Summit: I had my first acupuncture last friday after my IUI procedure and I loved it. I mean--totally. I felt like I had had an awesome massage when I left that office and slept better than I had in weeks. I agree with "to have fun", I drove home like in la-la land too! I wish I could afford to make it a regular part of my routine, but my insurance doesn't cover it. Gr. Anyway--let us know how your experience goes! It doesn't hurt a bit--if done right. ENJOY!!! :D :D

Summit- I'm sure you'll enjoy accupuncture. I haven't gone since my failed cycle in the summer. It is very relaxing. I was on asprin so I got some bruising from the needles near the end. Unfortunatley it's not covered by insurance and because they're not regulated in my province I can't even claim it on income tax. Plan on going back once I have a better understanding of the timeline for the FET

Ice wine is made from grapes that have frozen on the vine(which makes it pricey) It's sweat and makes an excellent dessert wine.

Anna- how did your pap go? Thought of you when I went for mine last week.

Marg- Your half way thru the 2WW? hope you get great news of a BFP

AFM- AF arrived so I'm set to go for my first US on Tuesday.

Thanks for all of the feedback on your experiences with acupuncture! I am looking forward to the appointment. My insurance does cover acupuncture with a referral from my primary care physician; however it does not cover it for infertility. So my doctor wrote a referral for the issues I have been having with sleeping or rather not sleeping the past several months. Based on all of your experiences it sounds like I may be sleeping like a baby on Tuesday night!

Hope all of you are feeling well. Have happy Halloween!

Acupuncture is going well. The first appointment was a little strange just because I did not know what to expect, but during tonight's appointment I felt much more centered and relaxed. The doctor is going to try some treatments that should help with fertility... We will see if it works. I spoke with my nurse at the fertility clinic last week and I am scheduled to start my final round of IVF in January 2011.

I hope all is well with all of you. I think of you all often and keep you in my thoughts.

Happy Tuesday Evening,

Summit- Glad the acupunturre is going well.

I surged on Sunday and started taking Endometrium yesterday. It' smore expensive then the prometrium, but easier to use and not as messy. So worth it in my opinion. I'm on a higher dose then last time hope it will help things stick. ET is tentatively scheduled for Saturday. Hoping snowball makes it thru the thaw.

Time will definately go by quickly because of the holidays! We have so much to look forward to in this upcoming NEW year!

Can hardly wait to get DH's defragmention results to see if we might be a good candidate for IUI. He's wanting to give it one shot and then resort back to IVF if needs be. In the meantime we're looking for ways to cut back and save $ for what has become our biggest priority. Hope I didn't make a big mistake by cancelling our consultation with the new clinic in Mobile, but after thought it does makes logical sense.

Heidi, best of luck to you for the transfer.

Since my acupuncture appointment on Tuesday I have definitely been sleeping better this week.

On a side, not I am not adjusting well to the cooler weather of fall! The massive snow storms of last winter seem still a little to vivid...I want to go on vacation somewhere warm 8)

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I haven't responded sooner. My aunt passed suddenly on Friday so I've been helping my mom with funeral arrangements etc. Transfer was on Saturday and it went well. They thawed snowball an hour before transfer. He was frozen on day 6 so a blast rated AC . Our clinic doesn't rate them after thaw. Trying to stay relaxed amongst family stuff. DH has been very supportive. Off to bed I have to go back to work tomorrow.

DJ-BJ, It is good to hear from you. Things sound promising... transferring 2 and still having 4 left to freeze. Hopefully, you will have something extra to be thankful on Thanksgiving this year!

take care,

yup summit...the RE called me last nite and she said she was excited and happy for us, which actually was so different reaction from my last ivf when i used my own eggs and failed. i also asked her how much % success rate and she said high like 70-80%. my beta is next week ,thurs thanksigiving day... so funny though cause i ate in a mongolian restuarant last month oct 25 and my fortune cookie states that i will be fulfilling my goal in 2 months. my beta is november 25, and christmas day is dec 25 exatly 2 months so hopefully everything is going to positive!!! my donor actually is good. this is her 2nd cycle and i opted for a shared donor to be less expensive. she triggered 24 follicles, half for each of us recipient, 12 retrieved for each and 7 fertilized, transferred 2 and froze 4.....so i dont know, i dont wanna have my hopes up so high, but i do want to stay positive........

Dear all,

Hi, I am Kerri. I started the first ivf in September and it is my second attempt now. Before the beta test tomorrow, I join this BFN group. Like my first IVF, the menstruation came before the test. I guess the doctor will have me continue the third attempt immediately. I start feeling annoyed by the whole process and feel like a baby machine...

Does anyone know what it implies when menstruation comes 11 days after ET?
