You girls had me laughing so hard :D Guys really say the funniest things.

AFM I am still here. The BFN hit me pretty hard this time but I am meeting with RE next week and hoping to do a few IUI's with FSH (we have never done those just clomid) and if they still don't yield results then we will try another fresh cycle once school lets out for summer.
I promise I will do personals a bit later. I had the worst stomach flu ever the past few days and ended up in the hospital after I blacked out in the middle of the store so I am still recovering. Apparently the prednesone we take to improve implantation rates really does weaken your immune system because I never get sick with these things and this was awful. Home now and resting.

Hi Ladies,

I had my follow-up/post IVF consult today. Our RE was so very kind and compassionate. Just super super nice!!

We have one frostie that is a "good B". He doesn't like doing FETs when you only have one but he said he will do whatever we want. It's totally up to us.

His recommendation is another fresh cycle. He said he would change my meds up a bit. He would start me out on the higher does of Bravelle that I ended this cycle on and add in Menopur (I think) and another drug that I can't remember the name. I think it started w/ the letter "d" He said it's the drug they use for poor responders. He said he wasn't putting me in the category of poor responders but more of a slow responder. He's hoping that by changing up the meds we'll get better quality eggs. My number was good (15) but the quality was lacking.

My husband said if $$ weren't an issue, we would go for another fresh cycle; however, $$ is an issue. Dh thinks that with the extra hours he's picking up and our tax refund we could swing a fresh cycle but it will be TIGHT....very tight!

I asked the RE if he would give a percentage on the FET resulting in pregnancy. He said probably a 60 - 70% chance it would make it through thaw but then only at 25 - 30 % chance it would result in pregnancy. Not the precentage I was hoping to hear but I'm thankful for his honesty.

We still aren't sure what we are going to do. If you have any Bravelle that you won't be using, I would love to be the receipient of it. :-) That would certainly help with the costs.

Do y'all have any thoughts or input?

Nancy

Karian - We're not giving up on you either! Congrats on a positive beta and I'm going to hope that it rises beautifully!

Annashope - Wow, that's scary!! I'm glad you're home and resting now, so take care of yourself.

karin - Glad you're in good spirits! I don't understand why they still can't tell you if that embie froze. Seems like most people are told within a day or two, but who knows! Enjoy your Thanksgiving and not too much longer until beta day!

Nancy - I'm glad your appointment went well, but sorry it left you with more questions on how to proceed. Sounds like that switched up protocol might be similar to what I did last time with the high dose of Bravelle & the Menopur. And you know those 4 vials of Bravelle I have left are yours for the taking. I know it's not much but you will always be my cycle buddy and I know every little bit helps. (And I'll PM you when I get home from my appt later!)

Hi ladies - just got back from my u/s and we saw & heard 1 heartbeat. YAY!!! What a beautiful thing!!! We couldn't stay on it long enough to get a measurement but the RE said it sounded nice and fast. That baby's CRL measured 6w2d and we're 6w6d but RE wasn't concerned about that. The 2nd sac though has not progressed at all. It is a lot smaller than A and has no evidence of a fetus at all so they think that one's eventually just going to be reabsorbed. Next Wednesday I have an appt in the a.m. to meet a new OB/GYN and then another 7:45pm appt with the RE so we'll get more peeks at the little one next week. Can't wait!!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!! And since I'll be traveling in the morning and stuffing my face the rest of the day, I'll post the updated list on Friday.

Jennies- I am so sorry you had a chemical, so frustrating. THat is great news that you still have frosties!!! Hopefully they will be in mamma soon!

Amanda - yeay for a healthy HB!!!! Congratulations! Sorry about the other sac not having a baby. I am so excited for you and can't wait to be in your shoes with the US!!!

Nancy - if you can afford it I would say try for another fresh cycle I know it is hard to afford it, we are on our #3 out of pocket and it is hard. Maybe you can enter into an agreement with RE, also did you have a fresh cycle this year? If so than anything medical over the 7.5% over your adjusted gross income can be deducted from your taxes. I hope you guys can do it again! Good luck! OH my RE added Femara is that the drug you are talking about?

Annashope - yickes, sorry you are sick. Hope you feel better soon, keep us posted on your IUIs!

jennieswa- so sorry that it's a chemical...but i'm glad that you have 3 frosties to work w/. when will you be doing the fet do you think?

amanda- i'm so happy you got to hear the heartbeat...how cool! i'm so sorry about the other sac...how sad. but let's focus on the positive. enjoy your day tomorrow!

nancy- sounds like your re has put a lot of thought into this new plan & it will be just what you need for a bfp! i'm hoping you guys get a nice, fat refund check & the new, fresh cycle won't put too much of a damper on your finances.

anna- wow...the flu really hit you hard! glad you're ok! i'm sorry you're still upset about your bfn, but it's totally understandable. we're here for you. i hope the iui is just what you need for a bfp, but if not, i will be rooting for you in the summer. being a teacher, which i am too, & cycling in the summer is so much easier & less stressful.

karian- that is right...do NOT give up! i'm not giving up either! here's to a nice, big jump on saturday's beta!

amesy- can't wait to hear about tomorrow's u/s!

rio- i'm so freakin happy for you! i'm not happy about your ohss & how it's making you feel, but i'm glad that it seems to have hit its plateau, so it should be subsiding soon. feel better!

karin- sorry about the house drama & not knowing what's up w/ your embie, but glad that you're in good spirits overall! that's what you need to be right now!

kbillsy- sorry about the bruises...it sucks being a pin cushion! i don't know anything about the estrogen priming protocol...sorry, wish i could help. good luck on saturday's sns...let us know how it goes.

stephanie- how awesome that you've "graduated"...that is so exciting! i hope your an ob who is open to the birthing plan of your choice. yes, twins CAN be delivered vaginally...my twin brothers were!

chelle- i hope you get to start your meds SOON!!! sorry about the menopur not being covered...insurance companies can be so cruel sometimes!

lou- hope everything went good for you & dh today! i'm holding up ok...as best as i can, i guess! i feel so bad about your situation...it is discouraging, but overall, we have to look at the good things...you're able to make excellent quality blasts, which is great! we just have to work on the implantation part for you. i think i'm having the opposite problem, lol!

ryann- too funny about your sister's bf, lol! men! i'm praying for your dad...hoping everything works out!

lauren1171- sorry af is being an evil witch! how did your sns go today? that was sweet of your sil! your dh is hilarious! sounds like something my dh would say.

margi- i'm loving your blinkies!!! loving your "no stress" attitude!

nat&alex- i'm so sorry sweetie about your bfn...it's awful! i know exactly how you feel. but you have to look on the up side...you have 4 frosties waiting for you! when will you be doing an fet?

tammy- how are you? how goes the stims? i saw on f/b that zach was not into the whole take a picture w/ santa thing...poor thing!

cheri- my twin!!! how are you feeling?

karen- awesome beta! i'm so happy for you!!!

i know i missed so many of you, but please know that i read daily & pray for you constantly!

afm...so i can't believe i'm next for a beta! i don't know how i feel about it. i think i'm very indifferent...i'm not loosing my pma, but i guess i'm just preparing myself for either result. like i've said before, i'm praying daily & having a lot of positive thoughts & visualization. i have no symptoms! well, i'll take that back. i've had weird cramping & tugging on my left side & into my hip/thight (this was this past weekend & my left ovary was the 1 that had more follies/eggs), heartburn, constipation, & major hot flashes, but i know the pio is a real b*t@h that likes to mimic preggo symptoms, so for all i know, it's all from the pio.

i'd like to wish everyone a very happy thanksgiving...enjoy your day! i'm very thankful for all of you wonderful ladies & as much as i don't have that 1 thing i truly want, i'm also thankful for my life & the people who are in it.
ME: 32

nancy, ester & rio - Thank you all so much! We are sad at the fact that the second sac hadn't progressed but we're just feeling like maybe it's the universe's way of making sure we have one healthy baby at the end of this (as crazy as that may sound.) Multiples definitely would have been an added risk with my questionable cervix that's undergone so many procedures. But oh, that heartbeat was just a beautiful thing and now I feel like I can relax a bit more. We definitely have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, that's for sure.
