Re: Looking for November Cycle Buddies

Post by blairwh58 »

blessedmom- Im glad you were able to share with your mom. Im sure that cheered her up some and Im sure she understands why you have been more distant. Just try to stay positive. I think they try to take them out around 20mm but Im sure every office is different. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do.

SDtrying- Yea I could never figure out the picture thing either. I have tried on previous boards but had to email my pic to someone so they could post it for me. May have to do that again if I still cant figure it out. I think you should still stay positive about this cycle since its still early. As for advice on the next cycle I think its up to you. We transferred our final 3 blasts this time...and one wasnt as good quality. You may just want to go all in and put all 3 in and hope for the best before moving onto another trying fresh cycle.

ladybugg- Wow- 17 is great. Hoping for a great fertilization report today!!

jenmink- Its crazy that our betas ended up on the same day. As for the chemical I had with the first cycle...I cant remember which day I started testing maybe 8dp3dt but it started out negative. Then I started to get very very faint positives...I never got a strong positive (except a digital test that said pregnant). So when I went for the beta she said the urine test was inconclusive but that we would see what the beta said. The beta ended up being 32 and then dropped with the next beta. Stay positive though...Im sure you will be posting great news later tonight!! If you have continued to get positives I highly doubt its a chemical...especially since you starting getting the positives so early on.

healingheart- I know how crazy things can get and how easy it is to forget your BCP. Im sure it will all work out still so dont let it bother you too much. I know exactly how you feel about looking into the mirror thinking about what it would be like to really be pregnant. As we have been trying over the past 2 years we have watched tons of people around us get pregnant, some more than once. Just thinking about when it will be me with the little pregnant belly always brings tears to my eyes. If I were you to keep track of all the meds I made myself a calendar with what I needed to take every day (pills and shots). As I did them I highlighted it off the calendar. I kept it by the bed so I never forgot. Good Luck!!

annashope- WHat a beautiful wedding pic!! I agree its very nice to finally put names to faces. Like I told SDTrying...I will try my best to put up a picture of me and DH, but last time I tried it never worked. Either my photos were too big or it said I didnt have access. Anyway...if all else fails maybe I can email them to someone to post for me? I think your question about the IUI...I would go for it with those #s. I think over 20 million is good enough for an IUI....we even tried with 18. And like you said its a lot cheaper route to go while you try to save up. I have a friend who ended up with twins after an IUI..good luck with whatever you decide on.

margi- You have always been a welcome member (and not a stalker or crasher). I really hope the IUI proved successful for you and you get to share your good news very soon. You just need 1 strong one to end up with a baby so I will keep my fingers crossed.

easley- Glad the mock transfer went great. I definitely agree that doing anything with a full bladder makes you feel like you may pee on whoever is down there. Dont be nervous about the shot thing. Its a mental game really. The first time is the worst and it gets better every time you do it. The stomach shots are actually very very easy compared to the IM shots. Just grab some skin, push it in and your good to go. Take it from someone who has been doing 1 stomach shot and 2 IM shots a day. You get used to it!

mellow- Woo hoo for a Saturday transfer!! Sounds like some good embryos too! Before you know it you will be in crazytown and PUPO.

rio-Woo hoo for a darker line!!! You are definitely miserable for a good cause so keep that in mind. When is your beta again??

AFM- Tested again this morning (I know its pyscho but I just wanted to make sure it was still there) and luckily it was darker and still positive. I showed DH again and he said its such a wierd feeling because hes so used to being disappointed after every cycle. Beta is only 2 hours away woo hoooo. Just hoping for good news!!

Jenmink- I haven't had a cycle with 16 eggs.... I was complaining about the unfairness of a coworker having sixteen frozen embies when I only managed to get one fertilized egg. :D This is my first IVF cycle. I'm trying to stay in a positive frame of mind today, just sitting on pins and needles until my dr's office calls with a status report to see if they will schedule me an appointment for transfer on Monday.

Izzy- I actually have hypothyroid, and have been on synthroid for several years. I know a few people without previous thyroid issues that suddenly developed hypothyroid during pregnancy. It should be fairly easy to control with meds, and since they noticed it early it really shouldn't be a problem. Have they already put you on meds, and if so, how long ago? Thyroid meds usually take about a month before you will get an accurate idea of how well they are working. By the way, do you know what "through the roof" is in terms of your actual TSH number? Just curious.

Good morning everyone. Though I would post a quickie this morning before heading to work.

Sdtrying#2 - Please try not to make yourself crazy. It’s still early in the game so don’t give up and keep that PMA. We are all rooting for you so much.

Blair - Can’t wait to here your Beta #s today. I am really excited for you two ( or 3 or 4 ).

Blessed - I’m really glad you decided to share your IVF adventure with your mom. I know she is excited for you and would not want you to stop your cycle on her account. It’s also good to hear that your dad and brother are stepping up to help out more so that you can spend time concentrating on making your miracle. I am hoping for the best possible news for your mom.

Cwehrs - Keep telling yourself “I only need one...I only need one.....I only need one”. If you are not currently doing acupuncture, may I highly suggest it for you. It will help in sooo many ways. I don’t presume to know too much about hypothyroidism except that my mom has suffered with it all of my adult life. But, I do know that acupuncture may help your medicine be more effective. I also know that it can do miracles with implantation of little embies. I have been doing it for over 2 years now and it has helped stabilize my hormones, strengthen my kidneys (which are hormone regulators) and increase good blood flow not to mention regulate my periods. I will be thinking about you.

Mellow - how are things progressing for you. Any word?

Karenscorpio and margi - How are you doing in the 2ww? You going crazy yet?

Gotta go. Everyone have a good Friday. It’s supposed to snow her in Bend, Oregon and I am kind of looking forward to it.

Oh.....also, I would love to know where all you ladies are from. So far I know that OK, Penn, and NC are in the house. Where are all the rest of your from.

Good Friday morning to you lovelies :)

Rio~ how's that belly feeling? I'm sorry you are dealing with this, it's super uncomfortable. Just keep eating protein and drinking lots of fluids. Hopefully it will start to ease, or at least not get worse. I am worried that I am getting it too. I look 5 months along. By the end of the day it's not a pretty sight. :D

SD~ Still no BFP yet? FET's take a little longer. Still very hopeful for you.

Blair~ How's the Mama? Waiting on beta results today? Hope it's great news, you deserve it.

Easley~ Thanks for the update, glad to hear things are moving along for you. Are you getting excited?

ladybugg~ That is a great report. :)

Jenmink~ What's the scoop today dear? Thinking of you. Hope your beta bring you good news.

Blessed~ Thinking of you and your family today. Saying a prayer for your mom, and hoping you feel good about whatever you decide about going forward or not.

Healingheart~ One thing about this stuff that they don't tell you...you are going to be scatter brained. All these meds and such leave us all forgetful. I forgot my lupron one morning. It made me feel sick to my stomach. Don't beat yourself up too badly over this, just give your RE a call and see what they say.

Anna~ Thinking about you. Hope you are feeling hopeful again. (((HUGS)))

Margi~ Hey lady, how ya feeling today? Glad to have you as a 2ww buddy again. :) Glad to have the distraction of the holiday while we are in this 2ww too. Should be fun!

Karenscorpio~ Still not caving, huh? :) More power to ya. When will you know something, I know you've told me before, but I am extremely forgetful these days. Hope for good news!!

myizzy and cwhers~ Welcome to the group! Good luck to you both. :) These are fantastic ladies.

Readywaiting~ Are you feeling it yet??? Crazy town that is...Congrats on being PUPO. Hope you get some good news soon.

Kris~ How was your mountain get away? Sounds lovely.

Shrunk....we haven't heard from you in a while, how are things? Good I hope.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone, if so will catch ya later. :)

A funny thing happened yesterday. I got a call last night from the embryologist for my update. I figured it was a mistake since RE had called to tell me how things were looking. Anyway, he said "I have your report here, and let's see...Wow, you have 11 grade A 8 cell embryos. That is excellent." I was kinda in shock, and told him I have never in my life had a report that good. So glad they listened to me and let me wait to transfer on day 5. There would have been no way to pick the best two yesterday. I'm sure by tomorrow, it will be easier to tell what we are looking at. I still don't have a time to go in, so I think I will be giving them a call, just in case I slipped through the system since the had me scheduled for yesterday. I am super sore still, and the bloat is beyond embarrassing. I'm a freak show! Some of our company left today, and the rest leave on Sunday, so I am trying to get my house as clean as I can today, so bed rest doesn't drive me totally insane with a messy house. Busy busy.

Hope you all have a good Friday. :)

Well I thought i would share what I know...then I can update later once I get the actual beta results. Went in for the urine test and blood work. They said that the urine test turned so dark so fast that they can only assume its going to be a good beta. RE said I should get the results sometime today between 3-4EST. And my boss is taking our team out to lunch and then sending us home wooo hooo. So I will keep everyone posted once I find out the actual number. Then I go back monday morning for the 2nd beta. Happy Friday.

Hello There....I am on my first tround of IVF. I have been on Lupron for 9 days and had an ultrasound and blood work this morning. I have a cyst on my right ovary and may need to continue on lupron and extra week before I can start my stim meds :( Waiting for the blood work to come back to see what my estrogen levels were. I have prepared myseld for it not to go smoothly since every step has been a surprise thus far. We will see...just staying positive and not stressing out.

Jenmink/Blair - prayers for super duper beats today!

Sorry for being selfish right now but I went to my OB because some awesome girls here pushed me to get checked out. My beta wasn't until Monday but my OB ordered a beta today stat! So I find out today! Please send me your prayers of a healthy beta! He saw tons of fluid in my stomach but ovaries were normal size with cysts. I still feel like crap but hoping it is for a wonderful cause!!!
I will try and catch up and do personals later, I did read and I am thinking of everyone!

Rio- sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable... I'm having quite a bit of bloating and soreness myself. But fabulous that you get your beta today!!!!

So far so good on my little egg-baby! Still dividing at this point, so I have a tentative transfer scheduled for Monday morning at 10 am. All my fingers and toes are crossed on this one! Even if it doesn't take, I at least want the chance that a transfer gives, you know? It would be so depressing to go through all this crap and then not have anything to show for it. But that's not gonna happen, 'cause I've got one tough little egg!

Rio- how exciting you get to find out today!! I can't wait to hear the results.

Jenmink- howd it go??? I'm so anxious to hear the level.

Well I just about had a mental breakdown. They said they would call between 3 and 4 and at 3:55 I hadn't heard anything. So I finally called the office and the receptionist answered. I told her the situation and she said she would check. Then she came back and said that they just got the results but no one was in house to read them so I would have to wait until monday. I started freaking out and crying and asked why they couldn't just read the paper to me. Then another lady in the office got on the phone and said she was breaking the rules because a provider should review before giving to patient. Anyway thankfully she felt bad for me and told me the level was 317!!!! Not too bad for 11 days after the transfer. Just wanted to share.

Blessed - I'm happy to hear that your cycle is going well. I'm continuing to send prayers for you mom. Is she holding up ok?  It's great your family can work together in shifts.

Blair- look forward to your official beta. What an exciting day!!!!  I'm in NJ near NYC. I went to high school in KY. Have lots of friend there still.

Ladybug - you are one hell of a woman. Four kids and being a carrier for someone. You must be Superwoman!!!  You are giving such a gift. I almost had to get a carrier bc of cervical damage from my twins pregnancy/failed vaginal cerclage but thankfully I was able to fix my problem with a transabdominal cerclage put on pre-pregnancy.  Happy you got a great report today!!!

SDtrying-you have plenty of time for a BFP!  My last cycle gave me a faint line the day before beta. Beta was only 71. Didn't know it was twins at the time. So had I only had one I don't think it would have registered!  That is why I don't think it is a good idea for me to POAS until Monday if at all. I will get really down if it is negative. So I'm just trying not to go there.  Beta is Tuesday.

Izzy- yeah this 2ww really is hard. I forgot how hard. Especially bc the PIO shots mimic pregger symptoms. Ugh!  I might POAS on Monday. Beta is Tuesday.

Margi- how is this 2ww treating you?  When is your beta?  I have four days to go!!!

Mellow-awesome news about your embies!!!  You must be so excited!  I'm sure they will tell you when to come when they call you in the morning. That is how my RE does it. You are almost there. How many are you transferring?  The more i think of it I can't believe I only transferred one!  I'm nuts!  And these damn doctors and embryologist better be right!!!!! Hehehe. Ok. I'm starting to crack!  My beta is Tuesday. Might POAS Monday if I feel confident. If not I will POAS after I return from beta on Tuesday to ease the agony of the wait.

Healingheart- the other girls are right. Scattered brain city when doing IVF. I had to write down the meds I had to take each day.  I finally just got a pill box that organizes the week. Hang in there!

Readywaiting- how are ya?

Sonya- has the reality of yesterday settled more into your mind?  I am so happy you and dh got such great news. You deserve it.  :D

Jenmink-we are so excited to hear your betas tomorrow?  What's with the torture of withholding beta#1?   :?: That would never work for me. I'd be at my OB so fast it would spin heads.  Hehehe. :D

AFM -starting to obsess over how my boobs feel. And of course the PIO is totally mimicking pregger symptoms. I'm hoping they get more sore. That was a sign the last time. Still not caving. Today is only 4dp6dt. Need more time for hcg to show up. Especially since I know there is no way for twins this time. My first twin beta was 71. So if I had only had one I doubt it would have shown up on a HPT until beta day.  Anywho.  I know every pregnancy is different. I just don't want to see a negative this early. Bad for my karma. Especially after all the big talk from my doctors and the embryologist about how likely I was to get preggers from this one perfect embie!!! I know. I'm starting to crack. Time to go meditate and visualize my embie producing hcg!!!!   Hehehehe

Blair - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twins? Awesome beta, how many days post retrieval?

cwehrs - I remember a girl on my 2008 thread that had only one embryo, she transfered and got pregnant and had a baby! So all it takes is one god baby in there! Praying he/she will grow beautifully, and even if there is some fragmentation, don't worry, they still make gorgeous babies! Fingers crossed for you!

danielle - crazy how there is just one bump after the other but in the end that's what we want right? A Big bump! Good luck!

Mellie - you are so awesome for stopping by! I sent you a PM!

mellow - I look 8 months along, it is ridiculous, all hard and it hurts like heck. Your embies sound amazing! WOW! BFP for sure! How many will you transfer?

blessed - I am so glad you shared with your mom! I am also glad you are moving on with IVF. 20 follies is wesome!

SD trying you have a photobucket account? you can upload to there, then resize and copy the [img] code. I love your bowlof ice cream thing but you will get a positive!!! It is early to get a line... is DS still jumping on you?

lady - great fert report!

jenmink - any news yet? I am dying to hear here! My beta hell was an ectopic so beta was 33 then 57 then 57 then 44 (2 days apart) and then 260 up and then up again, but it was ectopic, 4 weeks of beta hell then a methotraxate shot to end it and a slooooow beta drop. Congrats on your promotion!

helaing - don't forget to post a picture of you with BCP glues to your forehead ;) You WILL watch your belly grow! BFP and PMA thoughts for you!

Anna - I love love love your pic, gorgeous! Now how come the shpherd got left out of the pic? Do I need to contact German Shepherd Equality rights group? ;) yes do an IUI!!! I hope you can get your IVF funds together, I don't know about #s, my Dh has 64% morphology, 34 million count but 10% motility and we were told no way IUI would work for us, but you have better movers!

Margi - did you POAS yet? ;)

Wow, this is quite a group of ladies and it makes it a teensie bit intimidating to post! :D I'm new to this site as of today having learned about it from the fertility threads on whattoexpect.com. I wish I had realized sooner that these types of sites were available. I was so naive and could have used the support the first time around!

This time I am feeling more educated, prepared, and confidant. I am 7dp2dt and have a Beta on Tues which also happens to be my first day back to work. I am a crazy busy "hopeful" career Mom and really think my hectic schedule prevented success the first time. So this time I took time off and have been meditating twice a day, reading, relaxing, and scouring the web for something that may help me feel like high levels are immenent. Alas- I have found nothing. Like many of you have described I have symptoms...symptoms that could be caused by any and all of the drugs we are taking! :?

POAS is not an option for me since I had a chemical pregnancy last time. I would hate to get a pink plus sign only to have my heart decimated on Tuesday! But believe me I have been tempted. The 2ww is a doozie!

Hubby and I have been TTC for 4 years off and on. Silly me, I put us on hold after the first 6 mos to focus on my career after a big promotion. Most of us never dreamed at the time we first started that the timing wasn't somewhat within our control.
Ahhhh... How I'd like to have those 2 yrs and slightly younger embies now! :D

We live in a beautiful, rural part of Michigan...over 3 hours from the closest decent RE which has made this even more of an adventure, and also makes having "buddies" to lean on even more valuable.

Blair- I was born and raised in Etown... It's good to be a Kentucky woman.

Thanks for letting me join in to the fun in the 11 th hour. Looking forward to sharing the trials and tribes of this unique experience that has been thrust upon us with all of you.

Prayers, peace, and a little bit of luck to you all.
