How many IVF transfers before pregnancy occurred for you?

I am just wondering how many time people have gone through the IVF process before pregnancy occurred. Also how many embryos were transferred each time and did your success work on a fresh transfer or a frozen transfer? What was the out come singleton or twins etc.

This is my third attempt at IVF with ICSI. The first transfer was 2 embryos and did not take. The 2nd transfer was 3 frozen embryos and one took!!!! Successful pregnancy!!

Now I am doing it all over again and 3 fresh embryos transferred, so just waiting to see what happens now.

On my first frest cycle 2 were transferred. Received BFP, but miscarried. On FET #1 transferred 2. BFP w/twins. However, one twin did not develope. Had a singleton.

Our first round they put in 3 embryos and none took (only 3 out of 4 eggs fertilized). We tried another round but I didn't produce enough eggs so they did an IUI instead. Our 3rd attempt they put in 2 embryos and 1 took and I am currently 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant! We did ICSI with both rounds of IVF.

I'm one of the super lucky ones.

My first round of IVF ended up being a freeze all cycle because I ended up with severe OHSS, but we got 2 perfect little 5 day blastocysts to go in the freezer (used ICSI to fertilise). Then found myself pregnant when one bubsicle was transferred in August, so now 17 weeks pregnant (and keeping my fingers and toes crossed to stay that way until at least 38 weeks!), so still have one in the freezer for next time.

I am also super lucky.

My first IVF had 2 transferred on day 5 and had my daughter who is almost 4.

2nd IVF had 2 transferred on day 3 and just got a BFP on Friday! Betas are higher than with my daughter so we aren't sure if it's one or two yet.

I have never had any left to freeze out of either of my cycles.

It took us 6 cycles to have our little boy. We got pregnant 4 times, all ended up in early miscarriage until the 6th try.

We were extremely lucky on our first IVF cycle to have Zachary...I was 39 yrs old...and we transferred 3 embryos.

Now at 42 yrs old...we are still trying for baby #2...as you can see in my siggy. IVF #2 was a FET with 3 embryos leftover from Zach's cycle that resulted in a 6 week miscarriage. IVF #3, 4, and 5 were fresh transfers...and we transferred 4, 5, and 4 embryos respectively...due to my age and our IF issues. We are now on IVF #6 and hoping an praying for a baby this time.

I had my little miracle on my second IVF try. First time, 2 were transferred, none took. Second time, 2 perfect blasts were transferred, and resulted in my son . I am hoping to start again soon for my second.

Also, I was not the best responder either time. Don't be intimidated if you are not. You only need ONE really great embie!

Hi All,

My first IVF/ICSI was cancelled after a malfunction in the incubator- none of the 23 embryos cleaved due to a failed gas line This was EXTREMELY RARE to happen, never before at my clinic. Then we insisted that all the eggs didn't go to one "basket" for the next cycle!
Second cycle- had 34 eggs, froze 6 embies and transferred 2 blasts- BFN
FET #1 - 3 day 3 embies and we got our daughter
FET#2 - 3 day 3 embies and BFP- but m/c at 8 weeks
IVF#3 - 27 eggs- not great quality this time- only transferred 2 day 3 embies and had one blast to freeze- BFN
FET #3- One perfect Blast- BFN
IVF#4 - 46 eggs- Horrible OHSS cancelled my transfer. I had 8 Blasts frozen
FET#4 - 2 expanded 6 day blasts- my Beta is monday - but I tested at 9dp and it was BFN!

Getting rather frustrated- but I will keep going!

So- not sure how long this next one will take!
Has anyone done "alternative medicine" along with your IVF? How have the results been?

I can't believe you lost everything on your 1st IVF! What happened in that situation...did you lose out financial as well? What are the odds.

well it took me i try iam 26 they put i littlr bubba bk and is going to by here in 2 weeks omg it gone so fast x i was very lucky
