mellow4 wrote:Jenmink~ A lot of women take tests until the hcg is out of their system...and then wait a day or two and test again to POAS. I got a very strong positive at 7dp5dt. It's hard to say what you will get and when. Every woman is so different. I would say test away as long as you want too. I did on my last cycle, everyday for like 5 days straight, finally got a bfp on the day of my beta, so that was very different from the other one. Good luck to you! Can't wait to hear your news.
I had an interesting appointment today. My RE wasn't there, her dad was, and I am not a fan. Impersonal and in a hurry to do nothing. I left a bit frustrated, especially when I found out that HE would be the one I am dealing with this whole week. UGH. Anyway, it wasn't bad news, just a bit irritating. I have about 12-14 or so around 11mm. He took a quick guess and was all up in my business for less than a minute, while whipping that wand around like I was a joy stick. Lovely. Then he decided right then and there to change my meds and drop me down in dosage...HELLO? For what reason, I don't know. I have to wait until tomorrow to hear how my E2 levels are looking before they actually do drop me tomorrow night. The great news in all this was that all the follies seemed to be right around the same size, which is huge for me. I usually have a couple over-achievers that take the lead. So far so good. I don't go back in until Thursday for the next scan. Overall it went well, I just hope the RE is nicer next time. I am thinking I will tell him what I thought about how he treated me....will see.
Mellow:
Sorry to hear about your appointment today. There is nothing more frusterating when you have an impersonal RE helping you through a very delicate and emotional process. LOL at the joystick comment. I never thought about that but YOU ARE SO RIGHT! That is what it's like!! Especially when they can't find a damn ovary to look at ugh!
About POAS-- I am not taking a trigger because I am doing an FET. Do people normally trigger with an FET!!?? Now I am concerned that I should be taking a trigger but the nurse told me no!! So in the case I don't take the trigger should I start testing 3-4 days after the transfer of the 6 day blasts? I wonder how long it takes for a BFP to show up on a stick.
Hope your next appointment goes better, I would tell the Dr how he made you feel. Maybe he doens't realize what a jerk he is being.. Good luck!

oops I'm sorry Jen...not paying attention. You wouldn't have had a trigger to test out if you are doing FET. In that case....they say that implantation usually occurs 8-10 days after fertilization. It takes a day or two for the hcg to be picked up in the urine stream, but you would be safe to start at about 5 days after a blastocyst transfer I would think. Just know that sometimes it does take up until the beta day to get the correct results. I think on FET's it might take a little longer to show up as a BFP, not sure why, but I have heard this by many. In any case, just test every day, heck test 2 or 3 times a day if you want....do whatever floats your boat, we will all be here to support you.
mellow..sorry about your krusty RE experience... maybe you SHOULD give him a lil feedback.. gawd, these people really need to be sensitive! good luck at the next sns

mellow-- what a crappy experience that you certainly don't need to be bothered with right now... don't people realize that we are already crazy enough with this whole process and meds that we don't need any extra bullsh*t to push us over the edge!!
I know I am missing a lot of people. Best wishes to all!

Bichonmom~ Yippee!!! That is excellent! Great news! Very well could be twins.
Karenscorpio~ You are quite the egg maker aren't you. Good job and rest up!
Rio~ how did things go with the transfer? Are you excited to be PUPO? We are excited for you.
Krisnjer~ It's it torture to have to wait...honestly I think the wait for the first ultrasound is worse than the initial 2ww.
AFM~ Okay, well got my labs back, and....I do have to lower my dosage. My E2 was fairly high for only 5 days of stims. It was 775. So they are lowering me to I don't hyperstim. I wish he would have spent more time measuring and getting a more accurate view of what was going on in there. We will see on Thursday, although I don't know if it is a good idea to wait that long until we take another look at things. The party in my ovaries has begun.. Woo Hoo!
Bishon- how exciting!!! Whether its 1 or more that sounds like a great first beta!!
Karen- wow that's a lot of eggs!
Rio- how did your transfer go today? Congrats on being PUPO!
Mellow- glad they are getting your meds adjusted. Best of luck with the stimming.
Good luck to everyone in stimming or getting ready for the transfer.
AFM- I've only been in bed a little over 1 day and am already bored. I actually forgot how much being on bed rest stinks. Luckily I know all this will be worth it in the end. I hate the 2ww and always freak myself into thinking every sneeze or cough is going to ruin things. I know I'm just being anal but I don't want to screw this up since we don't have any more frosties and can't afford a fresh cycle right now. Fingers crossed!!
Mellow: So glad to see you moving along...very exciting!!! I am so happy for you... I got the green light to go ahead with our next IUI so I started my Gonal-F tonight! Nothing like getting right back in the game to get my mind off my BFN. Looks like we might be PUPO buddies--with you a few days ahead of me!! All depends on how my stimming goes, but last cycle I stimmed for only 7 days before triggering. Sending lots of baby dust your way.

Margi~ That is great news. I'm glad they are letting you go right on in to the next IUI. I pray this time is the charm for you. I will be glad to have you as a buddy, again. Lets make this time the TIME! haha
Hey girls, wondering if you could help me out with E2 info...where have you been on your scan days? I am nervous that it's going to get too high and this RE will cancel if it does. I am going to think positively, but since they aren't going to see me again until Thursday, I feel a little worried. I wish the other RE was there, I could at least talk to her about it. UGH.
