Lauren, that is heartbreaking news. And to think you had to wait extra time to find out bad news to boot. What a major bummer to put it lightly. I really hope and pray your next cycle works for you. As for acupuncture, I started it during my suppression cycle. I started with once a week for a month during suppression. During the IVF stim cycle, I went 2 or 3 times before ER, and 1x between ER and ET. I think my acupuncturist was pretty typical in wanting to see me as close as possible before and after ET as well. She actually came to my ET. If s/he can't come to the clinic, you probably want a session the morning of (or night before) and immediately following your ET. I hope your doc can get you whatever you need to make this work. Good luck and know that I'm keeping an eye out for your success at the beginning of the year.

AFM-THANK YOU ladies for all your support and wishes for my BFP but I just knew it wasnt. I dont know what I can do at this point...the nurse said to call tomorrow and talk to the IVF consultants and see when I could cycle again due to them closing at xmas...she also said they will have a meeting this week and discuss what they can offer me. I am just not handling this well. I know we all feel this way...how we try so hard to do things the right way...and still end up with a BFN So damn FRUSTRATING and HEARTBREAKING. The IVF nurses or the doctor didnt even call me with results which kinda ticked me off...the nurse I see in the office at stim checks did and thats because her and I are close...she called and said.."did anyone call you?" NO been waiting all freaking day! anyway...DH is on his way home. Were talking abot a cycle in January maybe with acupuncture....any comments on ACUPUNcture? how often? when do you start? THANKS AGAIN

Oh Lauren.. I'm so sorry to hear...... and how inconsiderate of your clinic to not call. Try to pamper yourself... have a good cry, couple glasses of wine, hot bubble bath and some loving from your DH... order pizza in and just do what you need to at this time. I've never had a BFN, but I've had lots and lots of bad news, including losing the bfp's we had. It SUCKS no matter what. Much love and huge hugs, kiddo.

Lauren - I am so sorry about your results - I know that there is nothing that anyone can say because it sucks no matter what. I think acupuncture does wonders if for no other reason then you relax so much more. In some ways, the office being closed for the holidays is good because it means that you can take some time for you and get some appointments in and your hormones back in order. The natural instinct is to jump right back in and do back to backs and Im not so sure that's the best for our bodies, but everyone responds differently, so who knows? Thinking of you...

Karen - Awesome news!!!! I would kill for that kind of report! Rest up girl because it sounds like you are going to be a mom soon! Congrats on a great transfer!!

Rio - It does seem like I throw a lot more tantrums on this ivf roller coaster then I have ever done in my life. I'm blaming it on the hormones because I hope that cute little new trait is not here to stay. I'm still praying like crazy that you will get your BFP and I really do feel like this is a great cycle for you so that 2nd line is just around the corner. Still, those damn sticks should be on OUR schedules, don't you think? Don't they realize how much torture it is too wait???? lol Seriously, I have learned so much from you during this cycle and you have been such a positive influence. Keep it up!!

Klinger - Fantastic 4th beta and GL on your us in just a couple of days. YAY!

Karin - Did I miss fertilization rates? Have you heard back yet?

Tammi - I love that you are my cheerleader!! Couldn't ask for a better one!! I hope you get AF soon so that I can watch and cheer you on too. I LOVE hearing about your unique prego symptoms. It gives me quite the visual when it comes to thinking of ou waking up on a drool soaked pillow.

Sonya - GL on your beta numbers. I'm sure that you are getting to the point where you have insanely huge amounts of nervous energy waiting for that ultrasound so I can understand your need for more betas. I'm hoping that the betas continue to give you some relief in the meantime.

Margi - I think you have the whole board cheering you on sweetie!! I can tell you for myself that there are times that I pray harder for you then I do for my success. Keep your chin up because as you told me, it is not quantity but quality. One of those eggs just may contain the little baby you long for. xoxo

Ester - Good luck tomorrow. Can't wait to congratulate you on being PUPO

AFM - I am PUPO!!!! It was only the one, but he/she looks great so far. I was super worried that I would get a call this morning and tell me not to bother coming in, but nope, the little embryo that could has hung around for the duration. It was a rapidly growing 4 cell with almost no fragmentation. I heard from the RE that the other eggs were too immature (GV) for ICSI so they are guessing that it was too early of a trigger or that I am resistant to the hcg shot. There is really no way to tell although I really wish that I had asked for that hpt to check trigger like other people have had. It's amazing how much you learn during every cycle.

Cheri...I am sooo happy to hear that your little guy made it to a 4 cell with almost no fragmentation! That is perfect and awesome! Glad to hear that they have some answers for you on what happened. Yes, I know you can trigger with other things. Take an hpt NOW...if you have hcg in you from the trigger it will still show up...then you will know more as to what happened. Rest and take it easy now. Congrats PUPO!

Sonya- I hope your beta is right on target and it helps to ease the agony of the next two days. I will be thinking of you and wishing nothing but the joyous outcome you deserve!!!!

Lauren- I'm so sorry. Acupuncture does help in my opinion. It helps with stress relief and increased blood flow to the necessary parts. Also it helps connect you on a more spiritual/energy level to being pregnant. Some people find it horse sh$t. Just depends on your perspective. I went yesterday before my transfer and I went right after. Plus I went before starting my cycle and during stims.

Tammy - good call on the hpt. I forgot that I could still check. I just ran and took an hpt right away since I have been lying on the couch all day and haven't gotten up to use the bathroom - the concentration should still be good. AND NO LINE!! That must have been the problem. I took 2 shots of Ovidrel so it should definitely still be in my system, right?

annashope - I'm not giving up hope yet! I'm remembering cassmaster's post and it is still very possible that you're going to have a great beta. So I'm still hoping for you!

margi - Sorry your SnS wasn't what you were hoping for but it sounds like you've got some good follies that still have time to mature with this last night of stims and the trigger. Glad you've got your acupuncture all ready for pre and post-IUI!

AFM, 4th beta came in at 11603 (doubling time 50 hours.) Once again, really happy with that number and now we just wait until Thursday at 9am for the u/s. Is it Thursday yet??

Yay for an awesome beta!! I'm waiting anxiously for WEDNESDAY so will be sure to alert you in time for THURSDAY!

Can't wait to hear your amazing report... how are you feeling??

Ronda...Big Hugs to you, too. I am sitting here drinking a glass of wine for both you and Lou. I am very sorry that both of your due dates are today (Ronda) and Wednesday (Lou). It really sucks. Know that we are all thinking of you both. Great Big Hugs to you both.

DandMe - Stop freaking out. After the HcG level gets around 20,000 the double rate does not apply. The HCG starts to rise slower. This is one reason that clinics do not do Beta test after the week 4 or 5. You just have to relax ( I know hard to do) and wait for your ultra sound.

Guess what ladies???? We have 10 EMBIES! I didn't get the call until about 2pm. I thought I would die waiting. He said that things went perfectly. They actually got 20 eggs and not all were mature. What a relief to get 10. I know that there's always another hurdle, but i feel like we just crossed a big one. I am so grafeful right now. He is expecting a 5 day transfer which is Friday. He will call me on Wednesday with another report. I am SO HAPPY!!!

Lauren - **** **** **** I am so sorry your BFN. Alright you can come to my pity party and drink some wine then, but just you. Dang, I was logging in to check on you and had your blinkie ready! Alright I tell you what, I am going to save that one for your next cycle ok? WE talked already about DHEA, my RE also added femara and I can email you my protocol if you want to look at it, just pm me your email address. I also did acupuncture, I can't say I completely believe in it but I am willing to try anything! I did it for 3 weeks before and then day before retrieval and before and after transfer. Trust me I will be taking over Crazytown. Huge hugs, I am really so sorry, my heart breaks for you. I am praying this next cycle will be it for you!

Karen - awesome news on the embie!!! get him snuggled in! Are you still doing genetic testing after PGD?

Sonya - I am with Tammy, they don't continue to double after a point, in fact it might even go down so step away from the betas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tammy - Thank you for the PMA! DOing an AF dance for you! I also heard that stimming between 10 to 12 days is better but who knows! Maybe your body is different. My RE added Femara don't know if you want to research that. Have you tried an antagonist protocol? I don't know itis such a hard call, you know what worked before and it is risky trying something new... but then again it might do the trick!

Cheri - How awesome you are PUPO I am so happy you made that decision! Yep call me tantrum girl that trait will be here to stay at least 9 months for you you will cry at commercials Thank you for your sweet words, means a lot to have so much support on all this crazyness! 4 cell with no frag is great. At my old clinic this lady was all bummed she transfered 2 , 5 cell embies and fragmented, well she had twins!!!!!!!!!
