24- Hi and welcome! Seems you have your hands full but I'm glad you have decided to join our group. You, Kizmet, and Hopefulat37 are all so far along compared to me. Well I hope that means I can drive you all bonkers with my questions of what to expect and advice. This is my first baby after 2 failed IUIs and 2 IVF cycles (both fresh). We have had some complications too wtih a SCH hemorriage. I acutally have an u/s today to check on it to see if its getting better. I cant wait because it allows me to see my little one and know that she is still ok (at least I think its a she). I'll let you all know how the u/s goes later today!

Ok just got the offical report from the NP. There is "little to no change" with the hemorriage itself. The NP said the pregnancy looks great however. Baby is measuring about 8 1/2 weeks and I was able to still see the HB and its leg/arms today. They are having me discontinue my Metformin (thank goodness that stuff sucks) and will stay on my progestrone suppositories until at least 12 weeks (the 15th) when I see the actual DR. No more u/s until my Nuchal Trans. on the 16th.

Kizmet- So glad your m/s is finally getting better and will continue that way. Isn't it funny how people can change their attitudes so quickly when the find out a baby is on the way. They'll be super nice now so you will let them come see the baby and hold it. Hopefully they will stay that way from now on.

Hi Ladies!! Things are progressing as usual with the babies as far as we know. I go in for my monthly ultrasound on the 12th and am hoping they are able to tell the sex of the babies, but being only 15 weeks I am not getting my hopes up.
I just want to see both of them moving around and getting bigger
We have not been able to see their functioning organs but have been able to see many other things.
The second part of my Neuro-Trans. test is on Dec. 4th. By then we should be able to tell what the sex of the babies are.

Hopefulat37- Your pic is so cool! Is that one of the 3D u/s pics that they do? I'm glad your babies are doing so well and I can't wait till my 12wk u/s (in 2 wks) to see mine moving around also. So the Nero. trans u/s is a 2 part test? I didnt know that. Are you guys hoping for girls, boys, or one of each?

Hopefulat37 - awesome pic of your babies there! We had the 3D ultrasound at the 12 week mark and it was very cool! I can't wait for my 19 week one on Dec 4th.

Hopeforbabies - not too much a wait now for that 12 week ultrasound!

AFM - nothing exciting to report. Belly is definitely poking out a bit now and I've put back on the weight I lost from being so sick with the MS. Still not feeling great in the morning but the throwing up has slowed down a bit. We flew to Sydney for the weekend for a wedding which was nice (except I get motion sickness on planes and wasn't able to take any meds )

Kizmet- I'm so glad your m/s is finally getting better. It sounded so horrible for you! I'm glad that you had a good time at the wedding you attended. So you have another u/s in about 5 weeks. Do you just do montly u/s or appts. until your third trimester? What are they looking for at the 19 wk apt?

We just found out our first round of IVF Worked! We are so excited but EXTREMELY cautious and not talking to many people about it. Needless to say...I am going CRAZY but at the same time I am so scared that something will go wrong and we will lose this pregancy too.....

We just entered our 6th week and they think we might be having twins.
Our first Beta count was 450, our second two days later was 960 and our third Beta count four days later was over 7,000.
We go in for an ultrasound on Monday 9/13 to find out.
Anyone else out there expecting a May baby?

I am soon to start my first IVF in 2 to 3 months. And I haven't told my family and just one friend knows about it but she is very far from me.

Hopeforbabies - I have monthly check ups at the pregnancy care clinic until about 6 months then they will reassess - the closer I get, the more often I'll have to endure it. As I am a Type 1 diabetic, I also have to see my endo once every four weeks as well. The 19 week ultrasound is an anatomy scan to make sure everything is where it should be and that the heart is functioning normally. I assume it is also the one where we can find out the sex if we want to (but we don't).

Danaris - good luck with your IVF journey.

AFM - I'm really starting to relax a bit now. I think I feel as though miscarriage is a little less likely now and everything else is a case of what will be, will be. I might even start enjoying it soon! I'm quite excited about starting the nursery now.

Hopefulat37- wow amazing pic!!!! i can defenitely see the two babies how awesome!!! I had a 3/d done with my DD but at like 26 weeks and it was amazing to see her little face and she looked just like when she was born.

kizmet- I'm happy to hear you are more at ease now and that your ms is easing up a bit to. Enjoy your pregnancy it goes by wayyy to fast.

I had a scan this week and the baby was moving all over, I'm in a high risk pregnancy so i wil get u/s every two weeks. The tech said she will look for sex next scan at which i will be 16w3d so hopefully she can tell us if its a boy or a girl. everything looks good so far with me. I'm not as tired and my belly is sticking out already. I gained 6lbs ughhhhhhhhhh!

dys- How exciting that you will be finding out the sex of your little one soon? Are you hoping for a boy since you have a DD already? If you dont mind me asking how come you are at a high risk OB? I'm sure you dont mind having u/s every two weeks and getting to see you baby develop so much. I look forward to each of mine just to make sure baby is still alive and ok in there. Our next one is the 16th and it cant come soon enough!
