December Transfers??

Post by Cshell717 »

Hi everyone, I'm so new to all this and I was wondering if there was anyone out there that will be having a December transfer. This is my first attempt and am going to be starting my meds very soon. Just curious about what to expect and to hear some of your stories. Thanks! :)

Hi Mishell!
I am planning a frozen embryo transfer on December 2. My first IVF started in August and ended with all of my embryos (4) being frozen because I took my medicine on the wrong day! Sooo....my clinic has been trying to supress me since October 11 and so far no luck. I go back on Friday to see if I am supressed. If I am, I will be getting my embies back on December 2. If am not supressed I am giving up on this cycle! I hope I can join you for a December transfer and I wish you the best of luck!

Hey mishell,
welcome!

I am currently waiting for my af to arrive, but it's taking
forever.
I had my first fresh ivf in august which ended with an early
miscarriage in September.
I had a fet the end of September which resulted in another
early miscarriage.
I just talked to by doctor today and they want me to wait
for my next af and we will go from there. We keep getting
closer each time so I'm encouraged by that.
Any questions ask away and I will try my best to answer.
Good luck!

Hi Mishell, this is my first IVF too. I thought at first I would be doing all this in November but after talking to my RE I now know that there is much more to all of this then I realized and will be doing my retrival/transfer the 1st week of Dec. I am on BCP, Metformin, baby asprin, and prenatal vitamins right now. I'll stop BCP on the 18th and start my injectables on the 28th. WHEW!!! Sometime this all feels a little much but I know it will all be worth it in the end!!!! Have you started any meds yet? This is a really helpful sight and everyone has been very sweet and given me lots of great advice. Let me know if I can help in any way, I don't know to much but I'm here to listen! Baby dust & prayers sent your way!

Hi, i am seeing my RE on Wed re a date for FET. We had our 1st IVF in Aug and got a BFP with a m/c at 10 weeks. We have 2 frosties. I had a D & C 5 weeks ago and no sign of AF. My RE wants me to have 2 reg periods before doing the FET, I guess this will be sometime in the new year. I'm still mourning the loss . Talk about going from one intense feeling to another. We were so thrilled that our first IVF worked (even with wicked Hyperstimulation syndrome), then to have a m/c was devastating. It still doesn't feel real... Our 5 yr old son yesterday asked when he would become a big brother... I just hope and pray that it happens. Anyway, I used this website heavily right after the IVF and find myself still checking despite having nothing active going on right now.

I just feel for everyone that is going through this crazy journey for something that comes so easily to most... I hope to have some FET buddies when our time comes.

Nicole- I'm so sorry for your loss.. I also just had
a miscarriage and am having a hard time picking
up the pieces. Thankfully I didnot need a d &c as
mine was quite early and I was able to pass everything
on my own. My doctor wants me to wait to get af
as well as I guess they don't consider the mc as one.
It's taking forever to get here, as sad as I am from our
loss I'm ready to get the ball moving again.
I hope you start to heal from all this saddness really soon.
Saying a little prayer for you!

hi!

Krys - I remember you from our Oct FET board (I think!). I'm glad to hear that you are ready to do it again.

My story is kinda sad and long. Most recently, a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks and D&C at 10 weeks. It's been EIGHT looooong weeks since my D&C and NO PERIOD. Ugh. So now I'm on a progesterone withdrawal protocol (5 days of progesterone) to make me get my period - if my period goes well and flushes out this crazy 18mm lining I've got now - we can start our FET!

I had been really hoping to be pregnant by December, since December 26 is the one year anniversary of losing our twins at 22 weeks. What a nightmare. I can't believe it's been a year.... hopefully I'll have a FET and BFP before then!

Nice to meet you all!
8 IVF+6 FET=6 BFN+8 BFP =

-b/g twins 22w (12.09)
-mc 10w (9.10)
-Micha (7.19-24.11) & Asaf (7.19-28.11) born at 24w
-mc 5wk (2.12)
-no HB at 18w (10.12)
-BO (4.13)-
-mc 6wk (9.13)

last attempt - donor sperm - baby girl born healthy July 2014

It is so nice to meet and hear from everyone. I too had to wait a long while to finally get af but thank goodness it started sunday. Today I will go in for my 3 day fsh bloodwork and I start bcp pills tomorrow.

Ryann- I truly hope you get to have your FET on Dec 2. That would put us close to eachother. My first fresh cycle transfer is expected to be Dec 8. I am hoping that will be it but I hope I can produce enough eggs incase I need to do some FET in the future.

Easley-it looks like we are also on a close timeframe being that I am hoping for a dec 8 transfer. I have only been on prenatals and start bc tomorrow. Haven't heard much about baby aspirin..what does that help do?

Kris, Nancy, and Leorira- I am so sorry to hear about your losses. Actually, I had a similar situation wuith Nancy with my my ectopic ordeal last December. It really was an emotional roller coaster and I am hoping that this December will be our year.

I noticed that my dr prescribed progesterone suppositories.. Never used suppositories before. I am a little freaked out by these and am wondering if it is just part of the process and if anyone lese has had to use these in the past. I guess i am just a little overwhelmed with the meds all together. Scared of needles I guess but I know it will all be worth it in the end. Sending baby dust to you all and look forward to going through this journey with you all. :)

Mishell...Thanks and I truly hope I get to have my transfer the second as well...it has been such a long process. I first saw my RE in November of 2009 and didn't even make it to a transfer until September 2010, which was canceled anyways. I do the suppositories as well. That's actually why my transfer in September got canceled, I started my suppositories a day late. I have heard horror stories about both the PIO and the suppositories (mine are Crinone) but I would rather the goopy junk then add more needles. I wish you the best of luck and I can't wait to see our BFPs together!

Leoria...So glad to see your doc is finally helping you out to get AF. I actually do progesterone every month to bring on AF because I don't get it on my own. Normally it comes really quick after stopping, but the first time after my surgery it took 14 full days. I hope she rears her ugly head soon for you so you can move on to your BFP!

Krys...I'm sorry it is taking so long to get your ball rolling. Hopefully waiting out 2 AFs is just what your body will need to heal and carry a baby to full term! Saying lots of prayers for you!

Nicole...I'm sorry for your loss. My first fresh I was being watched for OHSS because my E2 was going really high really quick. They thought about canceling my transfer for that reason, decided to keep it on, then I screwed up on my progesterone. Go figure. So I, too, am heading into my first FET. I hope this is it for both of us!

Nancy... I know I haven't posted much in our fall thread, but I am truly sorry for your BFN. I'm glad your getting the ball rolling again.

Easley...When I first saw my RE in November of 2009 I thought I would be starting right away! I was suprised at how much needed to be done before we even got to start! Such a long process, but I jsut know it will be worth it in the end!

Hello everyone,
trust you all are having a good day. I have been home
with the flu the last two days and it's really giving me
a run for my money. Hopefully I get my strength back
so I can return to work tomorrow.
I'm going to attempt some personals, please forgive me
if your name is missing.

Mishell- I did progesterone shots and they were not very
nice. The only complaint I've really heard about the suppositories
is that they can be quite messy. I was terrified of needles
when I started on this journey I was actually a regular fainter
at almost ALL my appointments. I can say it does get easier.
I'm an old pro now lol!! I'm also hoping December is the month
for us.. I will be praying really hard right along side of you.

Leorirall- yes I was on the October fet board for a little while.
Thanks for remembering. I wish we both were not back here again
but I'm happy to have found another amazing support team. I totally
understand you wanting to be pregnant by december. We were
looking so forward to telling our families at Christmas that our dreams
had finally come true. However I'm left picking up the pieces once again
too.. I hope your dream comes true really soon!

Ryann- I'm sorry that this cycle is dragging on for you, I can sympathize
as I was stuck in beta he'll for like 4 weeks, worst month of my life. They
want us to relax, I have a hard enough time doing that on a good day. I'm right
with you, waiting for the go ahead with my fet. I have 5 frozen embies left
thankfully :)!

Lynne- I'm sorry that you're hurting.. This journey is so not fair. I'm sorry
that you have gone through so many cycles and are still waiting for your
mircle. I feel like giving up alot, but something inside of me doesn't let me.
Just when I feel like I have nothing else left to give I totally shock myself
and keep pressing on. I pray that your hope will be restored, that you will
have an overwelming peace this next time around... Cheers to December
pregnancies!!!

Hugs!

Krys- thanks for your positive words :) sorry to hear you have the flu, last time I had the flu I chugged 3 large glasses of emergen-c and I was able to kick it in record time. Hope you are able to do the same!

Hi ladies, I would like to join your group. I am doing FET #2 sometime during the 1st or 2nd week of Dec. I do not have a definaite date yet. I start Lupron on Sunday Nov 14. I cannot wait to get this rolling already. I had my 1st fresh IVF tranferring 2 in Aug and got preggo with 1. Unfortunately 5 weeks in had a miscarry. Thankful no D&C. I had my 1st FET in Sept and BFN. So we are now moving ahead for #2, and we will be tranferring 2.

Any of you ladies take flax seed or CoQ10? some ladies are taking it on one of the other threads I talk in and was wondering if anyone here knew aboout it. I will ask my RE when I got see him once I get my period but that will not be until 10 days after I start Lupron.

Jcbaby- I would be interested to hear more about the benefits of flax seed with ivf. I have been reading a little bit about red raspberry leaf tea, you really can find conflicting views on everything on the Internet.
