Re: Looking for November Cycle Buddies

Post by karenthescorpio »

Ok, so I had my final b/w and u/s this AM. Retrieval is at 8am instead of 8:30am b/c I f'd up my trigger last night by one hour! DH changed the clocks in our house (that aren't auto) and missed the ones in the kitchen. So I'm in there cooking last night (making extra stuff ahead for this week) and I noticed it was 8:30 already! I was like...oh shit, I gotta stop and do my trigger. So I washed the raw meat from my hands (making meatballs) and hurry to get it done. By 8:35pm it was done...then I see my DH walk in and he says, "what are you doing?" I said, "I just did my trigger shot...it's 8:30 already". And he goes, "no it isn't...it's only 7:30". And of course my mouth dropped open and looked at the clock...then turned back to him and said, "no the clock says 8:30". And he says..."oh shit, I didn't change those". OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to stab him with the nearest knife! I love him dearly but I could have beaten him! I decided to just stay calm and know all will be ok. So they moved my ER up 30 minutes. I have to be there at 6:30am...so happy it'll be done so early! Had a great (and REAL) RE see me today ...lining is still 11mm and follies look great. All accounted for and growing! :)

Rio- You just focus on those wonderful 5 embies. Don't look back! I have a great feeling for you! :) You go ahead and put all of them in if you and RE agree it's ok! Whatever you gotta do, my friend! I'm only transferring up to two b/c they are PGD'd embies. I'm still waivering between one and two. I'm trying to get more info on preg rates with PGD at my clinic for a SET. If the preg rate isn't much different for my age group between one and two, I might just do one. Tomorrow is your big day!!!!

Karenvancouver- yeah for a postive HPT! :)

Leorira- congrats on getting a plan of action to get AF here! I bet you are relieved! I am sending you AF vibes and positive energy for you FET! I will be following you no matter what board you post to!

Ladybug- Good luck with your transfer and donor triggering! How exciting!!!!

Mellow- I hope you have alot of activity going on in there, too! You are right, we have to advocate for ourselves. I learned that the hard way when I lost my twins. Had I known then what I know now I would have done things much differently!!!!

SDtrying- yeah for your FET! That's my bday! A good day for a transfer! ;) I'm searching for funny IVF/TTC blinkies and smilies, too! I love them!

karen scorpio- oh crap! I am glad you caught it though! Good luck on your ER and let us know how it goes, praying for mature eggs. Will you do a 5 dt with PGD? We don't do PGD cause we are too scared to do day 5 with low numbers. I can't wait to hear your numbers!

Ok ladies, so i've gone from NEVER POAS'ing on a fertility cycle...so POASing 2x today by 9am!!

they're both BFP's...!! i can hardly believe it.. well, actually, i am skeptical..lol.. but so hopeful too. so i talked to my OBGYN's office and they're sending me for early blood work today (screw my clinic making me wait til wednesday!!)

then i'll repeat it wednesday, and then again next week, god willing, if they're all positives.. i guess even though i have a child, i've also had so many disappointments and been given bad prognoses for success, that i'm always hesitant to TRUST that good signs, are actually 'good sign's..

so, rio, i hear you on the nervousness about the 5 embies.. i'm praying for you too :) it would financially devastate us to do another fresh cycle, plus we have no medication coverage left...so we'd be looking at well over 10 G's to try again...and at the ripe age of 38, with DOR.. ugh. not exciting..

karenscorpio- GLAD you didn't stab your DH..!! lol.. that's a great story but it all workedout great!! how wonderful! keep us posted on fert.

leorira- glad AF's gonna come soon. i know it's been so frustrating..

blessedmom- hmm.. i don't know for sure (as i only did lupron 1x- as i respond soo poorly to treatment- they skip this part with me now)- but i don't think you'll get your period.. UNTIL NEXT YEAR after you have your baby!

blessings and baby dust to all :)

ps. question- when we say "14 DPO" - is day 1 the day OF fertilization?? or is day 1 the day AFTER ??

Karenvancouver-- I am so happy for you!!! As for your dpo question I have no idea. I have been wondering the same thing. I have been not counting the ER day and begin my count on the following day but I have no idea if that is correct. What a difference a day can make, huh!?!

AFM-- I am doing fine. I do not feel pg at all. Just waiting until my u/s..... ugggg I am so tired of waiting ..... DH and I are thinking about taking a little trip somewhere to help the time pass.

thanks krisnjer.. when is your u/s? if i'm PG i'll have one right away as i'm tagged 'high risk' by my OB.. technically i don't meet the criteria, but i'm close.. so he does it anyways, which is great cause it means u/s at 6, 8, and 10 weeks.. then again at 20 weeks. which is so reassuring.

interesting on the DPO thing heh? any others ? how do you count?

Days past ovulation is days past retrieval. So 14dpo is 14 days past your ER!

ok, i'm at the risk of sounding like an idiot. cause i feel like one. lol... so- ER date is NOT 1DPO ??- the next day is??

so if ER was OCT 26... - OCt 27 is 1DPO? or is Oct 26 = 1DPO ?

of course "past" should mean the next day.. (this is the dumb part).. but i'm checking. cuz i'm crazy

Yes Karen you've got it correct. :) I was told to count the day after as day 1. Oh yes....CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D :D :D
This is the best news! So glad you get to cheat and get your beta early. I wonder why your clinic makes you wait so long. Mine is like 9 days after a 5 day transfer, so it's not really a 2ww wait unless I start counting from the day after retrieval.

I don't go in for my appointment until this afternoon, and then I have to wait for E2 numbers until tomorrow afternoon. So I will be able to report whether my ovaries have kicked into high gear or not....here's to hoping they are cranking those little eggs out. :)

Sorry its been awhile since Ive posted but things have been a little hectic. Went thursday for my uktrasound and NP said that the lining was the best yet (which it should be with estrogen pills and shots). Also had the cervical stitch put in place-not fun but whatever they say. Started PIO thursday, and doxycycline and prednisone Friday. I had my before transfer acupuncture this morning and then we went in today and all 3 of our last blasts made the thaw!! One was AA, one BB, and one I cant remember the grading but she called it an early blastocyst. Hoping that since we had a range at least one of them will stick in there. Then we went straight to the after transfer acupunture and home. Now bedrest for 3 days. Since DH is home with me this week he restricts movement and barely lets me out of the bed. Will find time for personals at some point this week. Just excited to be PUPO!!!!!!

I am so jealous that everyone has betas so soon. We transferred 3- 6 day blasts and our first beta is scheduled for Nov. 19. Would say say to at least wait 5 dpt, but who knows when I will cave in and start testing. At this point I don't have any tests in the house and I'd be surprised if DH let's me leave the house until Friday. We will see I guess. Best of luck to everyone in their 2ww and can't wait to hear about more BFP!!!

Jenmink~ A lot of women take tests until the hcg is out of their system...and then wait a day or two and test again to POAS. I got a very strong positive at 7dp5dt. It's hard to say what you will get and when. Every woman is so different. I would say test away as long as you want too. :) I did on my last cycle, everyday for like 5 days straight, finally got a bfp on the day of my beta, so that was very different from the other one. Good luck to you! Can't wait to hear your news.

I had an interesting appointment today. My RE wasn't there, her dad was, and I am not a fan. Impersonal and in a hurry to do nothing. I left a bit frustrated, especially when I found out that HE would be the one I am dealing with this whole week. UGH. Anyway, it wasn't bad news, just a bit irritating. I have about 12-14 or so around 11mm. He took a quick guess and was all up in my business for less than a minute, while whipping that wand around like I was a joy stick. Lovely. Then he decided right then and there to change my meds and drop me down in dosage...HELLO? For what reason, I don't know. I have to wait until tomorrow to hear how my E2 levels are looking before they actually do drop me tomorrow night. The great news in all this was that all the follies seemed to be right around the same size, which is huge for me. I usually have a couple over-achievers that take the lead. So far so good. I don't go back in until Thursday for the next scan. Overall it went well, I just hope the RE is nicer next time. I am thinking I will tell him what I thought about how he treated me....will see.
