Finally, we are pregnant. We decided not to tell anyone until we hear a heartbeat. So that is why I am here. I have to tell someone. My doc called at 1:00 today and said my beta was 266. I go back on the 14 for the next blood work. Hopefully it will jump by 60% by then. I have felt a few symptoms, the last two days, but would not get excited because I know how our heads play tricks on us.
My struggle has not been as hard as many on here. I have two children from my first marriage in my twenties. Now I am 42 and going down this path again. DH and I decided two years ago we wanted to try for one together. The IVF process has been a real blessing to us. I have a strange peace about me and hope this is a good sign. Now we just have to wait and see what happens.
Thanks for listening.
That is great news! I understand how you feel regarding telling everyone but just be in the moment and enjoy your good news. We have all been down different roads in life and we have ended up here for one reason or another but the great news is that we are here for each other. Congrats once again! Please let us know about your second beta.

That is a great second beta! I can't wait to hear about your u/s on Nov. 1st to find out how many you are having!
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here. Took off to see family and destress. First ultrasound was great. We are thrilled to have one in there. Saw the heart beat and DH was beaming. We go back for second ultrasound tomorrow and my final blood work. Took my last shot tonight and took off the patches. I hope the blood work tomorrow shows all is well and I am producing my one hormones. Just 4 hours after taking the patches off I have a dark discharge and hope this is normal. I will check in the morning.

Oh that is great news that your first u/s went well! Good luck w/ your second u/s and blood work but I am sure everything is fine. The dark spotting is ok because it signals old blood but I would still inform your RE and keep an eye out for any bright red blood or cramping.
Angela,
Thank you for your reply. It helps to hear from someone who has been there.
Second u/s was canceled this week due to heavy snow in our area. Everything has been closed for two days. Will call Monday and get checked out after the holiday. Still having some dark discharge ever so often, bit nothing bright. I did have blood work done this week to check my numbers and they said everything was great this past Monday so I should not worry. Just sometimes it gets the best of me. I had my DH give me a blessing that was very comforting and put my mind at ease. I have to remember I am 42 and just may have a soft cervix this time.
Good news! Went for u/s and all is good. Our little bean was quite active with a heart rate of 167. Spotting has stopped and I am feeling much better. I feel like a 20 lbs has been lifted from my chest. I tried getting in to my new OB, but was unsuccessful with all the snow here, but when I called the clinic where we had the IVF done they took me right in. I had already been discharged from them the week before, but they were there to help. I am really impressed with them. Now I just have to make it through the next 29 weeks.
