Margi~ Would hate to meet you in a dark alley...I'd totally give in to peer pressure! Haha! You crack me up. I think I will go buy a box or two of the FRER tomorrow. I have 2 of those here now. I don't have the urge yet, but, once I do, will let you know! I keep hoping I could have a BFP by Thursday, although I know that is pushing it...but it's the hubs birthday. That would be a wonderful gift after the horrible year we have had. Will see if I'm brave enough to test by then.
Rio, you go girl!! That's amazing!!! So happy for you! What a great day for some great news!
mellow - if I could pee on my pants from laughing I would but OHSS has left me with little of it left.
Can you imagine Margi and I cornering you on a dark alley, holding you hostage and forcing you to pee on sticks! Plus it is not peer pressure honey it is
PEE PRESSURE!!!!

Question about the DHEA thing for any of you that have tried it- how much and how long? Can you use the over-the-counter version or do I need to get a prescription from my RE? Since it was never mentioned as an option by him I don't know what his opinion of using it would be. I seem to be reading that a lot of REs are not supportive of it. By the way, had my TSH checked today and it is pretty high again, I'm wondering if that didn't contribute to my poor result this cycle. <sigh> I'm getting my synthroid dose adjusted today, so maybe if I start on the DHEA too I can get my hormones under control a little bit before I try this whole thing again. Just looking for some feedback from anyone who has tried the DHEA as to whether you think it really helped.
cwehrs - I did DHEA for about 3 mos prior to my cycle, my RE was ok with it and said it can't hurt. I took it up to 3 days before retrieval. Got it at Target, 25mg 3 times a day (I was lazy and took all 3 pills one time a day). Also they say it could mess with your hormones so make sure your doctor knows since you are on TSH meds. All I know is my baseline lab works, my prolactin, estradiol, FSH and thyreoid were much better than even 3 months ago before DHEA. The numbers were on the awesome side of normal where maybe they were in the ok range before. It is worth a shot, I also eliminated anything non fat or low fat dairy, google times fertility diet, and did COQ10 4oo a day. Hope this helps! Best of luck for a huge BFP!!!
No beta hell--nope--nada-I am jumping for joy for you---just smooth sailing...well, other than that pesky OHSS thing. Why is it always something? Well at least--as I've said before--its suffering for a GREAT reason.
BTW--you and me--outside Mellow's place...tomorrow about midnight? You bring the sticks

Rio- Congrats on such a great 2nd beta!!!! Sounds like you may have more than one little guy in there. When is your first ultrasound scheduled for? I still dont feel like its real so I almost feel like I should go get some more tests to make sure it stays positive. My first beta was 11dp5dt so I guess 16dpo (hard to say since I didnt ovulate and these embies were from June), then the second would have been 14dp5dt and 19dpo. Anyway congrats and keep me posted on how things go and how you are feeling.
cwehrs- Good luck getting all the hormones adjusted and balanced. Hopefully just adjusting the Synthroid will get things in order for you. Ive never tried the DHEA but like Ive always said I would try anything if it worked.
mellow- Have you caved in to the pee pressure yet?? We are all anxiously awaiting. Hopefully you can get that BFP and give DH the best bday gift!!
margi- Have you started the testing yet? Cant wait to hear more good news from you all.
AFM- Nothing exciting. Just wanted to check in and catch up with everyone. Im sure I left some people off so Im sorry but I try to respond to everyone. Cant wait to hear more good news from everyone.
Margi - it's a date we'll corner mellow and make her give in to pee pressure!
Blair If I remembered correctly your first beta was around 300 right? Your first beta was 16dpo and my 387 was also 16dpo, do you think you got twins? I am thinking one healthy baby in there, I hope. Of course twins would be a blessing but I have to admit I am scared of twins and all the complications with pregnancy, etc... When is your US?
SD - where have you been?
My US is scheduled for December 8th straight to OB since my contract with RE is up. I cannot wait! I will hopefully be just over 6 weeks and praying for a little heartbeat. I think this 2WW is almost as bad as the 2WW, the scare of a m/c or not seeing the HB. My symptoms of pregnancy are all screwed up right now because of the OHSS so I am trying not to obssess about it.

Rio- Yea my first beta was 317 and was 16dpo. At this point I am ok with however many are in there as long as its at least 1. Twins would be great but Id be happy with 1. My ultrasound is scheduled for friday Dec 3 which would put me at 6 wks and 2 days I believe. Hoping we can get 2 ultrasounds in before christmas so we can tell our family at christmas. I think I stay at the RE until they release me which is I think normally 8-10 wks. I like that they give lots of attention and extra ultrasounds though. A friend I work with just told me at lunch that she and DH are expecting and due July 18, so shes about 9 days ahead of me. She hasnt been to the MD yet but will go on Dec 20...so I like the extra attention the RE gives. Anyway keep me posted on how things are going.
Holy cow, there has been a lot of action on here in the last couple days!!!!
Myizzy and cwehrs- my heart goes out to you. Hugs to you both.
KarenS, Blair and Rio- awesome job ladies! I am very happy for you all!
Rio- great beta, how is that OHSS? Has it started to get better? I had serious OHSS last retrieval and they cancelled the transfer- hence the FET.
readyandwaiting- you are girl after my own heart. I laughed out loud in my office reading the post about not going to the store because it is to tempting! I have not POAS yet either. I like to wait until right before the beta or if I start bleeding, whatever comes first.
It is Grey Cup weekend here in Canada- for any Canadian girls on here- this is a big day! My team is Saskatchewan Roughriders!Go Green! I will definitely POAS before the weekend- my beta is monday.

Off of bed rest now! I feel like a new woman. My DH is now pushing me to give into this pee pressure...so far NOPE. I am not ready. I don't have any of the typical symptoms at all....nothing, not even from the progesterone. I think it's because I had recent pregnancies that make the hormones less sensitive for me. The only issue I am having is that I am dizzy. The progesterone is known to do that too, so we will wait and see what happens. I may test on Thursday. Will see.
