Hi LifeLove,
I personally wanted to warmly welcome you to the group here.

This TTC journey can be a rollercoaster, but we're here to support one another! The crazy thing is so much of us have gone through the same thing. I for myself was very disappointed when we got the news last month that our first IVF cycle failed.

I felt discouraged and angry with so many emotions and when I finally got to see my fertility specialist to go over the report, my first question was "Why didn't this work for us?" Our meeting turned into a 2 hour consultation and he was pretty thorough. He said nothing in life is guaranteed, but what do we have to lose to try again? With that said we are staying positive and realizing all over again that this is our dreams and we are actively pursuing treatment and seeking help in every way possible to make this dream a reality! So with that said we must keep on trying and seeking out the best treatment plan and that's where yours will come in on the 23rd!
Our doctor suggested that we try another cycle and consider taking some of the embryos to see if the chromosomes might be the underlining factor. The test you might liked to research is called PGD or Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis but what's good is ONLY the best embryos would be selected for ET. Definately worth looking into, if you haven't yet? We are going to consider that option IF we try IVF again, but for now we are going to re-test DH defragmentation and see if the vitamins my doctor suggested are working to build up his count to help with the mobility. With unexplained fertility, time can only tell!
But anyway more than anything, we're here if you ever need someone to talk to! I am sorry to hear about your mom/best friend. It's not easy getting over someone like that, in most cases we never do, but as time passes it does get a little easier and the memories will forever be held onto. (My dad who raised my brothers and me passed away in 1999, and I still find myself quoting something funny he said or reflecting back to those days. Perhaps he was the biggest influence of my life!)
