Thank you for the friendly welcome. I did Menopur and Follistim for the first time ever tonight and I am glad to say they really didn't sting as bad as I've heard they would. Phheewww! What a relief! I am also so anxious to get to the retrieval and transfer dates ..especially being that I've been reading other ladies good news with their BFPs! I can only hope this is the beginning of a lucky streak for many of us. Thanks again and I look forward to getting to know you all. :P

Karian..I am crossing my fingers and staying positive that it is just too early to tell. My thought are with you during this wait till Wednesday.

Rio - sounds great! Congrats!

Jen - I'm sorry your beta wasn't better. Congrats on the BFP - but it's always nice when it's such a high number there are no doubts. I really hope it doubles really well! Try to stay optimistic.

AFM - SnS this morning. So far, I only have the u/s results - lining is at 11! After only 7 days of estradiol tablets. Usually it takes 2 weeks to get to about a 10. The nurse said it was great, but of course, I'm worried. Isn't it too soon? I just stopped bleeding from my period on Friday.... I think this'll go one of two ways - we move up the FET to soon, or we cancel. I hope it isn't cancel! I'll get a call later with bw results and instructions....

this is the part no one tells you about! The injections, blood draws, ultrasounds, 2ww, etc I can handle. I *hate* waiting for the clinic to call after a SnS!

yay! I just got the call. All good! :)

I'm not sure what it means that my lining is so thick so early, but supposedly it's a good thing.

I continue my estradiol tablets and go back on Monday for another SnS and to schedulet the FET. I need 5 days warning before a FET (since my embryos are 5 days old and I need to start the progesterone on the day that they "are concieved").... so I'm hoping for an FET early the week of December 5! yay!

Amanda - I guess I do qualify for "FALL" since my transfer will be before the official start of winter!

Good morning ladies! :D

Ladybug: Good luck today on ET!! Rest up and let those embies snuggle in…

Karen: Can’t wait to hear your beta today!! 8)

Karian:
Hang in there, keep up the PMA…I am sending lots of prayers for you geting your BFP tomorrow…

Mishell: See, not so bad? The shots seem more intimidating until you get started. And yes we are in the middle of a FULL ON LUCKY STREAK!!

Leora: Woo hoo! Great news from your SNS…and you are right…that nerve-wracking few hours while waiting to get instructions/feedback can indeed be a pain…especially if you are at work and in/out of meetings and you don’t want to miss the call. Girl—you are going to be PUPO in no time! Did you decide yet about how many to transfer? I know that is a big question for you guys.

AFM? Trigger (7dp-trigger)is officially--out of my system, according to FMU. 8) OF course that was with IC, which showed a faint line yesterday. Should I "waste" an FRER to be sure?

thanks Margi - I think you should wait two days and THEN use your FRER. Hopefully you'll see a REAL BFP!

The desperation is really starting to sink in. Bad day today... most days that start at the clinic are. I can't believe it's almost a full year since we lost our twins. There are so many sad stories on here. What if my next pregnancy is another loss?

I'm a real funk.

If you test with an IC and then compare it to a FRER it's going to be difficult... FRER's are a LOT more sensitive. I had blank IC's seven days after trigger but clear lines on my FRER.

Oh hon.... I know how stressful this all is, and doing a cycle can bring back all sorts of emotion... but the only thing you can control and the only thing you can do to help is to be positive. What if your next pregnancy is the perfect one? What if you are holding a precious perfect baby next year? You have an extremely high chance of everything being totally wonderful.... keep yourself distracted if you need to... but try to focus on the best of it all. ((((((HUGE HUGS))))))

I agree with Sonya. And as an angel mommie of twins, I can tell you there is NO REASON for you not to be positive as heck! I'm a perfect case to reference. I'm 40...had to do another cycle after my loss of the twins...even had to have major abdominal surgery to fix my cervix and make it strong (abdominal cerclage) and here I am...pregnant! There are high odds that you will end up with a baby. You got pregnant before...you know IVF can work for you! I don't recall right off hand why you lost your twins, but I can give you hundreds of examples of women who had healthy babies (several in many cases) after losing a child/children. What I found really helped me was taking some time everyday and visualizing what I WANT to happen. I visualized myself and DH in the OR getting my c-section...getting the nursery ready...pushing the stroller around...playing with the baby...etc. It really helped trigger exciting and positive feelings! It will happen for you! Promise! :)

Leora: Nothing can take away the pain from the loss of your twins. I am so deeply sorry and cannot even imagine how strong you and your DH are to have survived that loss. Clearly the love you have for each other is immeasurable and to have found that so young--you two really are blessed. I understand the "funk" that one gets into time to time to time(!) with fertility treatments, but hold onto the vision and the hope that your time will come to hold your baby in your arms. And yes, there are disappointments, but have you taken a gander recently at the growing list of BFP's for this group? It is huge! :D I am hoping to get my Hannukah miracle with a BFP :) You can get yourself PUPO during the holiday. FETs seem to have really high odds. Hold onto your PMA--your face in your siggie emotes your positive inner light!
