Phyona & Sunshine thanks for your prayers.... But yesterday I poas and got a BFN, I dont go for beta til tuesday, but I would have to think that the stick is right... SO bummed out and now I am not looking forward till Tuesday...
Hi all sorry to butt in kynlee i also POAS today and got a bfn its my first try tomorrow i get my bloodwork done though my spotting has now turned quite heavy fingers crossed that you get a BFP on tuesday i won' t get my results untill then too as theres no lab near by tests take 24hrs! So hopefully we'll share good news on tuesday!
wishigforabump- Welcome Stay positive you can still get a postive feedback tuesday, I have been talking to different people and they say sometimes poas give false negatives... I will say a prayer for you Good luck at beta...
Good luck to both of you girls. Dont loose hope quite yet because you never never know. My nurse strongly advises against home pregnancy tests because they so often give an incorrect reading. My fingers are crossed for you. x
Chrisbaby- I am also with Dr Ken Leong. My situation is that I have PCOS (I was diagnosed early this year) and my husband has a low sperm count (he was diagnosed in June). Dr Leong has a lot of hope for us however I am still terrfied it may never work. It feels like such a long journey and I am such an impatient person who doesnt cope well with uncertainty and waititng.
What is your situation? How long have you been with Dr Leong?
Hi sarah , don't worry about it i have pcos in left ovary and that is the one that is not responding well and we were scared it would overstimulate! DH had a veasectomy 13 yrs ago and reversal was almost impossible after tese his extracted sperm only has 15% motility so icsi it is i have just almost failed my 1st cycle ( i'll know on tues for sure) AF is here with a vengance! But i can asure you i looked into icsi and ivf after talking to many people whose DH had same problem and went on to it thinking they were ok and they ended up getting diagnosed pcos it is very common and a vast number of couples undergoing icsi have them and by far are they the biggest hurdles i know its a long tiring and nerve racking journey but hopefully all will be well in the end but pls don't worry pcos is very common pcod is a bit more complicated !
Hi sorry about your bfn , bfn here too iam afraid been put on obusitol to try and regulate my left ovary pcos so it responds better next time round heard about imsi but I don't think my clinic offers it but it would be great for us due to male factor anyway chin up
Hi ladies. Sorry for being M.I.A. My Internet is still down. Finally I decided to give it a try and reply on my cell phone.
I'm sooo sorry about all the ugly BFNs!! I was so looking forward to heading great news but I'm sure no more than you ladies were. What's next Kynlee and Wishing4bump? You will try another cycle right?
Kynlee and Wishing4bump,
Sorry for responding one day late... You know sometimes it's easy to get lost on here and we never know where we might find the next post, but will promise to try to keep up with everyone a little better! It's devasiating to hear the news with 101 mixed emotions, but at the same time we cannot help but ask the doctor but why? I know you both look forward to seeing the specialist, upon your visit please let us know the findings, recommendations, etc and what he may try differently.
Take Care (and have some fabulous chocolate),

Hi Girls- I am actually taking a break till after the Holidays, to emotional at this point... This is my 2nd bfn... I am not giving up just taking a couple months off.. I go see my Dr Dec 3rd to talk and figure a new cycle out but am going to ask to start closer to Feb...
Wishing4bump- so sorry for the bfn What is imsi( sorry if that is a dumb question)
Hey kynlee not a stupid question at all actually I found out about it in this forums supposedly it is the use of a super magnifying equipment which allows the lab to detect the best sperm for icsi as it has been proved that it's not how they move but how they look that proves import a t to a healthy embryo it seems that fragmentation on the sperm is visible with this equipment.
By the way I have been placed on obusitol to try and regulate my left ovary so that next stimming I might have more eggs on that one I have pcos on the left one but my periods are clockwork anyways the earliest for me is February too as I have to been on these for at least two months depends on the pro
Gress whether I wait until march
I was wondering if any off you have tried a home pregnancy test before officially going in too take the 'official test' at the clinic.
Had my ET on 15 Nov and am already racking my brains after 1 failed attempt in August. Also did everyone take the 2 weeks off work because I am seriously thinking about going back next week Monday, all seems harder the second time round.
hi sarah
small world hey... we have been with ken for abour 18mths. our problem is my lifestyle...i was - until we started trying 2 years ago - an exercise junkie - as a result, l had very low body fat, a very stressed body, deficiencies in minerals and fats...etc..he started us on clomid...nothing. we started ivf in april this year. cycle 1 was cancelled - wake up call for me..l put on 11kg. cycle 2 we pulled 5 eggs, 4 fertilised and 1 implanted. no luck. but we thought - hey at least we know i can produce an egg and we can get it to blast... 3rd cycle - 4 eggs and nothing planted...very poor result...apparantly not reacting to the drugs as l should. i was 400 dosage of fsh and only pulled 4 eggs...ken said to relax and take a few months off. so l went to a natrapath who did a whole lot of tests, and it turns out l am now the riggh weight, but deficient in potassium and magnesium and my body is very stressed. so on a lot of herbs, and now started cycle 4. off the herbs now, but on heaps of mineral supplements. i did google searches and found out that there is a link between low magnesium and infertility - so am hoping that this cycle i at least pull more eggs. it would be devistating to know l have put on weight, taken supplements for months, and we get a worse result than the other cycles..i want to at least pull a good number of eggs..
so this cycle ken has us on the long cycle - which would have been the nasel spray, but world wide shortage..so on the needle equivalent. we started last sunday - so about 20 days of needles to go....fingers crossed.
ken has been helpful, but couldnot tell me why i was not reacting to the drugs as l should be...the natrapath could....so between the 2 of them, i feel finally on track...
i am at mitchem office - where are you?
i have heard so many stories where people in your situation are sucessful..its just a matter of time....i have my fingers crossed for you also!!
wishingforabump- Ok now I under imsi... they actually did something here called icsi pixie ( I think that is how its spelled) it gives it the best odds and since its trial only certain people get it you have to fit a certain measurement and since my dh has all 3 things wrong with sperm we got picked.. But still didnt work for me Maybe will be doing our next cycles together then since you are doing yours in the new year...
tiger4444- I have done poas both times before I got beta 1... they both showed a negative but had me prepared before I had to hear it officially so I guess that was better for me... I still cried both times the Nurse told me it was a BFN but at least I already new, I think if I got it as a surprise bfn It would of been worse for me... Alot of people have been saying that even if it says bfn doesnt mean it is right it could still be a bfp at beta... SO if its negative dont get yourself down cause it could be wrong that is why the DR dont like us using them... Some women dont like to poas for that reason... The 1st timeI only tok the day of et off cause my Dr said thats all I needed and not to do much for the 2ww... the 2nd round I took 3 days off and did nothing for 2ww... I think every Dr says differently but do whatis going to make you feel good... unfortunately my work wont give me 2 weeks off so I only can do a few days at ET... Good luck PUPO
