Hey DandMe, I wont be joining you in the July group, since mine is a May baby (and hopefully an eleven month pregnancy isn't on the cards for anyone!, unless of course I was a horse....), anyway, enough silliness from me, but I just wanted to join Angela in saying that I've been following your blog for a while and was thrilled to log on the computer this morning and see that BFP for you!

Hi! I've been following the fall group in IVF but had little to say during my treatment.

We're currently 8w1d and I've been suffering with terriblenausea. I literally have to keep a plastic cup in my car so that I can conveniently vomit at stop lights (much to the horror of the car next to me). Is any one else terribly ill?

Hi Ladies,

I'm almost 6weeks and right now I'm pregnant with twins so I'm not sure when I will delivery sometime in the summer so I would love to join this group.

Happy Bunny - I have some nausea throughout the day but no vomiting yet. Sorry that you are going through this. Hopefully it will get better in the coming weeks. Its all for a good cause you are right! I know Ginger Ale definitely helps me with my nausea

Sonya - congrats on the h/b. I know that you have been worried about another B/O so I hope this is a big relief to you.

AFM - I'm have to be honest, I completely freaked out about it being twins, I couldn't stop crying. I don't know why but it completely shocked me. I guess because when I got pregnant with DD, I had 5 embries transferred and only 1 took, but this time we had 2 5d blasts and so far both took. Now, I'm also worried that all of this worrying would be for nothing, because when I had my u/s the tech thought the 2nd sac was actually just a clot of blood so I've been researching the vanishing twin syndrome so that might happen. Honestly, I really don't want it too though. If each baby is strong and meant to be born each should. I guess it was just a shock of when you think you are only going to have 1 more and find out it might be 2 at one time. So, just trying to take it one day at a time. Enough of my craziness.

Hugs!

Baby... I know what you mean.... you can only put so much on the thread before it starts to hurt others who are still waiting for their bfp. Believe me, I know. I'm super happy and loving being where i am, but I am super aware of how difficult it is to get a bfn or worse.... I guess after a time we have to dim our spotlights and move this part of the journey into a more respectful light.

I can't believe that just a short time ago we were obsessing about everything... all that seems a world away and now there's just this... waiting.. and being on something resembling solid ground. Yes, we convinced them to let David in for the entire ultrasound! Sooo wonderful.

So how are you doing? Has this sunk in yet? I am completely weirded out and in shock still. I'm just so used to 'wanting' and wishing others well while licking my own wounds. This is freaky new ground for both myself and DH.

And I hardly have any symptoms. Bit of a sore back, tired, bitchy mostly, and that ever lasting tightness/pulling around my uterus. You???

That's very exciting and very scary too! Don't be worried or feel bad about being freaked out. I'm freaked out that I only have one, and we want more than one. The thought of doing this AGAIN is just ... SIGH. LOL You must be really shocked, but in time it'll sink in and you'll be able to wrap your head around it. And there is a possibility that it's a vanishing twin.. You are right.. if it's meant to be then it'll be, no matter what.

How are your symptoms besides the crying? LOL And.. HUGE congrats again ! :)

Not me.. I have sudden, powerful but short bouts of nausea here and there but rarely anything that lasts more than a few moments. Where I gag and eyes water for a time and I think it's so funny I am laughing the entire time. I'm sorry that you are having such a tough time. Have you tried anything to relieve it? I hear there's something called preggo pops that are all the rage. I was so sick with my first two I wanted to die, but no idea when it all started. I'm just about 8 weeks so it could happen any time or not at all. When did it start?

Congrats big time on your news! Where are you from and how long have you been trying?

I never actually tried because I found out at age 23 that there was a problem. I had an ectopic rupture which resulted in tube loss. The doctor told me then that it was just a matter of time before I lost my other tube the same way. By 28 I was tubeless and I accepted it. I was on the birth control pill both times.

Last year, at age 35, I decided that I was tired of accepting infertility and my husband and I saved for IVF. Fortunately, we got a positive our first shot at age 36.

I'm still stunned. For nearly all of my adult life, pregnancy has not been a possibility for me so getting used to the idea is amazing. Some days, it doesn't seem real.

The constant nausea started about 6.5 weeks. I've tried popsicles to suppress the sickness but all they do is buy time. My mother was violently ill during her pregnancy with me; I wonder if that is a contributing factor to my sickness. The only thing that almost works is to delicately control my food intake. If I wait too long to eat, I get sick. If I eat too much, I get sick.

Edit: Also, I'm from Shreveport, Louisiana.

Sometimes nausea is just a curse that comes with pregnancy.. it often lets up in the second trimester.. it did for me with my first two. How far along are you now? What was the heart rate on your ultrasound?

I'm 8.5 weeks. Sadly, neither my husband or I caught the heart rate during our ultrasound because I was so amazed and awestruck that I started crying and my husband was too blown away to hear anything but the heart beat. The doctor said that it was good and looked healthy. We have another scan coming up next Saturday. I'm going to ask the nurse in advance to let me know what the heart rate was afterward if I'm again too stunned to focus.

It looks like our dates are really close! Are you coming off your support meds soon? I'm scheduled to stop next Saturday if all looks good. I'm somewhat nervous about that... It's like the training wheels are coming off.
