Hello! I recently had my third miscarriage last night I was wondring if there is anyone who have experience multiple m/c and what treatment worked for you to have a succesful pregnancy? My RE wants me to have testing done to see if my tubes are blocked. I have no problem with getting pregnant but it's getting pass 5 or 6wks. This is so frustrating and hurtful. I just can't wait for this to work for me and to hold my miracle baby. Looking forward to hear your story. I was put on progesterone meds bc we thought my HCG lvl was low last cycle which costed me to have a m/c. I had hope and faith that the progesterone would help this time but I didn't. I just don't understand .
There is a test that can be done to see if your uterus is shaped right. This is the same that they use to see if your tubes are blocked. If your uterus is not shaped correctly or is malformed, it could be a cause of recurrent miscarriage. Perhaps that is what they are looking for. I had a septate uterus, basically the front and back of my uterus were connected by fiberous tissue. They did a hysteroscopy and resectioned it - basically went up through the vagina and cut the tissue. I have since had a son. There are other kinds of uterine malformations, it is my understanding that they can be overcome. However, there are other causes of recurrent miscarriage, one lady on here had "killer cells". I think the jist is that her body perceived the baby as a foreign object and attacked it. However, her doctor was able to overcome that. There are various blood issues including clotting disorders. My sister had a clotting disorder but was able to have 2 children using blood thinners while she was pregnant. There can be genetic issues. I would have a full work up and see if anything reveals itself.

So sorry for your loss after suffering 2 last yr i know how hard it is for you. I am one of the ladies that was diagnosed with elevated Natural killer cells, we all have them to a certain degree and these cells kill off everyday bugs, viruses etc. However when they are very high the body gets confused and thinks embroyos and feutus are "foreign invaders" and they reject them from the body. I changed ivf clinics after my 2nd m/c as my old clinic will not test for recurrent m/c till after 3 and we couldnt afford finacially or mentally another m/c. Some clinics/docs dont believe in the results of these test and them contributing to m/c but we were willing to try anything, anyway mine was very high. In Ireland these tests are called "Chicago Bloods" and they are literally shipped to Chicago to be tested. To combat these killer cells and reduce them to normal levels we went on Intralpid drips (4 sessions) 1 during stims, 2nd during 2ww, 3rd at 6 wks pg and 4th at 9 wks pregnant, steroids and clexane injections till 12 wks, progesterone suppositories 2 daily till 17 wks and aspirin till 37 wks. While it may sound extreme my levels of killer cells have reduced to below normal and (Please God) i am due my little baby any day. This was our 7th attempt at ivf and 8 yrs ttc, our new clinic thinks this is the main reason that i couldnt get pregnant or hold onto a pregnancy. If i was you i would investigate everything and try anything believe me it is soooo worth it. Please dont give up.

opps sorry posted to wrong name!! Again nunu1007 so sorry for your loss (((((hugs))))) Acutally was just remembering my friend who could conceive naturally but had difficulty in keeping pregnancy all losses between 6-7 wks she just went on aspirin till 37 wks and progersterone till 16 wks she now has a bouncy 9mth baby boy. She had lots of blood tests done after her 4th mc (which was twins) and nothing showed up so as soon as she tested early for the next pregnancy she was put on these meds - she always tests a few days before AF is due.

Nunu1007 – I am so sorry to hear about your recurrent miscarriages. As you can read by my signature, I have lost several pregnancies myself and I miss each and every one of my kids every day. But, I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. In four weeks, I will meet my daughter that I am pregnant with now. To answer your question, I think it is very wise to have yourself tested because there are several things that can be preventing you from progressing with a successful pregnancy. For me, I was tested and my RE found out that I have a clotting disorder (Lupus Antigen) and there are others that exist too. But, the good news is that there are treatments that can help you finally bring your baby home. I am on Heparin (a blood thinner) twice a day and on a baby aspirin daily too to prevent any blood clots and so far so good. I wish you good luck with your testing and then a great nine month pregnancy!
Thanks ladies for your words of comfort. This really makes me feel good. I do have a 8yr old boy so I know its possible. I have an appt w/ my OB/Gyn on the 7th of December so hopefully we will find out what the problem is. Will keep ya'll posted.
